His hands held hers and removed them from his chest gently, his gaze still holding hers. Unfortunately, he couldn't read her mind to know what she was thinking.
"What's your name?" He asked the question for the third time, his voice a little gentle. He did not want to scare the woman before him since she was already nervous for some reason.
"Lana." She answered.
"Listen, Lana. There have been attacks on the kingdom lately and I suspected that you had something to do with it since you and the people you met yesterday were acting so shady." Carlos explained.
"That's because we were hiding." She replied.
"And those people that were with me, two of them are my brothers and the other my friend." she added.
"What or whom were you hiding from?" Carlos interrogated further, curious to know more. The woman looked left and right as if making sure that no one was listening before turning back to face the man before her.
