One week ago…
“Fucking bastards!” I heard the guy yell as he fled from the washroom, leaving us all behind as he uttered a stream of curses under his breath.
I looked back at Night, who I had helped get off the floor in the meantime as Kai beat the other man to a pulp.
Of course I recognized that prick. There was no way I would forget that face easily. He was Night’s ex from high school that all of us had warned him against but Night hadn't listened…until it had been too late.
But I realized that now wasn’t the time to remind Night of exactly what kind of a fuck up he was because he seemed to be in enough trouble already as he wiped away blood from the corner of his lips.
“You okay?” I asked him quietly, trying not to get anyone else’s attention because the level of testosterone in here seemed pretty high already.
