It has been three months since I came to this world and to this house, but it felt like I'd been here for a lifetime. Another new morning. As I was cooking the best breakfast that could make people addicted to my cooking and a feast for all of us, the doorbell rang. I walked to the door and opened it, but nobody was there. When I look around, I can not see anyone until I notice that there is actually a small envelope on the ground. I picked it up and opened it slowly. I unfolded the paper inside and read it.
"Do you want to know your past, your purpose, or the reason why you have existed in this unknown world? If you want to, meet me on the top of the tallest snowy mountain. Do not bring anyone with you; if you do, you will never find me there."
I was intrigued by the letter. When I look back inside the house, I notice someone walking in my direction. It was Mariane who was looking cute with her drowsy face.
"Who was it?"
"I do not know who it was. When I opened the door, there was nobody outside."
I can not tell her about the letter because she might not let me meet this unknown person.
"That seems odd."
"Indeed."
"By the way, what is for breakfast?"
"I cooked some egg rolls with chili sauce."
"That does not sound like breakfast, but whatever."
We ate the egg roll and prepared her lunch box for school together. As she went to school, I started cleaning the house and started practicing my shields with Flora and Choco near the garden outside of the house. After that, I got tired and entered the house and sat on the couch.
Several minutes later, I rested myself after a long training session; it was already three in the afternoon. I reach my left hand into my left pocket and take out the letter I got this morning. I put it back in my pocket and headed out of the house again.
While walking to my destination, I was told to pass the village of the goblins that attacked me the day I got here in this world, but I noticed that there was not a single goblin I saw. I did not expect to see that the forest was really quiet, and not even a single monster could be seen around me. I also passed the place where I and Mariane were attacked by the titan, but it was still silent, and not a single monster could be seen anywhere I went.
I arrived at the base of the mountain, and I did not know how to climb the mountain without getting hurt. Then, while I was thinking, an idea came to mind. "What if I use my shields to form a ladder since it is limitless?" I then summon endless shields to form a ladder for me.
When I finally reached half of the mountain, I did not expect it to be so tiring. I tried to sit down on the ladder of shields I have created to rest for a few minutes for now.
After a good short rest, I started climbing the stairs once more. I was not expecting to reach the top of the mountain in half an hour.
As I step on top of the mountain, an unexpected small house comes out of nothingness. I did not expect to see a house on the tip of the tallest mountain.
I knock on the door.
"Who's there?"
"It is me, the one who received the message."
"Oh, Athrun,"
Athrun? Who is that? And why does it feel like I have heard that name before, but I do not remember where I heard it? I did not expect to be called Athrun, a name I have heard before, but I do not remember where I heard it.
"Yes, it is me."
I did not know how to reply to that, so I just acted like I was this person named Athrun. Even though I do not know what will happen to me when I meet this unknown person inside the house,
As the door opened, a young lady was seen inside the small house. She had the same color of eyes and hair as Mariane's. Blueish eyes that look like sapphire and long white hair.
"Come on in."
"If you will excuse me,"
"Would you like to sit down?"
"Ohh, okay... thanks..."
I sat on the chair near the table as she put some biscuits and tea in front of me. I did not expect she would have already prepared some tea and biscuits immediately.
"So you want to know the real reason why you have come to this world?"
"Indeed."
"Very well, then," she says as she sips her tea. "But firstly, my name is Alicia."
I did not expect her to have a similar name to Mariane's dead sister. Moreover, she had similar traits as Mariane.
"You came from the world called earth, and you were summoned through someone's wish."
"What do you mean?"
"People who came from different worlds had a reason to be summoned to this world, and most of them were wishes from specific people, for example, someone who wishes to be married to a beautiful woman. Then, any person who fits the image of that person's wish will be summoned through that portal, but the wish will only come true for the nearest person to the portal. Moreover, the wish will only come true if you wish for a person to exist, and the summoned person will lose most of his or her memory."
"But who would wish for me to come true?"
"I may have someone in my mind, but we do not have a definite proof that can prove that it was this person."
"Who is this person?"
"It might be Mariane."
"Wait a minute, how did you know about me and Mariane? And why did you call me Athrun?"
"It is a secret."
Then suddenly, someone kicked the door open from the outside. It was Mariane with a fierce face.
"I have come to save my darling, Alfred."
"Even though we are not dating yet,"
"What are you doing in this place alone? I thought something bad happened to you.
"Alone?"
I looked in the direction where Alicia was, but she was not there anymore, and the whole place turned into an abandoned house.
