A person pushed enough from whatever ridiculous action causing him to react aggrievedly could mean one thing. And that one thing, Adrian will never forget.
He did not expect the stranger to really believe his words.
Another round of heart dropping on the floor. Him in addition flop on the ground. He lost the chance to hold him.
The loud crash elicited painful moans coming from Adrian. Being dropped unannounced is painful. Thankful, his buttocks landed, not his whole body.
"Hey!" Adrian looked above and did not like the view.
This handsome looking youngster, totally his type stares him down condescendingly. Cold. Head tilting away slightly with a downturned mouth. This movement flaunting his arrogance left an awful taste.
His first impression of him. More likely the tiny flame of attraction. Rush of curiosity and setting his heart to worming his way towards the stranger's heart ceasing its movement. His desire sprouted like a newly growing plant withered. He would not like to have a companion as rude as him. Looking down at him is a no no.
Adrian fakes his smile.
''Thank you for letting me fall down abruptly.'' A sarcastic remark left his lips before he could think of the words he utter.
Right, he has this bad habit of saying what he is thinking of. Before he could be apologetic about his insolent words, magnetic laughter rang in his ears.
''It's my pleasure.'' The brunette replies.
The curve of his eyes into smiling stabbed right through Adrian. The once cooled flame begins to emit fire once again.
He forces himself to look annoyed. He wanted to retort but he was not given the chance to. The arrogant youth walks away, his back straight; his ink like hair fluttering.
Adrian felt his heart skip a beat. Though, he does have any plans to pursue the latter because of his actions.
''He looks kinda familiar.'' Adrian utters.
He racks his brain, trying to remember where he had seen him. Fluttering his eyes closed, he went down memory lane, backtracking what happened. It had gone to the point on one particularly eventful evening last week.
His eyelids flew wide open. Coarse words arising in the depths yet he forcefully regains his senses. An intelligent gentleman does not use such crude words. Only those incapable enough are.
Ugh, he forgot. Isn't he the Lucas Allard Adrian has been studying about? The ice prince of his rival school. The other tiger he had been anxiously wanting to glimpse. The rival he had been thinking over and over again.
Lucas pondered what transpired. He had a faint familiarity with the person. He only realized when Adrian had fallen into his arms in a bridal style. The pixelated picture in the spur of the moment flash in his mind. Face overlapping, it did take a few seconds before realization dawned on him.
His foe had come to him, not him. Lucas is not to be blamed with how presumptuous he is. After all, his action does not sustain gratitude, a negative response is what he got. This disrespect, he could take such that he resorts to also being contempt in return.
An eye for an eye. Or, do unto others as you would have done unto you.
Adrian had started it, not him.
Lucas had given his response adhering to his principle. Although, he desires to have no connections with him. Alas, seems impossible right as of this instant.
He finally had seen the youngster in the flesh. The picture did not give justice on how he looks. Adrian really does look better in person rather than in the picture. Although, his attitude is questionable.
A waste of potential if his attitude is rude.
Lucas has no control over his attitude since it might be how he was raised in his home. Whatever, this is not his problem. All he needs to do is focus as he usually does.
Dispel all the distractions coming in his way and compete with Adrian as much as possible in any given situation.
Coveting to see who could surpass the other will be such a fun thing to look forward to. Years of being in the top, it has come to this juncture of fierce collision between them.
Lucas foresees what will happen this school year. The calm years of reining. Being in the position of the most excellent person. His reign is about to undergo major changes if Adrian lives up to his expectations.
Especially the dull life he had lived, spicing up his last year.
Lips hooking up, he mobilizes his limbs to bypass a lot of students rushing towards the flag ceremony area.
The loud blare of bell resounded throughout the school, signaling that it is time for the morning ceremony they all do.
Pupils with different uniforms look confused as they were being led on by the Student Council member's to the field.
Clad with the same uniform as him, he calmly walked towards the spot he had always been at. His classmates had formed a straight line, from short to the tallest in the room. He, the tallest in the class, stood at the back.
Owen cranes his head behind and carelessly moves a step behind.
"Did you get the peace of mind you wanted?"
Owen knows the place Lucas had been to. He always does because it was their routine. If they feel suffocated, that place could calm the nerves and tingly feeling of anxiousness.
"Yes."
The positive answer came. Owen nods. He then did not bother Lucas anymore as he felt multiple eyes attach on his friend once more.
Lucas became the center of the attention unknowingly. His attractiveness had caught everyone from the opposite school off guard. Their movements dallied to take a peep of him.
They do not bother to cover it up.
Adrian had come to a decision to just stand beside the last row on the side. His classmates were being directed to his direction which his decision he made is correct.
Forming a line and being the last, he yawns. His sleepy eyes treading towards the line beside him.
It came to a full stop for a split second. Rather, it had stayed and fixed on Lucas Allard as he was standing beside him.
As if feeling a burning gaze, Lucas looks through the corner of his eyes and electricity sparks between the two while their gazes collide unbeknowingly from the rest of the crowd.
Their paths clash with each other, albeit harshly than they intended it to be.
