It was only after a few new world days had passed that he finally woke up, feeling refreshed and even more hungry than before. He was shocked at how much more powerful he felt, even more so after looking at his stats. He knew that the adjusting of his body wouldn't have increase his strength at all, so he was very confused
It was only after looking inside of him did he find the culprit.
"I don't know why I am already at the end of the blue cycle, but I am surely not going to complain."
Still sitting in the pool of mana, since he found it comfortable, he was munching on some cooked chima meat and trying to figure out what his next move was going to be.
"Thankfully the heavy feeling went away, I don't know if I could move properly if it remained."
His initial plans was to return to the new world and progress through the blue cycle while picking the rest of the flowers to kill two birds with one stone, but now that his talent took over and completed the initial cycle for him he had to reevaluate.
"Either way I am still going to pick the flowers, so let's just start with that."
He got out of the pool and glanced at the two eggs. Both were now pulsating with a blue glow. The dragon egg was a deep purple, with golden colored runes all over it. These runes were on it before but were the same color as the rest of the shell, it was just that now under the unknown influence of the Golden body refining technique they changed color.
When he woke up, there were no longer any of the golden beams so he just assumed that this is what they were supposed to look like and thought nothing else of it. It would only be until much, much later that he would realize what was going on.
The bird egg also had these golden runes, but instead of turning more red like he had thought, it was slowly losing color. There were patches of ash gray all over it and while he thought that something might be wrong with it, the pure vitality and life force radiating from the patchy egg was even more so than the dragon egg so he assumed that it was supposed to lose its color like that.
He looked away from the two gigantic eggs and towards the giant peak in the distance. He could leave his soul sea from anywhere, but liked to do so from the center of the platform. If something ever changed in his soul sea and the contents of the continent wasn't the same as before he wanted to arrive in a place that he was confident wasn't going to. Wherever he left was where he was going to reappear.
He was going to teleport to the platform like he always did, but quickly decided against that. Instead he was going to try out his new found power.
He stretched a bit to loosen up his body, as he had been asleep for many days, and bent his knees slightly. If he was going to miss his jump then he could just teleport away before he hit the ground anyway.
Increasing the flow of mana in his legs, he used all of his strength, speed and agility and rocketed off into the distance.
He was going so fast that he cleared the several kilometer distance in a few seconds and flew past the peak with no signs of slowing down.
He was understandably shocked by how far he could jump, the artificial gravity in his soul sea was somewhere between the old world and the new world, meaning that he could move even faster on earth.
He knew that there was a qualitative jump between 99 and 100, and that it wasn't just a difference of one, but he clearly underestimated just how big of a difference it was, much less between 100 and 250.
While it was 10 times more difficult to increase a stat after 100, the difference between the two and the increase from one to another was just as large. 200 to 250 would be the same as going from 2000 to 2500 if the numbers were normalized.
If his strength increased slowly, then an increase of 500 wouldn't be noticeable, but it happened all at once. The increase was even more drastic because he didn't start from 200, but 120. Going from 1200 to 2500 was more than a double in power, all while he was sleeping.
He had long past the island and showed little to no signs of stopping so he teleported to the platform, but failed to account for the speed that he was traveling at.
The sudden impact with the floor certainly wasn't a pleasant one, but while in immense pain he noticed that a portion of mana was absorbed by his bones before the missing amount was reabsorbed.
The strength of his impact with the platform was nowhere enough to break it, so he slowly got up from the ground. He tried to activate the regeneration spell. But besides easing the pain a little, it had no effect on his body, not that he was injured in the first place.
While getting more powerful is always a good thing, it also meant that the spells one would previously use would have diminishing effects. Just like body strengthening, the regeneration spell was doing little to his more powerful body and if he wanted to continue to be able to heal injuries at will he would need to find a more effective long term solution.
He picked up the two books from the giant skeletons which he had on an elevated platform and tried reading through them again. Another bonus of the Jin clan's book was that he was slowly getting used to the common language that everything from the new world seemed to be written in.
While progress was slow as the book still did most of the heavy lifting when it came to comprehension, it wouldn't take long for him to fully understand what the other two books had.
He could pick up a few things here and there with his basic understanding, but not enough to piece together a technique, spell or method that he could take advantage of.
The only thing he was certain of was that the red book from the bird had to do with one's heart as well as fire, and the one from the dragon was related to lightning and another word he wasn't familiar with.
He put down the two books and walked over to the black orb in the center and teleported back to the giant cavern.
While he could have used mana sense to determine if was teleporting to a safe place, the thought didn't even cross his mind as just assume that it would be near impossible for something or someone to find this one, uninteresting looking cave in a random spot in a giant forest and walk all the way to the back which was so far in that the sunlight wasn't reaching it to finally notice the teenager sized hole he dug out for himself while they wouldn't be able to see.
Naturally he appeared in the same position as when he left but what he saw left him too stunned to move.
All around the mountain were these strange looking men, all of them were short, skinny, had deep green skin, had little to no clothes, and while not particularly ugly, they were hideous compared to the hobgoblins.
From what he could see they were picking the mana flowers that he had yet to collect, which was about half of the total, and moving them out of the cave from a widened entrance through the boulder.
His sudden appearance led to some confusion and disarray from the green men and they started to yell things at him, clearly angry, that he didn't understand.
"Goblins? What the hell is…" Before he could finish his thought he quickly raised his arm to defend himself and was sent flying by a kick meant for his head.
