Chapter 6 - (CHAPTER 6) : DUNGEON AND A MYSTERIOUS SKELETON

It is a new day. I finished watering the plants, washing the dishes, cleaning the windows, and sweeping the floor with Flora and Choco helping me, and I have plenty of free time to do some workouts and do some practice while Mariane is currently at school.

I then go to the forest alone, where we saw the titan that tried to attack us. Even though I am still not sure if I have the courage, I still want to test my skills and improve the way I fight. I walk for almost thirty minutes until I see a weird entrance that looks like it will lead me into an underground dungeon. I summon four shields that will protect me if I am attacked, and I then enter without hesitation.

When I got inside, there were really wide pathways. The path was full of rocks and roots. When I got into the main room of the first floor, there were six pillars and a lot of roots. there were also two doors on the left and the right. I then went to the left door, and when I got inside, there were a lot of slimes. They then dashed in my direction, but all of them died one by one after I hit them with my shields. They dropped some loot, but it was not that rare. After I finished killing those slimes, I found another staircase, and I then climbed down the stairs. It makes me wonder

"Can I also kill god-like creatures by just hitting them with shields?"

When I got down on the second floor, the monsters changed and they were not slime anymore but rather skeletons on the second floor. As they ran to kill me, I then attacked them using my shields again, but it didn't work, and all of them just came back to their original state. I noticed that they were not ordinary skeletons that can be easily killed, and they have a small red crystal inside their ribs. I tried to crush one, and it did finally work. I then slaughtered them one by one until none were left standing.

I then found another set of stairs and a huge door painted gold. I opened the door, and then I saw a lot of statues and paintings. as I walk around looking for another path. Then a sudden, loud noise was at my back. When I turned around, a knight holding a giant axe was about to kill me. I was not in time to defend it using my shields.

"Wind of storm blast" a blast of wind magic blasts the knight.

When I turned, Mariane was holding her wand and pointing at the knight. I ran in her direction and hugged her.

"IDIOT!! "Why did you come to this dangerous place alone?!"

"Sorry, I just wanted to test my abilities."

"Don't make me worry like that!"

"Sorry, I won't do it again."

"Whatever"

"Anyway, while we're already here, let's find if there is a forgotten treasure here."

She then tagged along on my adventure inside the dungeon. I noticed that there were a few traces of tears in her eyes. We then go deeper and deeper inside the dungeon until we find a giant mirror door that reflects. When we saw the reflections in the door, we noticed that we were actually very dirty from the fight with the monsters we saw inside the dungeon. And we just laughed at how dirty we've gotten.

We then slowly opened the giant door. When we stepped inside, there was a large pond inside, surrounded by beautiful, almost extinct flowers. We looked around and noticed that there was actually a person wearing a cloak sitting on a chair in the middle of the room.

"After centuries of waiting, someone has finally arrived, but it seems you two are weaker than me. One has a single type of magic, and the other has two. How weak"

He removed his hood and looked at both of us. It was an undead skeleton with a black core inside his ribs, and he was holding a staff with three colored crystals: green, blue, and red. I assume he is a mage with godlike abilities. He was not like the skeletons I've fought before; rather, he had a terrifying aura, and his core was a different color than usual; usually it was red, but I had never heard of a bleeding heart.

"His core is black, not like the usual skeletons that we've seen."

"Yeah, do you think we can beat him?"

"I'm not sure, but I'll protect you at all costs."

I summoned almost a hundred shields to surround me and Mariane. And we then prepared to defeat this godlike creature.

"Hahaha, two kids like you won't stand a chance."

He then raised his staff. The three crystals glow, and a ball of magic with fire, water, and wind was created by him.

"I have never seen three magics combined like that, and he didn't even chant."

"Is it really that rare?"

"Yes!"

"I see that you two fear my magic, but do not worry; this will kill you quick."

He then blasts his magic in our direction. I then created a wall using my shields to protect us. When it hit the wall I have created the blast suddenly disappear.

"How can someone with only one magic skill and only one type of magic depend on that attack?"

"Wait! How did you do that?"

"I'm not sure, but I do know that it's not over yet."

"Foolish humans, die!"

He blasted a lot of magic, but none of it hit us. We then made a quick plan before attacking. When we have finally created the perfect plan, she ices the pond while she dashes towards the enemy, and I protect her. They throw magic at each other, and I run towards the enemy's back. But he suddenly saw me, and he cast magic towards me, but I was not hit. While he was not looking, Mariane stabbed his core with ice spears.

"Hahaha, someone finally killed me, huh. Well, it's time for me anyway."

"Do you know the name Shraud?"

He then fell to the ground, laying there crying with tears of joy.

"Shraud, you say; I have never forgotten that name. That was the name of my brother, who turned into a vampire, turned evil, and then killed everyone I loved."

"Can you tell us where he is?"

"Sadly, I do not know where he is, but if you find him, promise me you will kill him so that he will not hurt another soul."

"I promise!"

He then banished everything into thin air, including his cloak and staff, leaving no trace except for the stones. The stones were still on the ground, so we picked them up. Then a small house suddenly appeared out of nowhere. We go inside. There's a bed, a table, a chest full of gold, and a chair. On the table were a diary and a lamp. We took the diary and the chest. And then we head out. When we headed out, it was already nighttime, and we walked talking to each other.

"Luckily, there's gold. We can finally buy food again."

"By the way, how did you know that I was here?"

"Ummm, that's because... I put a spell on you so that I know where you are." Her face has started to blush.

Why?

"To protect you if you are in danger, idiot. You were even almost killed earlier. Luckily, I came for you."

"Well, that's true, thanks for saving me."

I smile at her. Her face was really red, and she didn't even look at me. We didn't talk until we got home because it was kind of awkward.
