Someone seemed to be in the middle of the lake as the screams were coming from the centre.
Afraid to disturb, Ceris walked forward on her toes. Inside the lake was a boy, maybe in his teens holding two vines, bare on the top and even his black-blue veins, bloody scratches on his skinny back were visible through naked eyes. Ceris couldn't see his face as she was facing his back.
The agony was still present in his scream but his voice had turned hoarse and weaker by time. Still the scream had shaken Ceris's heart, making her nervous for unknown reason.
As the animals were surrounding, from a distance Ceris rounded the pond, reached another side to face the boy. At first, not being able to figure out clearly, walked closer to a safe space. And she saw the face; a boy no more than fifteen years old came into her view.
'Oh my god! What an enchanting face! If he were back in Phoset, probably would be a star!' Ceris was invisibly drooling from the eye-catching handsomeness.
From a distance, Ceris was observing and noticed that the boy who was holding the vines tightly before had begun to loosen and slowly sink in the pond; maybe due to exhaustion. An unknown force or bond seemed to be pulling her towards the boy.
Walking on her toes, Ceris was about to reach the edge, stepped on a dry branch and a sound of crack made a disturbance.
The boy suddenly opened his eyes with blood like red tears stains that could suck any soul in the world. The eye turned to be golden and felt as if it was the most beautiful pair of eyes in the entire world. Ceris was no exception and was enchanted only by directly looking in his eyes in the full moon light. She could read pain, loneliness, sorrow and many more negative/sad emotions in his eyes. As she was looking continuously, the boy was sinking further. Until the eyes could be seen no more, Ceris was standing like a statue.
As the eye was out of sight the next second, Ceris found herself jumping in the lake, pulling the boy on the surface and tightly hugging him. Afraid that they would drown, she brought the boy out of the lake and hit on the back of his head and made unconscious. She was still hugging the boy tightly when she was out of trance.
A frown appeared on her forehead. Ceris felt that since arriving in this fantasy land she had no control of her body and soul, would be in trance and do something unexpected the next second. Pain, suffering was still okay but was afraid she would do something unethical or go against her concise. Who knows there won't be someone who wants to take advantage of her short coming?? It was no good to her.
'Sigh!! What am I doing? Why don't I remember anything after I saw his golden eyes? If Eri was here she would have mocked me for my silliness…' Despite having trouble for her action, Ceris resigned to fate.
She didn't know why she saved the boy; a mere stranger, what was she expected to do or why did she feel as if some force was pushing her towards the boy. She didn't deny that she was worried about him before but that didn't mean…
After being wet, Ceris shuddered from the cold. As the boy was soaking more time, who knows from when, she decided to ignite a fire. The animals distanced themselves from the pair.
Finding a few dry branches, a fire kept the place and the two warm. The teenage boy was grunting even in his unconsciousness.
Moving closer to the boy, Ceris observed the boy from close. This boy was much more beautiful than the one she had rescued before. Unknowingly, her finger reached to stroke the outline of his face gently and with enough patience. She felt the boy looked familiar as if she had seen him somewhere or resembled someone deep in her memory but couldn't remember.
"Achoo...achoo" Sneezing, Ceris noticed her action. Taking her hand back, she felt awkward, guilty as if she was molesting the teen.
'Hehe...I am not a pervert..,am I?...hehe.'
The grunt which was barely audible before was increasing along with the boy grinding his teeth, his veins turning black. Once again, Ceris felt the panic from his reaction. Holding his wrist Ceris checked his condition; finding to be well.
Worried about the situation, Ceris' eyes turned red and then tears began to accumulate in her eyes. A drop of tear fell on the boy. As the tear touched, the boy's body began to tremble and covered in furs from his tails to all over the body and slowly transformed. Within a short space of time, the boy completely transformed into a pure white wolf.
Opening the golden eye, the wolf howled facing the full moon. Due to fear, Ceris stepped backwards until she hit a tree.
Despite the pain, Ceris didn't make a sound.
As the wolf finished howling, baring its teeth, it looked around and marched towards Ceris. Afraid of the unknown, Ceris doged towards the left but the wolf continued to lounge towards Ceris. Perplexed, she tripped on a stone and fell down. Her ankle got hurt.
