A mischievous sparkle danced in Shinon's eyes as he slowly retrieved the device from his shadow domain. He held it up, displaying it to Alex with a sly grin.
"Looking for this, are we? Well, let's just say I thought the constant buzzing noise was a pain in the butt, so I disabled it."
Shock washed over Alex's features, his arrogance fading as he realised Shinon had outmanoeuvred him. The device, meant to be his trump card, had been taken right from under his nose.
With a casual flick of his hand, Shinon tossed the device back into the depths of his shadow domain.
"I stumbled upon this little contraption while moving through the shadows," Shinon explained with a hint of amusement. "It was becoming quite the nuisance, so I thought I'd give it a proper hiding place."
Alex's rage boiled within him, his plan crumbling before his eyes. The frustration etched across his face as he realised his carefully laid trap had been evaded.
