Chapter 39 - Chapter XXXIX ۞ Thays ۞ Part III

ALL THE ANGER I WAS FEELING VANISHED. I really wished my siblings would protect me the way he's doing for Aaron. They really have each other's backs, "Luke, it's easier for him to break me heart than the opposite."

"We are serious, Manu!" Ethan put down his spoon and glared at me fiercely, which was really adorable. "If you hurt Aaron, we'll make you deeply regret that. You don't understand how he felt when that… whore broke him like that. And we won't stand by and watch it happen it again!"

Scoffing, I took them by surprise and jumped over the counter, playing with my hands, "Oh, but I get it. I do," I looked over to them. "And if I'm not wrong, Nicole," I said her name like a curse, "was with him for his money. She didn't loved him and was with him just because of how rich your family is. Then she got her claws on your cousin, no?" They seemed annoyed by it. "Now," I grinned, "if you compare his sole fortune to mine, you will see that I'm richer than he is. So, I'm clearly not with him for money," although I am making him buy more than 200 books for me to help him in this façade.

"Wasn't you single for year? How do you get what he went through?" Bradley questioned with his eyebrows up.

"Well, I've dated once and in short, it was traumatizing enough for me not to do it again for years. And if one thing, I think my situation might have been even worse than his. Since he was never so close to your cousin Arwyn, was he?"

"No!" The brothers muttered.

I chuckled bitterly, feeling sick, "Yes. My situation was definitely worse. So, you don't have to worry. I'm not the type to be with someone for money or for anything like that. And I definitely am not the type to cheat," jumping from the counter, I sat on the ground. "If anything ever happens between us that makes us not want to be together anymore, we'll end things like adults, maturely. You don't need to worry about me breaking his heart, it won't happen," especially because I don't have his heart to begin with.

They all seemed uncomfortable with my words. And we stayed in silent until Bradley broke it, "What's your zodiac sign, Manu?"

"Aries."

"Blood type?" He asked again.

"AB."

"If you had to resume Aaron in a song," Luke finally spoke again and I turned my gaze to him, "which song would it be?"

The words slipped out of my mind before I could control it, "Middle of the Night by Elley Duhé." And I felt my face burn the second I said it. "It's a good song."

"You know Collide by Justine Skye and Tyga?" He asked strangely amused.

"Of course. I love that song."

"When I asked A, he told us that was the song that reminded him of you. And he answered just as fast as you did," what? Collide?

My skin burned and I got up again, turning my back to them and washing my bowel. "It's a good song. I'll go out in a minute to buy the groceries that are missing," I held the list up and turned around. "Will you leave before or will you go with me?" It was supposed to be a question that showed them how I wanted them to leave, but they took the other route.

"We'll go with you," Nithya exclaimed.

I clenched my jaw, "Okay. I'll just change clothes. Wait for me. Again, feel at home," then I left the kitchen with my phone in hand.

Collide. I can't believe he thinks of me when Collide plays. And when did he said that to them? Was it when they were in his office earlier?

Stacy's Brother by Mad Tsai played on my phone while I got ready. After passing some curls cream in my long hair to make it look better, I decided to let it loose over my shoulders. Then I stripped out of my pajamas, put on a black bra, a black turtleneck with long sleeves shirt, and a high-waist black jeans, with a pair of black socks and my 6 inches ankles-length boots. Plus my perfume, my rings, my long gold star earrings, a black mascara on my naturally long eyelashes, and my crimson red lipstick. Lastly, I changed my things to my transversal Valentino black bag, and put my sunglasses inside it too.

Pausing the song, I took the keys of my black Mercedes Benz G-Class and with my phone in hand I left my room. Ignoring the fact they were all snooping around my apartment, I went to the kitchen and put the list on my bag as well.

"Wow, you are looking hot," Luke said.

"Right? Oh my God, Aaron's lucky," Nithya added.

I rolled my eyes, smiling, "And here I was thinking he was joking when he said you two would try to flirt with me," then I went to the front door and they followed me. As we left my apartment, I locked it and put the key in my bag. We went to the elevator and I touched the button for the under garage. "Is all your family tall too, Nithya?"

She nodded, "Yes. Everyone is taller than you."

Ethan chuckled, "What about yours, sister-in-law? Are all of them… short like you?"

Yeah, they are definitely Aaron's siblings. "First of all, I am not short, okay? You are too tall. And no. My family is pretty much as tall as you all, I'm the… well, the shortest out of all of them. But it doesn't make me short."

"You are short, Manu!" Bradley said smiling.

"No, I am not!"

"Did you put the high-heeled boots because you got annoyed since we are all taller than you?" Luke grinned.

Yes. "No. I usually go out with this boot. It's comfy."

"You really have 9 siblings?" She asked, biting her bottom lip. "It's really 10 with you?"

"Yeah. In age order, it's Graziella, Enrico, Lorenzo, Cecilia, Giovanni, Leonardo, then the magnanimous me, Alessandro, Paolo, and Amalia."

"Triplets. Triplets. You. Triplets. The 7th, right?"

I nodded at Ethan, "Yes."

"All Italian names," his boyfriend added.

"We actually call each other by our middle names, which are the Italian ones. Their first name are different and more Brazilian. But as we don't really use it, it doesn't really matter. And yes, all Italian, since we are all partially Italian!" The elevator doors opened and I guided them to my car. "Girls on the front. Nithya you come with me in the passenger seat, the boys go on the back!" I proceeded to open the back door and then the door for her, then I went to mine and turned the car on.

Connecting my phone on the car speaker, I turned on my Spotify and put Weekends by Freya Ridings to play. Nithya took the liberty to take my phone on her hand and look at the wallpaper Aaron put on yesterday, one of the photos we took on the mall. "Cute."

"So, there's something I wanted to ask you. Do you know what's your parents dream destination? Or a place where they would really love to spend some peaceful time?" I asked as we stopped on the first out of the four red signals from the building to the supermarket.

"Sicily, Italy," Ethan and Luke answered together.

"What about you?"

After some time, Bradley spoke, "Me and Ethan would love to go to Santorini, in Greece." That's quite romantic, indeed.

"You two?" I looked at Nithya.

"Ibiza, Spain," they said together.

"Do you know about Henry and Sakura?"

The brothers chuckled, "Oh, yes." Ethan exclaimed. "They are addicted to Korean culture, and K-pop. So, it's definitely Seoul, South Korea."

"Oh, they like k-pop? Cool. Any favorite group?"

"Stray Kids," Nithya exclaimed visually done. "They always listen to them, and talk about them. All the time. It's really annoying. Korean and Japanese culture. They only talk about that, really. But as Sakura is half Japanese they have been there countless of times." I like that group too.

"Interesting. And your grandparents?"
