Death stares back at where she walks, a soft look on his face. I feel like I'm intruding on something, though I'm only still here because Death wants me to be here.
"Will you get in trouble with this?" I ask him, and Death taps his chin as he thinks about it.
"Yes because I'm messing with fate, but they'll get over it." Death shrugs, looking casual as he leans against the desk. "Plus, what I'm doing is nothing compared to what Life did. But I don't gossip, so don't ask."
