Chapter 87 - Buying A House

It didn't take long for him to leave the core region. A servant of the Hal Family giving him a token, allowed him to pass easily, with no guard making an attempt to stop him. By the time he left the core region, he could see the sun above his head.

'It's noon already. I think there would be enough time to buy a house for today. I should get them first,' he thought to himself, heading towards the inn where he dropped his family.

By the time he reached the inn, he saw his family having lunch. The first one to spot him was Mashia, who nodded at him before parting the seat next to her. He obliges to her request, sitting next to her.

The others remained silent, though they gave him a pointed look. He accepted the look, knowing the night after tonight, he would have to deal with the three women. But for tonight, he would spend his time with the dragon princess, if she wished to have that kind of relationship with him.

He ordered some food, observing his family while waiting for his family. Seeing the happy atmosphere, he smiled as this is the life he hope for his family.

After he finished his food, he led the group to the real estate office. Thankfully, the map he got after registering had marked the location of the place. Getting there is still troubling, as while the location was marked, the path to the place was not.

Thankfully, after being lost 3 times and asking directions from the locals, they reached the place. The real estate office is big, with some people entering and exiting the place. From what Solance and Solail told him, the real estate place is also a place where merchants who rented stores or people who bought land inside and outside the city pay for it.

As he was only there to buy a house, he knew he should get to the housing selling department. But he looked for the man from the Hal Family. It took him some time but he found the guy, a man with the emblem of the Hal Family on his shirt.

He headed towards the man before showing his token. The man, surprised by the appearance of the token took out a communication token, where he seemed to exchange some words with his superior.

After getting some confirmation, he offered him an apologetic smile, before leading him to the house selling department room. Entering the room, they saw several counters, each manned by a staff.

The Hal Family personnel led him to an empty counter, the person manning it looked surprised by the sight of the Hal Family people. Seeing the young man in front of him, it didn't take the staff long to realize the young man had some connection to the Hal Family.

"Welcome to the house selling department. Here is the lot available. Which of these would you like to buy?" the staff asked. Before Ryker could take a look, Esran jumped onto his lap before looking at every lot and pointing at one located near the core region.

"Here," he said calmly, the staff about to say something before his eyes slightly widened, the personnel of the Hal Family having the same look.

"There are several houses in the lot, all of them are expensive. Do you want to hear the infrastructure each house has first?" Esran touched his chin before answering.

"Just tell us the infrastructure of the biggest house," he told the staff.

The staff nodded, "The biggest house has 1 master bedroom and 6 bedrooms, each connected to a bathroom. In terms of other rooms, it has the biggest kitchen, dining area, living room, and outside area, which has both a garden and a large space for one to train. The house also has a large bathhouse, with the water can be set to hot or cold,"

Hearing this, Esran thought about something before asking, "What about formations? Does the house have any formations and if it does what kind of formations is it?"

"The house has two formations, one for protecting the owner and the other one to gather energy for cultivation. The defensive formation is called the Genesis Barrier Formation. It is evaluated as a Grade 3 Genesis Formation.

As for the cultivation assisting formation, it's called Genesis Gathering Formation and is also evaluated as a Grade 3 Genesis Formation. Are there any questions regarding the house?" the staff politely asked.

"Hmm, can the formation be upgraded, to say, Grade 4?" he asked, the staff seemed to be thinking about it.

"Hold on, let me check on the option first," he took out a handbook before looking at it. After scanning the information, he closed the handbook and nodded.

"Yes, the formation can be upgraded, whether the new owner already moved in or not. However, the cost would be nearly as much as the house, which is already an exorbitant 60,000 gold coins. Upgrading both formations would make the cost around 160 000 gold coins," the staff said, reminding him of the cost of the house.

While it would be a problem before considering how little they had, the patriarch had given him a generous sum of 200,000 gold coins, enough for the upgrades while leaving some for future use.

"Yes, we accept it," Ryker said, making the staff smile to widen. "Alright then, as for the Great Family discount, the price will be dropped to 140 000 gold coins, please tell me if you wish to pay with installment or pay in full. If you wish to pay with installment you will have to pay an interest of 1% every year," the staff explained.

Ryker took out the pouch the patriarch gave him, a spatial tool that stored all the money he had given to him. "Here," he said.

The staff takes a quick look. Seeing the appropriate amount, the staff smiled before taking out a contract, "Please sign here and here, and here," he pointed to several spots, Ryker signing it.

The staff furled the contract and gave him a token, "This token will allow entry into the house. After you enter the house, the house will automatically activate the defensive formation. The defensive formation is mostly powered by the city's formation, while the energy-gathering formation operates independently

Because it will take time for us to inform the formation masters to upgrade the formations, you have to wait. It will take from 2 to 3 days before the formations can be upgraded. If you don't have any other questions, I will send a guide to lead the way,"

Ryker nodded, before leaving the place, the man from Hal Family following him.
