Heh, I got reminded of that guy back in the clan grounds. He is angry all the time and looks like smithing is the only thing that can calm him. I think showing him a higher-level weapon would be a blessing since seeing something like that up close might make him have some sort of awakening.
Now, what should I craft? I have only seen a sword and a shield up close. Those were the most common ones so a lot of people were looking at them. I was looking at a different one that wasn't so popular that might attract the wrong type of attention.
After 1 second I decided and started working. While I was absorbed in my work the elves started heating the atmosphere even more. It got so bad that some even started charging speeds.
At that moment the elf with ES above 400 stretched his hand and lifted the people who were preparing to attack. Their spells were instantly canceled and the air started exiting their lungs.
This looked to be the move the vampires needed to start the battle. In less than 1 second waves of attacks rained upon the elven squad. Fire, water, a combination of both, iron, and earth spikes raised from the ground and started attacking the elven troops.
The elf who stared provoking the vampires before made a wide smile before blasting a huge sonic wave toward the vampires. Only some were able to defend themselves, the most unfortunate instantly died.
From the people before were now left no more than 6.
-It seems this is the start of a war.
A pale-skinned female spoke, she had long, black hair and wore a pair of round glasses, eyes of an unusual purple color, and a long scar that severed her face in 2.
Some were too disturbed by her scar to notice that, if one looked close enough they could see that what is now a scarred face was a flawless face before.
She looked at the elf and her eyes turned sharp, the whole atmosphere changed in a matter of seconds.
...
'Whistle', her ES rose by 200, now sitting at a scary 400 ES. Who would've thought that we had such a powerhouse in our team? I gave them some distance and started studying her moves. A pair of glasses instantly appeared on my face. Even tho the lens was transparent the way my eyes were projected made my line of sight extremely wide and clear.
...
The way she moved mimicked a spider. To be precise her main fighting style contained extremely nimble and flexible attack patterns. Unfortunately for the elf, her flexibility was beyond inhuman, it was coming into the territory of unnatural. I doubt even a squid would be able to make such turns and twists with their body.
Her main weapon was her nails, which were elongated and sharpened to the point that trees started falling each time she swung her hand. The other elves were preoccupied with the others who, after seeing her fight were motivated enough to also rush into battle.
I was also fighting and my enemies were relatively similar to the strength I showed, of 150 ES. My fighting style contained a balanced approach of sword and bow technique.

After 2 hours of fighting the woman were bloodied all over and were visibly weakening as time was passing by. Seeing this the elf intensified his attack to the point that he began neglecting defense altogether.
If this situation went like this then all the vampires will be slaughtered. I had to show my cards now and then run as fast as possible. There is no way that there are no other troops outside.
I looked over and notice that the elf almost landed his blade on her neck, ready to behead her. I immediately pulled the recently created sword and used all my power to slash his hand.
...
An arm landed on the ground and a scream could be heard. The elven captain plopped on the ground with blood gnashing from his neck. The other soldiers didn't even have time to look as a shadow appeared in each one's face and decapitated them.
Falling on her butt the woman was heavily breathing and trying to patch her wounds. While she was using energy to heal, her eyes looked up to see a man holding a bloody longsword in one hand and munching on the elven heads with another.
This sight made her shudder as she focused on healing and tried to think of what to do next.
The man in question was, instead having a feast.
Man, these blonde brains are pretty nutritive. I read in a scroll that vampires used to eat elven brains to increase their meditation speed. Now that I tasted these, I don't blame them.
Now that a war is starting maybe I can get enough bodies so that I can get even stronger than before. Or maybe find a city...

The survivors were few and the dead many, such incidents rarely happened since the peace treaty was signed. Of course, such news greatly upset the superiors which caused some noise above.
I talked with the woman and managed to convince her to falsify the story a bit to not blow my cover. Them knowing my current power level would warrant me a seat in the front of the army when we officially go to war.
I don't want to be surveilled yet and have to be very incognito everywhere I go.
A big part of my becoming strong was played by the women that were frequenting the district. I created a technique from some scraps that I found in the library, which helps me steal some of other people's lifespans.
I began using an evil technique that uses lifespan to boost meditation. It's considered evil since it causes extreme pain to the person who uses it. A pain so great that, after 5 uses it begins to persist even after one stops using the technique.
