I was asleep when I felt my feet being pulled from my bed. Before I could fully open my eyes, my body was strapped onto a wooden surface. It was too dark to see what was happening but I was smart enough to register the kidnapping.
" Help! Help me! " I screamed on top of my lungs hoping someone—anyone would help me.
" We should shut her up. She's getting on my nerves. " A voice I did not recognize said.
" No, she has to be conscious, " another voice replied.
Where was the guard outside my door? And all the other vampires in the castle? Surely they must have heard me screaming with their heightened senses.
'Now would be a great time for Miriam to show up. '
" Kai! Help me! " I screamed but all I did was hurt my throat. It was clear they were never going to let me go.
I looked around to see where they were taking me but it was still too dark in the castle. They must have grabbed me a little past midnight.
