We're scooped up into the carriage, as it leads us to the route of New Puerto. Quill sits next to me, and the carriage behind us holds Cersei, and Lip.
I try to be upbeat, but knowing that the pack will be gone for a mission for the king, and it being for a month fills me with despair.
Quill must have noticed my mood, because he pulls me on to his lap, and he hugs me close.
"I'm not going to leave right away love. And I'll try to spend every moment with you." he said, hugging me, and kissing the top of my head.
"Why does the king need you specifically though?" I asked, as I looked up to him.
Having asked that question, Quill grimaced, as if uncomfortable with answering it.
"I'm his chosen knight. Since I've worked hard to get here, and won the tournament, I'm to report to him whenever there's an emergency happening. Word has it, that there's a dragon that must be slayed just in the north of his territory." Quill replied.
