I was dressed and laying in bed, still having about two hours before I had to go down to the dining room and have dinner with those two.
And Quill. He should be here any minute, and just the thought of him sent my heart galloping. Out of love and something else.
I thought about what I was to say to him. Especially when he questioned Andras, and Ainhoa's presence. There were too many coincidences, and I didn't know what I could tell him this time. What lie I would spin to keep Quill at bay, and keep me somewhat sane.
My head pounded, and soon other aches made themselves known. It reminded me that I had been thrown against a tree, the bark bruising my entire back, and a bit of the back of my legs. I had no idea how I was even going to try to explain that one to Quill.
The door opened then, and I sat up carefully as my Quill stepped in.
