Chapter 12 - It's You

"You, don't you recognize me?"

At this moment, Gwyn was still suppressing the fear in his heart, but his trembling hands had betrayed him.

Mary lowered her eyes, shook her head gently, and pulled her hand back.

"David, did she really lose her memory? Hurry up and come over. No, call Gerri. He's from the neurology department. Call him over." Gwyn was already incoherent.

David frowned. Mary had indeed suffered a great shock, and it was possible that she had temporary amnesia.

He looked at Mary's trembling body and wondered why she appeared so strange.

"Let me take a look first. Do you remember who you are?" David asked as he approached.

Mary only shook her head gently and still did not look up at David.

From an outsider's point of view, they could tell that she was trying to suppress her laughter, and there was a hint of slyness in her eyes.

Normally, Gwyn would be able to tell that something was wrong with Mary, but at this moment, Gwyn only felt that Mary must have been frightened.

However, David knew that if he were to expose Mary now, she wouldn't be able to hold back her laughter.

"It looks like there's no hope this time." David sighed.

"What did you say? How is that possible?" Gwyn stepped forward and grabbed David's collar. David felt like he was about to suffocate.

"Gwyn, stop!" Seeing that Gwyn was really angry, Mary quickly stood up and grabbed his hand.

However, Mary did not expect the wound on her back to still be so painful. She couldn't help but inhale sharply, tears streaming down her face. Being bedridden for a long time also made her feel like her body was a bit out of control.

"Mary, Mary, how are you feeling?"

"Are you hurt? Does your wound hurt?"

Gwyn's attention was completely focused on Mary, and she had completely forgotten about how she was behaving abnormally just now.

"If I could have some strawberry ice cream now, I wouldn't be in pain anymore." Mary raised her head in his arms and winked playfully.

"Alright, I'll buy it for you in a while. Do you remember who I am?" Gwyn asked, realizing that something was off. She furrowed her brow and looked at Mary.

"Even if I were to forget myself. I won't forget you, Gwyn." Mary buried her head in their chests and hugged him tightly.

She was relieved that she had escaped death.

However, at this moment, Bob was in the dungeon of the villa, living a life worse than death. He had lost count of how many times he had fainted from the pain and been jolted awake by a bucket of cold water.

"So, you still won't say anything?"

Bob clenched his teeth. As soon as he woke up and saw Will, he knew he wasn't going to die.

Despite being in Gwyn's hands, as long as Mary cared about him, he was safe. He might even end up in a big fight with Gwyn over this.

As long as he did not fall into the hands of that person, he would still have a chance to live.

Seeing that Bob didn't speak, Will narrowed his eyes.

"Why don't you let me do it?" A cold voice sounded.

Bob's eyes were so swollen that he could not open them. He did not recognize the man in front of him.

Ford was standing on the stairs, looking down at Bob. The coldness in his eyes scared the people around him.

Ford's murderous aura was very strong, especially when he saw Bob.

Will had already investigated Ford and Dole, and he was especially sympathetic to Ford's experience.

Will thought that if his sister had been gang-raped by Bob, he might not have been able to endure the humiliation for so long.

"Alright, I'll leave him to you. Just don't kill him. Our boss wants him to stay alive. Besides that, you can do whatever you want with him." Will brought his men out. He thought that perhaps it would be good to let Ford vent.

Bob panicked. "Who are you? I have money. I can give you a lot of money as long as you let me go. No matter how much Gwyn gives you, I'll pay three times, no, five times, as long as you…"

Ford slapped Bob across the face. Bob felt like he was seeing stars and couldn't speak for a moment.

Ford pinched his chin and asked in a mischievous manner, "How much can you give me?"

Bob felt a bit dizzy, but when he heard Ford's words, he saw a glimmer of hope. "Just give me a number and I'll give it to you. It's just the two of us here now. Please, just let me go."

"But why should I let you go?"

Then, Bob was slapped again.

At this moment, Bob also felt that something was amiss. He raised his head to look at the man in front of him. His facial features were indeed familiar.

His eyes suddenly widened.

"It's you!"
