That night Brittany was having a hard time falling asleep after hearing what Stella doctor say. She start getting anxiety and panic attack because of her condition after her accident and finding out that Stella has complication also made her mental health become worst. That was how the start of her denied of depression and mental health. That weekend Shen came over to see Stella and Brittany and also help take care of them while her brother and sister in law was going out of town for their anniversary.
That day when Shen came over Brittany was laying in bed since her physical therapy hasn't been schedule yet. Stella was sleeping next to Brittany on the bed and started barking when she heard Shen car outside the house. Shen was giving the house pin number to come into the house anytime to take care an see Brittany. Shen took Stella outside to use the bathroom and when he came back inside she can hear Brittany crying in the room. Shen then rush into the room to ask Brittany what is wrong and why is she crying. Brittany was massaging her head and telling Shen her head hurts she doesn't know why but it's hurting soo much.
Shen went to her bed side where her medication was looked to give her pain killers to help with her head. All of a sudden she start to feel like she can't breathe and was gasping for air and at the same time pointed for her inhaler. Shen notice what she was doing and help her with the inhaler and after she inhale the inhaler she fainted. Shen saw that she fainted and caught her before she fell off the bed since she was near the edge of the bed when Shen came into her room.
A couple of second later Brittany woke up and saw that Shen was holding onto her and she look confuse to why he is holding onto her and how did she get to the edge of the bed. Shen just let her stare at him for a while before he ask how she is feeling. Brittany gave Shen a confuse look then ask what happen, why is he holding her and how did she get to the edge of the bed. Shen look at Brittany for a while then ask what was the last thing she remember. Brittany thought for a while before answer his question.
You took Stella outside to use the bathroom, she then ask when did you back come inside? He then told her about what happen and that she fainted after he then ask if her head was still hurting and how is she feeling now. Brittany still look a bit confuse about everything but at the end she stop question Shen and just told him she is tired so he help her back in bed. Over the next couple of days what happen to her didn't happen again so they both didn't think about anymore instead Shen just told the family about what happen and to watch her in case it happen again.
Brittany has been so occupy about her doctors appointment and recovery that she forgot that it was her birthday month. A couple of days before her birthday her best friend Ling Ling call her asking for her brother address and talk to her about how she been doing. If she never receive the phone call she would of forgot that she is turning 30 in just a couple of days. She was a bit sad because she won't be able to do anything for her birthday and have to end up staying in bed to recover.
Brittany didn't expect much for her 30th birthday so she also didn't expect Shen to remember it also since he is so busy accompany her on his days off and working very hard. Two days after Ling Ling call Brittany got a pot of flower that arrive at Yone house. At first Brittany thought it was Shen but after she open the envelope and read the message she realize it was from Ling Ling. Grabbing her phone she message Ling Ling that she receive the flower, thank her and told her she love it and it's pretty.
The day of Brittany birthday Shen call her telling her that he is coming over after work, unknown to Brittany he contact her brother and sister in law for a surprise birthday. That night after Yone and his wife came home they told Brittany happy birthday and decided to make pho for Brittany to eat since it was one of her favorite's dish to eat. That night Shen came over with a birthday cake from cold stone to celebrate her birthday. Brittany thought that he forgot her birthday and was sad but became happy after she saw the cake.
They sing happy birthday to Brittany and when Brittany though everything was over Shen brought Stella over to Brittany and hand Stella over to Brittany to hold. When Brittany grab Stella he kneel on one side of his leg and told Brittany. Happy birthday Brittany and I know it's been a tough ride that we are going through but if you are willing to, can I be the man who walk side by side with you for life. I promise to take care of you for as long as I am alive and never make you feel sad again. Brittany will you marry me. Shen brought out a ring and waited for Brittany to answer him.
As Brittany was in shock and started crying for all the things he say she turn to him and nodded her head. Everything who was presented yell for joy and say congratulation them for getting engage. Brittany didn't know what to say anymore beside crying because she was so happy. Brittany then video call her other two sister to show them the ring and they were so happy but also mad because they didn't get to join in for the surprise.
