The eyes are a weakness that 90% of living creatures have. Losing one of your senses suddenly is a situation that ensures panic. Your other sense take a while to adjust, but just because your body can, doesn't mean your mind will.
*Flash back*
Currently, Chizuki was in a stare down with what's to become her first victim. A huge tiger standing around 6 feet tall and two meters in length. with black fur and red patterns covering its entire body.
It had to long protruding fangs and dark green eyes shining with bloodlust. It looked like a saber tooth tiger, and it was known as Kibatora.
Chizuki was thinking about the best way to deal with it but the Kibatora didn't give her a single second to think and ran at her with blinding speeds covering a hundred meters in 2 seconds.
Chizuki's eyes widened, and her body tensed. As soon as the Kibatora was within striking range, it lifted its paw, that was the same size as her head, and brought it down with unbridled fury.
Chizuki jumped out of the way, causing the paw to make a shallow gnash on the floor, However, Chizuki's landing was anything but graceful.
She landed on her side and rolled once or twice before she managed to stablise herself, yet the moment she looked up, she saw the beast mere seconds away from pouncing upon her once more.
Scrambling to her feet, she managed to jump back around 2 meters, causing the Kibatora to miss her.
This, however, is an opportunity she wouldn't miss out on. The Kibartora had lunged at her with its mouth wide open, intent on removing her head but, upon missing, he left himself vulnerable, something she picked up on.
Chizuki used Soru, appearing beside the Kibartora instantly, and the used Rankyaku, sending a wind blade straight through his eyes. Unfortunately, it wasn't strong enough to remove its head, but it did, destroy one of its eyes and create a deep cut in its head.
The beast roared in both pain and rage. It squirmed and bounced in agony and cursed at the loss of of his right eye. Chizuku decided not to wait for it to recover and instead Grabbed onto its thick fur and used it to flip herself onto the other side before repeating the same thing as before.
Afterwards, the fight was simple. The Kibartora roared and whimpered in pain and anger, yet it was nothing more than a beast backed into a corner. He couldn't see her, and is mind was in too much chaos to think calmy, thus, she finished the fight rather easily, by plunging her hand straight through his eye and using shigan to destroy his brain...
It wasn't exactly a pretty sight. She looked like some sort of vampire with glowing red eyes and blood soaked clothes.
She was about to sit down and take a break. This was the first time she had ever killed after all and she hadn't really thought about what she had just done thanks to the adrenaline and the fact that it was either her or him.
But then another one landed around a hundred or so meters away from her courtesy of a laughing Garp. Thus, round two began.
-
Eventually, she got used to killing. One of the reasons she was able to convince herself was because of her counter style. She concluded that, as long as she doesn't attack first... its self-defense, right? And if she just so happens to annoy someone enough that they attack her... its self-defense, right?
This tiger training lasted around two weeks and she was forced to fight tigers every day until she defeated 30 of them. Eventually she became strong enough to do so rather easily, but she didn't always walk away unscathed. one time, during her first three vs one fight, she let her guard down and received a rather grueling gnash on her hip.
This resulted in her slowing down and reduced her mobility and flexibility, resulting in more minor injuries. Thankfully, after killing those three, Garp decided to oh so mercifully let her rest for the rest of the day.
But surprsingly, when she woke up the next morning, she didn't have a scratch on her. Unfortunately, this meant that Garp once again threw three of them at her and rinse repeat.
-
After this trial. Dozens more took place. He sent her everywhere he could. From island to island. One that bathes in everlasting darkness, one that Is shrouded in an everlasting storm, a frozen wasteland, a scorched desert.
Each time she was left for around three weeks and told to survive. She constantly had to fend of beasts hellbent on making her their next meal and sleep with one eye open lest she get attacked during her sleep.
Each island was more dangerous than the last, but she persisted through it all, honing both her skills and her will. Unbeknownst to her, the more trails she took, the stronger her will became and if you add that to her love for fighting, an unknown energy began to bubble within the depth of her soul.
-
This training of hers lasted the remaining two years of her four year training.
Her skills, battle experience, strategic planning, instincts. Everything about her fighting prowess improved by leaps and bounds.
Even her overall demeanor changed. She went from a smart yet clueless child to a Smart, yet experienced fighter. The only thing she is missing is experience fighting the treacherous, scheming mind of humans.
-
A lot more has changed within these four years too. For one, Garps son Dragon, left the marines to create his own army called the revolution army. Last year he even went and had a child, making Garp an official grandfather.
Garp was also given care of his grandson "Luffy" which was a surprise for everyone. He suddenly showed up with a baby less than 6 month old in his arms and declared "This is my grandson Bwahaha" So now there is a little crying baby living with them.
The man known as Whitebeard declared fish-man island as his territory, giving Sengoku a headache since it means Whitebeard could have a potential army of fishmen.
Another big name, Oden and his wife were executed by an emperor on par with whitebeard, Kaido, the worlds strongest creature. Though their son alongside one of Odens weapons miraculously disappeared in a flash of green light.
-
After Chizuki finished checking out the changes in her body and reminiscing about the past four years, she began to make her way downstairs, on her back however, was a bag filled with clothes and essentials.
Arriving downstairs, she saw both Garp and Sengoku playing cards whilst waiting for her. Luffy was chilling in the corner in his baby basket having a nap as usual. crumbs staining his cheeks.
Both Garp and Sengoku were looking at the two cards in their hands with pure concentration. Sparks could be felt before them. A golden Buddha manifested itself behind Sengoku, an aura of peace and virtue spreading through the room.
A Bigger version of Garp manifested behind him, spinning his fist around without a care in the world. The tension nearly solidified, until both of them slammed down their cards at the same time.
"Gaahh"
"Bwahaha, you lost Sengoku. That's another box of crackers for me."
"Wha- That wasn't part of the rules!"
"Bwahahaha don't sweat the small stuff. Don't be a sore loser."
Sengoku began to grumble under his breath about his loss before noticing Chizuki watching them with a deadpan face. He coughed twice before noticing the bag on her back and smiling.
"You ready then?" He asked to which she nodded.
Today was the day she enlisted in the elite program for marines. She would move to an island nearby, a place in between the headquarters and impel down, and live there for the next two years and graduate when she turns sixteen.
Because she's joining the elite program, when she graduates, she's guaranteed a rank of at least 'commander'. If she does well enough, she may be able to become a captain straight away.
She was looking forward to it however, as she wanted to see how she compared to the other "genius" recruits. These recruits are supposed to be like her, so she can't help but be excited to kick their as- *cough* spar with her fellow geniuses.
-
Sengoku and Garp were seeing her off as she left. A special ship was coming to pick her up and it would pick two others up as they headed towards the island.
They were currently standing at the docks waiting for the ship to arrive.
"Remember what I taught you brat" Garp said and Chizuki nodded.
"If someone annoys you, you punch em.
If they hit on you, you punch em.
And finally, "A box of crackers a day keeps the hair from going grey". Though I'm not sure how the last one is relevent?"
"DAMN IT GARP" "BWAHAHAHA"
Sengoku gave Garp a good whack on the head but the man treat it like bite of an insect.
"Try not to get in too much trouble Chizuki, though as long as you don't kill anyone you'll be fine.... and if you do tell me and I'll fix it Rahahahaha *cough cough* Though seriously, try not to kill anyone."
Chizuki giggled at his words but still nodded her head, nonetheless. They continued giving out their "words of wisdom" until the ship she was waiting for showed up. It was pretty much just a regular cruise ship, after all, there is no need for them to go all out for a couple of brats.
Eventually, she said her goodbyes to her two guardians and boarded the ship, she was met but a man who asked for her name and then led her to an assigned room.
He told her the journey would take around 3 days and that she's free to wander the ship so long as she isn't caught causing trouble. 'Caught' being emphasized, something she picked up on.
She decided to place her belongings on her bed and then go and get food since she skipped breakfast this morning due to excitement.
This begins a new chapter in her life.
