They walked towards the hallway by the right.
"So much hallways"
Manandra thought. Every where was filled with blackness, so basically it was very dark. They stepped on the ice cold marble floor, and only a candle-lit chandelier above the stairs lit up the place.
Every where was so dark and so ancient. This building style doesn't even exist any more. Manandra only saw this in vampire movies, or movies that was meant for olden day British This would be the house of the royal family or the elite vampire in the olden days. But she had never seen or encountered one in real life. So many questions flooded her mind.
"Master" she called.
"Yes"
Damon answered her. While they where still holding hands. She didn't even know where to begin with all her questions because she had so many to ask like, why is he holding her hand, is he supposed too and so on...
"You can talk " Damon said in a casual tone.
"Master why are you holding my hand?" Manandra said as they climbed the grand stairs. Its not like Manandra was complaining, but it felt so weird and awkward.
"So that you don't wonder away.."
Damon replied, and Manandra thought that it was odd he didn't say escape.
"Is this the way this place was before you guys, I dunno left???".
"Yes. That was how it was." He said.
"And we didn't leave" He added.
Manandra didn't understand what he meant by that, but she had another question in mind.
"Why is every where so dark?"
She asked, as they turned to the left and approached an elegant area after going through so many floors.
"Its because of the vampires here."
Ohhhhhhhh, so its true. All the things that she watched in the movies where actually true. Vampires are allergic to the sun. Maybe he too is a vampire. That's why its so dark, because he seems not to object. So if he makes her angry, she'll just push him under the sun, she thought. But just to be sure that his a vampire she wanted to ask, as they approached a door.
P.S Damon's room.
Damon then said;
"Such a curious little kid"
"What??" She was shocked. Did he really think that she was a kid. But that was not what was her problem right now. She had a lot of questions to ask.....
