Chapter 30 - Chapter XXX ۞ Thays ۞ Part III

"THANK YOU, SWEETHEART!"

"Mine is still better though," I exclaimed grinning when we sat down on the table at the cabin on the left corner. "Hi, again, Graham!"

"Sister-in-law," he greeted me with a smirk. "It took you two long enough. You look normal again."

"Graham," Aaron censured him, annoyed.

"How tall are you, sister-in-law? I hadn't realized you were so short when I saw you in the car, but you look so small with my brother," he ignored Aaron, smiling at me. "Are you what? 5'8? 5'7?"

"5'5 without heels!" I looked at the heels tied on my ankles, and then back to him. "Those beauties make me somewhat taller than that. And I'm not short, Graham. Your brother is just unreasonably tall." I opened the menu, "What do you want to eat, darling?"

"I'll follow you, sweetheart. You know more of Italian cuisine than I do," now, that's a good attitude.

I'll just be careful and keep in mind his food allergies. Sea food, coconut, avocado, almond, salmon. Mind noted.

When the Giovanni came to us again, he had an iPad and iPen in hand, "You will be choosing, Miss?"

"Seems like I will," I smiled at him, already liking how cute he is. "Is your surname Italian, Giovanni?"

A nod, "My name is Jay Giovanni Mazzarini. The first name is more English because it's easier for people here. What about you, Miss? Is your name Italian too? Or are you Italian by your mother's side?"

"My dad's. So, yes, Italian name. Although not the first one either. Emmanuelle Rossetti. Thays Emmanuelle Rossetti. Both me and my nine siblings have the Italian middle name plus the surname."

The boy gasped, "Nine siblings?"

"A lot, isn't it? I get that a lot. I think my parents were inspired and without a TV," even Aaron chuckled when I said that. "I'm the 7th child, and the 3rd daughter. 6 boys, 4 girls. A very big and Italian family."

"That sounds exciting. What is your mom's nationality then? If you are only partially Italian."

"Brazilian. I'm Brazilian-Italian, born in Brazil. But our family is all cultured like an Italian one, maybe because of dad, nonna and nonno, and their influence on us all."

"You said you were a Rossetti, right?" A nod. "Sounds familiar. You got a outstanding girlfriend, Mr. Aaron."

"I did, didn't I?" He exclaimed grinning at me, he held my chair and made me get even closer to his, then my waist with his long sculpted arms possessively again. "Ready to order, sweetheart?"

When he asked that, Giovanni looked at me, preparing to write, and I nodded. "Two portions of Ragú with Creamy Polenta, Gnocchi Cacio e Pepe, Veal Osso Buco, and a bottle of… hm, either Bibi Graetz Testamatta 2018, or Livio Sassetti Brunello di Montalcino Pertimali 2015," I turned to Aaron. "Which one, darling?"

"Both are good but Livio Sassetti, tastes better," it does, indeed.

I turned to Giovanni again, "That one then."

He turned to Aaron, "You will want the same as Mrs. Rossetti, right?" His Italian really is perfect.

"Yes."

Then the kid turned to Graham, "What about you? You've been waiting for ages. Are you ready to order, Mr. Graham?" Oh, his voices sounds a lot different in English.

"You haven't eat yet?" We asked together, since we both thought he had eaten his lunch while we were on the car. Why did he wait for us?

"Nope. And yes, I'm ready. I'll want the exact same as what sister-in-law ordered. I'll trust her taste this time, since, as A said, she's familiar with Italian food." I don't know what to think about that.

He nodded, "Great. We'll bring your food in a short while. For now we'll bring you some water." Then his gentle eyes fell on me, "Yours will be with or without ice, Mrs. Rossetti?"

"With ice, please." Nodding, he left, and when I turned to them, they were both staring at me, although Aaron had a more weird gaze. "What is it?"

"Did you just flirt back?" Is Aaron dumb or what?

"With Giovanni?" I mocked. "Darling, you don't seem to be seeing things for how they are. The kid doesn't like what I can offer. If one thing, he would be more into you two than me."

And they seemed genuinely shocked. "What?"

I rolled my eyes, "Come on, you have a gay brother like me. You should be more quick to catch on theses things. That kid, Giovanni, is totally gay. Even the way he talks and carry himself scream that. Not to mention the way he looked at you," with my eyebrows up, I glared at Aaron. "I'm the one who should be jealous of you, not the other way around, dumbass."

"You think he's gay?" Graham seemed shocked. "For real? How can you tell?"

"How can't you? It's obvious, the kid wasn't even trying to hide. He probably has a crush on one of you too. I wouldn't be surprised."

"Are you for real?"

I glared Aaron, "Yes. So, no. I was not flirting with the kid, darling. Neither was he flirting with me. He was probably asking those questions to evaluate me. Who knows?"

"Your Italian is amazing by the way, sister-in-law. I didn't really understand what you were saying, but it sounded amazing," oh, so he doesn't speak Italian. That must be why Giovanni spoke in English with him.

"Of course, it is. Didn't your brother told you I'm half Italian? That's why I'm good at it."

"I did tell him!" Aaron squeezed my waist.

"He did. But I didn't think you would be this fluent at it. Sounded fancy."

"Ha, I wouldn't use that word for Italian, more like to French, but I get it. Why did you wait for us, Graham?" I asked, petting Aaron's hand. "You didn't need to."

"I thought it would be better. Besides, it was good to know more of your taste in food," he side-eyed his brother and brought his gaze back to me. "I see that you avoided the sea food in the menu. So, you are aware of A's allergy, right?"

"Of course, I am. We've been dating for months. What kind of girlfriend would I be if I didn't know what type of food could kill him?"

He gasped but seemed satisfied and even amused by my words, "Well, it happened before."

I frowned, "What do you mean?"

"Nicole forgot his allergy more than once and he had to go to the hospital. I guess he didn't tell you. But it wasn't a pleasant experience, so I wouldn't either."

Suddenly flooded by annoyance, I clenched my jaw, "By Nicole, you mean Aaron's ex?" He nodded and I inhaled deeply. "Seems like there's more than a reason why she became his ex, and didn't stayed with him."
