I rushed out of the secret room so that I could go to my room hoping to find Miriam. However, Kai was at the top of the stairs leaning on the doorframe.
" Where do you think you're going? " He asked and I huffed and crossed my arms against my chest.
" To my room, " I answered begrudgingly and he chuckled as if my words were some sort of amusement to him.
" Go back down there and wait until I tell you that you can come out, " Kai stated with a smirk on his face.
" Or what? " I asked and narrowed my eyes on him.
He got off the door frame and inched towards me like a predator. In one swift movement, he hoisted me into his arms and carried me down the stairs back to the room.
He set me on the couch and glared down at me.
" Stay there until I come for you, " he said, his expression changing and him offering me a deadly look.
