"what?!"
"You're kidding, right?"
"How did we attract a hoard?"
The cadets started murmuring. This was a disaster; hoards did not discriminate. If they were to breach the city dome, everyone would become food: the rich, the poor, the young and old. It didn't matter to these brainless monsters.
It was normal for them to be scared.
"settle down!!" Juwade sounded angry.
"There are people out there risking their lives for you sons of b*tches; do you think that they don't want to be back home saving their families? Do you think that they are out there to have fun? They went out there to do their duty and protect you. Put your trust in them, or else you can leave my faction and my army!!" Juwade scream with anger and annoyance.
He was visibly angry at the cowardice of some of the cadets.
"Get them out of my sight," Juwade bellowed.
And not long after, the officers escorted Wilder and the rest out of the gymnasium, leaving only Juwade , who looked on with a frown.
"Annoying," he muttered while turning his face to the side and looking at the door meaningfully.
Outside the gymnasium, the officers escorted Wilder and the rest to shelter. Though they were in the most secure part of the Warhawk Academy, they still needed to find cover.
The whole city was being bombarded with sirens and warnings; it was absolute chaos. But because they were in the academy, things were very different, though that wouldn't change the outcome if the blood-maned lions broke through their lines.
It would be an absolute disaster.
"Hey, they are live streaming the battle," one of the cadets said in a loud voice.
He had his communication device in his hand.
It was already getting dark at this point, but they all pulled out their com devices and started viewing the whole thing.

Outside of Demon Whale City
Several lazer cannons and other military equipment could be seen placed strategically all over the place, and beside them were several men in army uniforms manning those pieces of equipment.
These were the men of the Demon whale army, the defensive force of the Demon whale city.
"Captain, they are approaching," one of the men with goggles on informed a high-ranking officer who was standing beside a lazer cannon.
The atmosphere was very tense as this was the most important part of this engagement, the first clash. If they got the upper hand in this exchange, then their chances of winning the battle would only go up by several notches.
Soon a small cloud of dust appeared in the distance as snarling monsters made their way forward towards them
"ready…." The high-ranking officer raised his right hand.
"fire!!"
As those words left his mouth, several barrages of lazers and bombs flew into the air and straight into the approaching hoard.
"roar!!" The blood-mane lions started dropping one after the other; these weapons were truly powerful taking them out like they were swatting flies.
"puuu"
"bang"
"boom"
" second unit, Reload don't let them regroup." Several high-ranking officers gave commands to the soldiers.
And the soldiers didn't waste time; they grabbed the ammunition and reloaded. They really couldn't afford to let the monsters regroup; if they did, they would be the first to die.
It was not only happening in one part of the battle field; all over the battlefield, lazers and flying bombs were sent flying into the hoard of blood-maned lions.
Back in the city, the civilians and other military personnel couldn't help but feel a sense of security seeing what was going down in the battle field outside the Demon Whale City.
The demon whale army was slaughtering the blood-mane lions in a beautiful manner, that was if you could call that beautiful.
There was blood everywhere
"Don't let your guard down; we expect much more." A voice was transmitted to the high-ranking officers who were standing on the battlefield.
Just as those words came through, a flash of bright light illuminated the sky.
"boom!!"
One of the canons in the defense line went up in flames, flinging the men who were around it a good distance away. The light that had appeared previously was a beam of energy that came from the enemy line.
"We've got a big one," one of the high-ranking officers said into the radio while looking at where the beam of light had just come from.
A giant blood-mane lion slowly emerged from behind the line of smaller blood-mane lions.
It towered over them like a human looking down at mice
"Roar!" it roared, making the other blood-mane lions go crazy.
They ignored their dead and the lazers and went straight for the line of defense.
"We need backup!"
"Don't leave your post unless you think you can outrun a blood-maned lion."
"fire!!"
The battle raged on, but this time the occasional monster fire would easily bring down their canons and other Equipment.
The human army had been pushed into an unfavorable situation; the monsters were pushing them with the help of their leader.
Many equipment fell in the hands of the giant blood-maned lion's long-range attacks, and even till that moment, they had not managed to even land a serious blow to the damn creature.
"When are you arriving?!!" Inside a small vehicle situated behind the line of defense, a lady in greenish military uniform screamed into a communication device.
"I can only move as fast as the big guy can fly." From her communication device, a voice resounded.
The demon whale HQ hand determined that the hoard could not have done as much damage as it did to their outpost without some sort of secret weapon, so they had to prepare one too
"Shhhhggg," a sound resounded through the sky.
From the skyline, two beams of light barreled down at the giant blood-maned lion.
In the sky, a fish-like creature with black inky skin and fins that looked like they could cut through steel like butter could be seen flying towards the battle field.
