Galan sat at the desk and Olvia was in a corner of the cabin, staring at the window as the ship slowly sailed to Marineford. She suddenly asked "What now?" Galan ignored her but she went on "You take me to a Marine Base and lock me up, feed me like a dog, are you gonna use me too?"
Galan walked over and squatted down as she turned to him, he held her chin before slapping her in the mouth. Olvia coughed and spat out a few teeth, glaring at Galan, who grabbed her lower jaw, turning her back to him as he said slowly "Ask me if I'm going to rape you again and you'll be a toothless whore begging in the alleys of Marineford, understand?"
Olvia spat blood in his face and retorted "I'm not scared of you. Unfortunately." Galan tore off a part of her dress, wiping the blood off his face as he said "You should be." before throwing the cloth back to her and going to sit down, writing in his book.
Around 10 days later
They finally arrived back at Marineford.
Galan held his coat and suit jacket over his arm with Olvia hiding inside of it as he walked off the ship, going to his office. He entered the building and Kong called him up. He didn't even blink, walking into Kong's office with Olvia on his arm, saying "What."
Kong looked at him and said "I heard what happened." Galan blinked slowly, replying "Just a hiccup." Kong held his temples and pointed at him saying angrily "I swear to fuck, Galan! If that rat bastard, son of a whore, faggot shitstain goes missing, it's on your fucking head! You hear me, asshole!?"
Galan nodded and said "I got it." Kong sighed and smashed his table in half, shouting "I'm serious!" Galan nodded and repeated "I got it." Kong glared at him, his hands crackling with black arcs, veins throbbing on his forehead.
Galan looked at his hands, then his forehead, then his face, saying slowly "You need to relax. I'm not gonna do anything." Kong grit his teeth and said "Not just on Marineford!" Galan looked at him before walking out of the room as Kong roared "I'm telling you, Galan!"
Galan's voice replied to him, "I don't know what you're talking about." as he left. Kong was trembling in anger as he knew that face Galan made. When Galan gave that blank look and repeated words, he wasn't listening at all.
Kong shouted "SAKAZUKI! GET THE FUCK IN MY OFFICE! NOW!" his voice smashed through the walls of the Marine HQ building and spread across the entirety of Marineford as all the Marines froze.
Fleet Admiral only did that when he was really, really, angry! What did Vice-Admiral Sakazuki do?!
Galan returned to his office and threw Olvia to the side behind his desk as he sat down, receiving a call almost instantly. He answered "Hm." The Elders sounded from the snail, "Excellent work as usual, Admiral." Galan smiled submissively, replying "Of course, anything for Justice." Olvia looked at Galan with disgust as the Elders agreed, "Recently, Fleet Admiral Kong has been doing excellent work as well. Perhaps it's time for a promotion. This would empty a position." Galan said fawningly "Fleet Admiral Kong works very hard, Sir. I thank you on his behalf."
The Elders replied "Of course. We've received nothing less than excellence from Kong. We hope to receive that very same from you, Admiral. That'll be all for now." Galan replied gratefully, "Thank you, sir. I'll wait for further instructions."
The Elders hung up and Olvia sneered "Look a good dog! Are you gonna bark?" Galan ignored her and took out the snail array, his expression returning to blank as he dialed, saying "Dragon, the promotion is secured. Casualties are nearly the entire island." Olvia froze and Dragon sighed, "I should've taken the residents…"
Galan frowned and replied "Unfortunate, however hindsight is 20/20. I made a mistake in this operation by sending Sakazuki to the scene. The deaths of these innocents are on me. I will deal with Sakazuki in a bit, however, I couldn't save the Scholars." Dragon got down to business, asking "What's the play?"
Galan wrote down in his book, "Jaguar D. Saul is currently thawing on O'Hara, being spared by Kuzan. The Books and pieces of knowledge are sitting in a lake next to the fallen Tree of Knowledge, there is also a Poneglyph under the Tree in a secret room. By my calculations, it's estimated that Saul can not only be trusted, but may even provide a channel for Giants to join the cause."
He looked at a calendar before continuing "However, depending on the temperature of Kuzan's ice, he may have thawed already and left, or is thawing at the moment. I'd wager to say you have a 2-3 day window where your chances of bumping into him are the highest."
Dragon hummed and flipped open a book on his side, writing all this down, muttering "If we can secure a channel into Elbaf, we might not only have a powerful ally but a fortress. The territory of the Giants is nearly forbidden to Marines and World Government alike. Do you have intel for me to work with?"
Galan flipped the pages of his book, replying "I'll notify Shakuyaku to prepare it for you. If you have an opportunity, get it to Saul and tell him to bring it back to Elbaf. The Sheep's House debacle." Dragon flipped his pages and nodded, "The Sister Carmel incident… That could work."
Galan asked "What's your status on the Army?" Dragon looked around him at the people coming and going outside his office, replying "Excellent. We're recruiting talents everywhere we spread the word. People don't want to be living under tyranny anymore." he looked at a guy with a massive head and another with bear ears before adding "Found some reliable guys too."
Galan nodded and said "I have Nico Olvia." Dragon froze and shouted "WHAT?! WHERE?!" Galan replied "Right next to me, at Marineford. We will reconvene at O'Hara in 3 months exactly. I will bring her to you." he looked at Olvia, adding "The only survivor of O'Hara."
Dragon let out a breath and said "Alright, see you then." before hanging up. Galan called Shakuyaku and informed her to hand Dragon the 'Sheep's House' files before hanging up and putting away the snail array.
Olvia looked at him and said "I can't understand you." Galan ignored her, writing in his book, booking at the calendar intermittently, Olvia continued regardless "You're becoming the Fleet Admiral, you're a dog for the World Government, but seem to also be the leader of the Revolutionary Army…"
She stared at him in utter confusion and asked "Who are you really?" Galan paused for a moment before continuing as he replied softly "I'm whoever I need to be. For whomever needs me to be it." Olvia retorted "But you lie to everyone! You didn't tell the Marines about me, you didn't tell the Gorosei about the CP9 agents, and you didn't tell the Revolutionary Army about Robin! Who's side are you on, anyway!?"
Galan closed his eyes and let out a soft breath from his nose, saying gently "The only person you can trust in this life is yourself. For the Marines, I'm the ruthless Admiral Black Raven. For the Government, I'm the loyal dog. For the Revolutionaries, I'm the secret weapon behind the scenes. Who am I? I'm nobody. I am not. I'm on the side of Justice. I don't have a name, I don't have a life, I don't have a reason."
He looked at the book and paused for a moment before adding "I just am. I am a machine of Pure Justice. No matter who, no matter when, no matter how. I will come for those who commit evil. It's only a matter of time." he turned to Olvia and continued "I'm the scum under your fingernails, you get it? There is no ME. I see, I breathe, I feel, but I am not like you. Don't get familiar with something that isn't human. It never ends well."
He turned back to his book as Olvia stared at him with glassy eyes. She laid her head on the ground and looked at him with a complicated look in her eyes, saying softly "Then I truly pity you." Galan frowned slightly but ignored her, continuing his work.
A while later
Galan carried her out of the HQ building and back to his house.
He took her handcuffs off and let her go, saying "You'd be smart to not leave this house. There's food in the fridge and books in the living room. Keep yourself occupied and you'll find your time here shorter than expected." Olvia rubbed her wrists and looked at him as he pointed at the stairs, saying "There's a bedroom upstairs with a bathroom, I will get you clothes tomorrow. Clean yourself up."
After he was done, he took off his shirt and threw it in a basket before grabbing half a dozen bottles of whiskey and walking outside. Olvia watched him go and asked "Where are you going?" Galan ignored her and closed the door behind him, grabbing a chair by the door and walking to the beach.
She walked to the window and saw Galan put the wooden chair in the sand on the man-made beach before sitting down and drinking as he watched the sunset. She sighed and muttered "What a miserable man." before turning around and walking upstairs.
Another while passed
Olvia was sitting on a bed wearing a big shirt and boxers, feeling strange. This guy… did he give her his room? She checked the whole house and there were no other rooms besides this one.
So unless he was hiding a room then this was most definitely his own room!
Olvia felt extremely uncomfortable. This had been the first time she's been in the room of a man since her Husband died… And a Marine no less…
She felt a tingling all over her body and left the room to go find Galan. When she came down the stairs she heard muffled sounds from outside and walked over to see Galan hunched over on the chair, leaning on the bottle of whiskey, holding his face and crying by himself.
Olvia froze and stood there, staring at the hunched figure in silence. She watched as the so-called 'Inhuman machine' wasn't as inhuman as it had claimed… Then she shook her head and forgot about it. It wasn't her problem and as it had said today, they weren't friends, there was no need to get familiar.
She turned around and hesitated a moment before returning to the room and laying down on the bed in silence.
The next day
