Chapter 18 - Chapter XVIII ۞ Aaron ۞ Part III

AARON: I TRAIN IN THE GYM FOR FOUR HOURS everyday too. But at 5 pm. It helps me keep my mind on track. I also do boxing, but not in the gym. I have the equipment in the roof, so I do it here.

Sweetheart: Cool.

Sweetheart: Did your chaotic siblings come yesterday?

Aaron: Yes. How do you know?

Sweetheart: The noise. I could tell there were five people walking up there. Did they come because of us?

Sounds more real when she says it like that.

Aaron: Mm-hm. Mom spread to the entire family already, so they came here to show how annoyed they were that I didn't tell them before. They asked a lot about you. Thankfully I was prepared.

Aaron: *unbothered gif*

Sweetheart: Anything I should know?

Aaron: I may have told them that you are the jealous and possessive type. But in a healthy amount.

Sweetheart: I am!

I don't know why, but that made me grin. It means I was right to think that yesterday.

Sweetheart: Why did you said that, though?

Aaron: They asked.

Aaron: Now they are looking forward to meet you and your family. The boys actually got excited by the fact that your family is so huge, and they will be joining us.

Sweetheart: Seems like they and my family are in the same page now. Yesterday my siblings all called me together by video, and asked me about you and complained about me not telling them and all that shit.

Aaron: And?

Sweetheart: I didn't say much. My parents and Alessandro had already said a lot by themselves.

Aaron: Were the youngest two in the call too?

Sweetheart: *sighing gif*

Sweetheart: No. But that's fine. I wasn't expecting them to call me either.

Sweetheart: As long as you don't have any expectations regarding some people, there's no way for them to disappoint you.

She has a good point. Although I don't feel comfortable about those two siblings of hers. And I already know that I won't be able to have a good temporary bond with them. They are already getting on my last nerves by being so stupid and unreasonable with her.

Aaron: I'll pick you up in one hour. We'll go out and have lunch together. Let's deal with the pictures problem already.

Sweetheart: Did your brothers also asked for it?

Aaron: Yeah. Did yours?

Sweetheart: Mm-hm.

Aaron: Then dress up finely. And be mindful with your look. Use high heels too if you don't want to look so short.

Aaron: Although I wouldn't mind the last part.

Aaron: *smirking gif*

Sweetheart: Vai pro inferno, Aaron.

Aaron: If I go, I'll take you with me.

Sweetheart: As if.

After I blocked my phone, I focused on eating my breakfast. Using the bread I made three days ago in seven cheese sandwiches with a big cup of strawberry and banana shake.

…I eat a lot.

❁ ❁ ❁

I was waiting on my couch, already on my fancy black suit and with my hair back, except for two streaks falling charmingly on my forehead, and hoping she wouldn't throw any drink at this one like she did when we met. So, when an hour went by, I took the elevator for her floor and when I rang the bell, she opened while wrapped in a towel.

A House Targaryen-themed towel at that. "Black suit? Aren't you scared that I'll destroy this one?" She asked grinning.

I glared down at her, "Aren't you ready?"

"Do I look ready?" Her sarcasm made me scoff. "Come in, idiota." As I did, she locked the door behind me. "I was waiting for you to come here. Go. Pick my look. The ones I thought off won't satisfy your fancy fashion taste."

"Are you mocking me?"

She grinned, "Are you surprised?"

Rolling my eyes, I turned to her, "Guide the way. I'm indeed better than you at understanding fashion. And what's with the themed towel?"

"I live alone. I like it. Have a problem with it?"

"It's just peculiar," then I followed her and she guided me to her bedroom. "Why the big bed if you are so short? It must fit twenty of you in there."

"I'm spacious," she rolled her shoulders. "And when I take a guy home, they are usually big and tall." And she said I wasn't her type at all, hm. Was she lying like I was? "The bed suits them and me," wow.

I gasped, "Quite straightforward."

"You didn't expected me to be a virgin, did you?" She seemed almost offended. "Because that would be quite stupid. And you don't tend to be stupid, Vaughn-Solomon."

Is that a compliment or an offense? "No. I did not expected that. You definitely don't look like a virgin, and you are 27. Besides, you had a boyfriend. Shit happen."

"Then why the gasp?"

"I didn't expected you to actually say that."

"Hm," then she finally stopped on a big walk-in closet. "Do your magic. Chose what will fit me."

I frowned as I looked at all the ridiculous amount of hoodies, baggy shirt, gym clothes, and pajamas she has. "The only clothes suitable for outdoor are club dresses," and very short ones. It's better if I don't imagine her on them, or my mind might go crazy. "There are very few businesses clothes too. Didn't you said you had an office? What do you use when you go there? Pajamas?" I mocked.

She rolled her eyes, with both of her hands on her hips, "I had a bunch of sociable clothes but I donated them when I moved here. And my secretary is the one who uses my office, I actually work more from here. I only deal with major problems and major deals that my managers can't do it alone."

"And what do you use when you need to go out?" I asked confused.

"Gym clothes, or a hoodie with some pants."

"Jesus," my gaze went down to her again. "I was right. You need a wardrobe makeover urgently. Just dress some gym leggings and a hoodie, I'll buy everything."

She blinked, "You will buy it?"

A nod, "Of course. I'm buying it all for you to take with you. And you can take it as a token of your effort too. Don't feel humble about it."
