Just...trust me.
My eyes flew opened as my dream came to an end.
I looked at Quill who was sleeping next to me, his crazy curls splayed on his pillow. Now that I could properly see him, I could see the dark circles under his eyes, stress lines marring his face. His skin had darkened, having spent so much time under the sun, his full lips parted as he slept soundly.
I couldn't help myself as I traced his features gently, his eyes moving under his eyelids. I wondered what he dreamt about.
Eventually, he took note that I was touching him, as his eyes slowly opened.
I could feel my face heat up as I saw the desire roaring in his jade green eyes. Apparently, his appetite for me wasn't satiated.
He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me on top of him. At that movement, my limbs began to ache, and I realized that though he could go another round or more, I had my limits.
