Chapter 75 - Celestials and Dragons

The next day

The duo left Marineford, leaving Sengoku in charge again. Sengoku didn't know what to say, he was basically the Fleet Admiral at this point!

Sugar was left at home as usual and didn't mind, she liked the peace and she knew that Galan was trying to help her. Her thoughts changed from fear of Galan to intense rage and hatred of Doflamingo.

It had been 10 years since she was stuck in this 10 year old body and she hated every second of it! She didn't ask to be immortal! She wanted to fall in love and have a happy life, maybe start a family but all that was taken away by that bastard!

She wanted nothing more than to rip that piece of shit apart with her bare hands. And her sister too! Sugar blamed all of them for what happened to her, she wasn't 10 years old anymore. She knew how the world worked now, she couldn't believe that dumb whore of a sister she had let them do this to her.

Sugar cut Monet off in her heart, she had a new family now. She didn't need someone who associated themselves with scum!

If possible, Sugar wanted to become a Marine… After watching Galan for so long, her passion for justice had been ignited. She was inspired by him! Not only that but Olvia would tell her bits and pieces of Galan's past when she asked why Galan would scream in the middle of the night.

Sugar was floored by what she heard, wasn't this exactly what happened to her!? Ever since then, Sugar wasn't scared anymore, but passionate! Whenever she was fixed, she would uphold justice like her new dad!

Doesn't matter if it was in this era or the next. Or the one a hundred eras after that!

Secretly when nobody was looking, Sugar would go out and practice the movements. Although she was permanently as weak as a chicken, it didn't stop her from practicing the movements every day.

The more she did it, the easier it became because of the experience she had before. Sugar discovered a hack! If she practiced like this for a long time, couldn't she theoretically have combat experience compared to an old person?

Suppose she wasn't cured for a 1000 years and trained for all that time before finally being released from this hell. As soon as she became a little stronger, wouldn't she be invincible!?

Sugar's imagination exploded! She giggled cutely, those scum will never escape! Evil will know fear and it will be named Sugar!

Don't look at her features, she was actually quite smart. Olvia made sure to educate her thoroughly. In reality, unless you really had a mental deficiency, even the dumbest person could become extremely smart.

The process was constant learning with an open mind, if you question everything, you will receive more and more opinions to base your own ideologies on. The sum of Human intelligence is built on top of countless questions, no matter how stupid or smart the questions are, it's the variety of responses that allow you to learn and grow.

A person could study books for a 1000 years, but they will never be as smart as someone who asked questions for 100 years. Reading was good, but mental stimulation to your problem solving process helps the brain grow and advance.

Vegapunk was also like this, the only difference was he ate the brain fruit and would remember every piece of knowledge he ever read. However, that didn't mean he didn't ask questions! He formed a research team a long time ago for this exact reason, the saying two heads are better than one is true because your questions are answered by someone who thinks differently from you.

So, in this regard, Sugar was a very smart person. Although it would be normal if she was 20, but she looked 10, therefore she would seem to be a 'genius'.

At any rate, as Sugar practiced in secret…

Galan and Olvia were playing chess on the boat over and over as Galan tried to think about his predicament. The more he thought about it, the more Luffy seemed to be the right choice. However, he had many other plans to fall back on.

He was prepared for refusal. The fact of the matter was, he wasn't fully aware of Luffy's personality. Only feeling that he was a good seedling with his own type of Justice. Galan labeled these types of people 'Pseudo-Marines' belonging to the righteous party.

Others who had this same type of character but chose to stand by and do nothing were useless in Galan's eyes, part of a neutral party.

Whereas people like Doflamingo were part of the 'Celestial-Pirate' party. Galan came to this judgment, not because Doflamingo was a Celestial but because Celestials were the epitome of evil in Galan's eyes, although in the end these were only labels for Good and Evil.

Galan had his own system for this, no matter who it was there was always a degree of suspicion because Evil could strike at any moment. He was sincerely ready to put even his daughter down if she became evil.

Not to mention evil pirates.

As he was thinking these things, the ship slowly sailed on before finally arriving at Mariejois 11 days later.

During these days, Olvia and Galan would play chess, read, take in reports, and fish. Everything was together, Olvia was in paradise every time they went sailing.

A silly girl.

She had never been to Mariejois before and Galan brought her up the elevator with a submissive smile on his face. Olvia was wearing her favorite outfit of white florals along with her white blindfold, pretending to be blind as she held Galan's arm.

She was even wearing contacts under the blindfold just in case. Although, Galan was sure it was safe for her to be here. There was no risk of exposure to her identity, this he was sure of. The only complication might be…

Sure enough.

As they were walking to the castle at the back, a Celestial drooled at Olvia's long legs, shouting "Stop, slave! Hand over that woman!" Olvia giggled and held Galan's arm tightly, hiding her inner fear.

Galan smiled submissively, saying "Saint Rosthorn, this is impossible. You see this woman is a Vice-Admiral. Marines are prohibited from becoming slaves at the Captain rank and above. However if you truly would like this woman, I will talk to they 5 Elders for you."

Olvia was nervous and hugged Galan's arm, feeling it tense up and tremble unnoticeably. She was suddenly filled with warmth, this crazy guy wanted to blast this pig into meat sauce at the moment, right?

All because of her? She rubbed her face on his arm lovingly at the thought.

Rosthorn froze and turned pale thinking of the 5 Elders, he remembered his father said 'My beautiful perfect baby son, you can do whatever you want in this world, anything. The world belongs to you, the only thing is never anger the 5 Big brothers in the castle. You're destined for greatness! As long as you don't do this.'

Rosthorn knew his place instantly and backed off in fear, not mentioning it again. They were mentally deficient on top of the Red Line, but all of them knew that the 5 Elders were the leaders of all Celestial Dragons.

If put into simpler terms, the people on the sea are slaves, the Celestial Dragons are peasants, and the 5 Elders are Nobles.

Although it was more like the 5 Elders were the Kings of the Celestial Dragons. That didn't mean that the Celestial Dragons were useless… Not true at all! Many Celestial Dragons were less intelligent than rocks, however a few were extremely cunning and smart. Some Dragons are even political advisors for the 5 Elders.

Although, the Politics were of Celestial nature. Meaning, if the 5 Elders were the Kings of Mariejois, the Dragon advisors were like court advisors and handled affairs of Mariejois instead of the whole world.

It was a bit complicated, but the essentials were in the hierarchy of Celestial Dragons. Not all of them were equal, funnily enough. The closer they lived to the Palace, the higher their position. The irony here is that the Dragons closest to the Palace probably see the Celestials at the gate as slaves.

Galan wasn't only the Fleet Admiral, he was deeply entrenched in Celestial Politics. The higher tier ones called themselves Dragons and referred to the lower class as Celestials. If you were a smart person, you would see how insidious this really was.

For the moronic Celestials, they achieve the vanity of being Celestial, while the ones who care for power choose the less grand 'Dragon' title. This makes them seem weaker as the less intelligent nobles have their egos boosted.

As for whether their complaints or words even get passed to the 5 Elders…

Hehe…

There was a reason the Dragons situated themselves as close to the Palace as possible.

The 5 Elders didn't care about this at all. This was a normal occurrence for them, not even Noble was retarded. There would always be struggles for power, that's how they climbed the top themselves!

However the difference was they snuffed out any rebellions instantly.

The horrors of the Capital of Mariejois wasn't as simple as slave trade.

Galan realized this a long time ago… That was a dark day. He was shown all the political schemes as a Dragon tried to pull him into his group. However, Galan remained a neutral party being the Fleet Admiral and all.

He didn't tell the 5 Elders though.

As a result, the Dragon amassed a larger group of Celestials and a few more Dragons before they were all slaughtered. Galan was happy. He didn't tell the 5 Elders because he wanted that Dragon to drag as many people down with him as possible.

Result was a success!

Through the years, Galan instigated many political rebellions and killed countless Celestials indirectly. He would fan the flames or directly entice them to action before tipping off Cipher Pol, who investigated before telling the 5 Elders.

After a single night, these people wouldn't exist anymore.

Contrary to popular belief, Mariejois was much, much larger than a single city.

It was more akin to a country or a continent. There were more Celestial Dragons than everyone thought. They lived in their own bubble figuratively and literally. An entire society of these people.

They were never as arrogant up here to other Celestial Dragons.

Galan found it very interesting. As did Olvia, she watched all this only hearing it from Galan's mouth before. However, seeing it was something to behold. The classic Bubbleheads she had seen before couldn't compare to this, she felt a strange sense of 'They're people too' however Galan shook her out of her thoughts.

She looked up at him as he looked at her expressionlessly, as though saying 'Never feel sympathy for evil.' she came to her senses, indeed! She was wrong in this case.

Galan turned back as they approached the Castle, Dragons looking at him before turning away, doing their own thing. They were in the loop as well, not ignorant like their lower class brethren.

Warlords would be coming soon, this was an opportunity to possibly recruit some generals to their war camps.

Galan smiled enthusiastically and a submissive look appeared as he glanced at the Dragons while walking into the Palace with Olvia.

In fact, what Olvia thought wasn't wrong.

They were people as well, this fact was undeniable. Although they would have you believe differently, they were truly Human. The only difference was they indulged in evil without hesitation or thought. This is what led Galan to not view them as people, more like animals.

Animals scramble for power and food in their environment, threatening other animals and claiming territory. Animals don't have a moral compass and are incapable of higher level thought processes.

This is what separates Humans from Animals. Although they share the same origin point, they are not actually the same. To Galan, these animals are sub-human. Better off nourishing the dirt than wasting the oxygen.

The World didn't need this refuse.

He would clean everything up.
