Chapter-66: A crime footage.
Some Officers were thinking about the case in the office and some officers were at the crime spot. They all were there so that they could find evidence on the spot and for that they all were checking that place once again but they did not find anything and they all had to come back to their office empty handed. James was in his chair and he was looking at the pictures very carefully so that he could find anything in those pictures but after looking at the pictures for an hour, he could not find anything and kept sitting on his chair silently.
[Looking serious]
GK was looking at the footage which they had made at the spot and he was scratching his head because he did not find anything and looked at James.
"Jam…"
He saw James, he was sitting seriously, and on his table many pictures were spread and GK knew what he was thinking… he always used to see him like this when something was going on in his mind. Ashley and Lana both were cross checking one file and they also saw James and went to GK.
Ashley - "What happened to him?"
GK - "forget it, he is like this."
While talking other team members came there and George was along with them and when he saw James, he asked him what happened to him. James answered that he was thinking about the case because from the crime spot, where did that killer disappear? This question was eating each and everyone's mind. George wants to tell him that there is no need to take so much pressure on his mind but before he speaks… an officer came there with a gift box.
"Sir!! Someone has sent this box to our office and there is a name written at the top."
For the FORCE team was written at the top of it. Mark took that box and put it on the table which is in the middle of their office.
[Standing around that table]
Officers were trying to understand what was in that box and George asked to open it but before an officer opened it, he stopped him and asked him to check it before he opened it. Duke brought a detector and checked that box.
[Beep sound]
[Checking]
"Nothing sir!!"
He opened that box and they all wondered when they saw a compact disc in that box.
GK- "what the heck is this?"
He was surprised to see it and James asked him to play it. GK took that disc and played it.
[Footage was running]
While watching footage they realized that they had seen that place before and GK told them that they had seen that place before but he wasn't able to remember that place and where he had seen that place.
"Hmm!!"
James scolded him and told him that this was the crime spot from where they had found the dead body. [Surprised]
GK was surprised. While watching, a man appeared on the screen who was murdered by the killer. That man was standing in front of the camera and suddenly, he shouted and fell down on the floor.
[Shocked]
All officers were shocked to see that there was no one in the room and suddenly, the screen got blank and they thought that the footage was finished but some words appeared on the screen.
[Reading]
"Catch me if you can."
The killer had called them and he wanted them to catch him. James took out that disc and put it inside an evidence bag and George went inside his cabin and all officers were behind him and stood around his table.
[Silence]
George took one pen in his hand and started stamping on his table. That sound was increasing the passions of all the officers. George was looking angry and frustrated also because a killer had sent a disc to their office and the killer asked them to catch him.
[Hitting hand on table]
"Dam it. That bloody thing is calling us. We have to catch him."
They knew that they had to catch him but how because they don't have any clue but they have that dead. James had already met his family members and they all went to the forensic lab with that disc.
All officers entered inside the lab and George told Albert that they both have to get retired because they need rest. … Albert was surprised when he heard that and he asked why he was saying this. George gave that disc to him and he played it and after watching the footage, he also got angry and he broke the pen which he was holding in his hand.
"Bloody hell."
From the dead body, they did not find anything and even from his dress also. They all were angry and now, they all get fired up when they had a call and George was informed about a murder.
They all went to that place and the place where murder had happened was a library and it was another man who got murdered from an unknown killer. All officers again wear their gloves in hand and start their work. They were checking around and some of them were asking questions to those people who were standing there. GK was taking pictures and Hank was busy making footage of that place. In that library, there were a lot of books around in almirahs and on the table. James was checking the dead body and found that the killer had attacked him from the back side. Meanwhile, an ambulance came outside and they sent that dead body to the lab for checking. James was standing at his own place and looking around… he was looking at all those books and he stood in front of an almirahs which was also full of books.
"Math!! I hate this subject."
He took that book which he was reading and came back to the office. They all were thinking about the murder which happened recently and James spread all the pictures on the table which was clicked by GK. … James also brought those pictures which were clicked before and he put those pictures on the other side of the table. All officers were trying to understand what he was doing and George asked him what he wanted to do?
[Biting lips]
James was standing silently, and in his mind that footage was running which was sent by the killer.
"Sir!! There is a clue and that clue is hiding inside these pictures."
[Surprised]
All officers were surprised and looked at him because in those pictures, they could see any clue but James was saying that there was a clue.
[Break time]
All officers were in the canteen area and they were eating their food. James was sitting idle, he did not want to eat and thought that he should go out for a small round or walk. He went down and went out for a small walk. While walking he was thinking about the case and he forgot where he was going. While walking, he went a little bit far away from his working place.
In the city, there was a huge crowd walking on the road and James was between them. There was a lady who was wearing blue colored pant and white top. She was holding many pamphlets in her hand and she was giving those pamphlets to all the people who were walking around her. She was having a very innocent face and a very lovely voice and with the help of that lovely voice she was trying to give those pamphlets to different people but some of them used to take it and some of them used to throw it on the side. When someone throws those pamphlets on the road, she picks them up and starts her work again. She was doing her marketing work and she was standing outside a female dress shop.
"Mam… this pamphlet from our shop, please visit."
Before she finishes her saying, they walk away from her and act like they didn't see her.
James was walking and she saw him and thought that he should have a wife or girlfriend and for her, he can come. She tried to stop James but James was thinking about the case and while thinking, he did not listen to anyone and he accidentally collided with her.
[Collided]
She fell down on the road and all the pamphlets spread all around the road and people walked on those pamphlets. When she saw footsteps on pamphlets… she got shocked and made her like she wanted to cry. Suddenly, the owner of that shop came out and she was very arrogant. She scolded her and that lady was listening to her but James walked away from there… he did not notice that he collided with someone.
In the office, all the officers came back to the office and found that James was not there.
Ashley - "where is he?"
James was not there and they don't know that James is out and even GK also doesn't know about him but all officers were asking from him.
George- "call him and check… where he is?"
Duke called him and asked him where he was and he also told him to come back to the office.
