After getting all the essential items as well as items that may be needed base on Marco's instinct, they head out happily while Aldo frowned and cursed at Marco in his head.
"Wow~! Master, its only been a few hours yet the scenery has already changed so much!"
Lexi looked out the carriage, amazed like a child who is exploring the outside of his house for the very first time.
"I'm sure you will have a lot of fun once we get to the Vermillion city! They have a lot of things that can entertain us while we are there"
"Really~?"
Lexi asked with sparkling eyes.
"Really, really!"
For the next four days, the two enjoyed each other's company as Lexi learn a lot from Marco's storytelling and the things they went through.
All the new plants and flowers he saw made him experience the different scent and fragrance of the land.
The towns they passed by made him learn that there are others who possess different habits from them.
The mountain's presence that seemed domineering gave Lexi a realization as to how big the world just might be.
"Whoah... Their city is huge and... and lively"
Before even entering the city, dozens of people talking could be heard.
The carriaged stopped.
"Greetings, Lord Marco!"
The guards said in unison.
"We will be entering the city to inquire about something important to the mayor and to the priestess as well"
"There is no need to state your reason why you would come here, lord Marco"
"You and lord Aldo are more than worthy enough to come here whenever you would like"
"Thanks!"
The soldiers made way as they looked up to one of the two saviors of their city.
As the carriage moved forward, people started to gather as they all recognized the unique looking carriage.
"Lord Marco!!!"
The citizens of the city cheered and called for their savior's name, overwhelming Lexi due to the sudden crowd forming which he is not used to.
"Don't worry, they won't do anything"
He said in a reassuring tone.
"Master and Sir Aldo sure are popular..."
"Of course we are! If you want, I will make you well known by the people as well"
Lexi looked around and turned back to Marco with hesitance.
"I... I do not think that I would be able to... handle such a thing"
In a sunken state, Lexi gloomily looked down as he felt he went against his creator.
"If you don't want to, then you won't. Do what you want. Say what you want.
If you want something, get it! If someone else has it, take it! If you can't have it, then destroy it! Just because you exist with the sole reason to serve does not mean I will limit your actions"

Lexi looked up and saw his master's bright smile.
"You are free to do as you wish, so don't be sad about anything. Just make sure you are happy no matter what you do. Only then will you be able to enjoy life. That is what I hope for you, Lexi"
".... Yes, master!"
His conflicted expression faded away as a smile formed on his face.
"I will make sure to live to the fullest!"

After arriving in front of Jarianne's house, Marco and Lexi got off and went on their own ways.
With the desire to tour around the very first city he has visited, Lexi decided to take a stroll around with reliable guards to guide him that were picked by Jarianne herself.
"I assure you that Sir Lexi will not have a problem with those two as his escorts. You see, they are well known by the people and are strong even among my guards"
"I understand. That is why there is no need for you to keep on assuring me"
"That is good. Well... you are the type of person who likes to be straightforward so I will bluntly say what I have in mind...
Are you planning on forming a contract with Lady Lenyas?"
"I am. You're foresight sure is something to be envied about"
"I'm sorry, but there seems to be a misunderstanding here"
Marco stopped eating the food that was handed to him and looked at Jarianne.
"What I and most priests are capable of is to watch an event that is happening from a distance. Those who are able to see what happened in the past and those who could foresee the future are extremely rare"
"So... that's how it works, huh. Then, how did you know that I was going to form a contract?"
"Lord Marco arriving here just a few days before lady Lenyas' arrival, with products to sell at that, seems too good to be a coincidence"
"Since you already know that much, then yes... I am planning on establishing a contract with her. That's the reason why she is coming here in the first place"

After drinking her tea, Jarianne eased up and relaxed.
"With you here, there will be less problem for our mayor to go through with. That is why I appreciate that you have decided to discuss your business matters here so that lady Lenyas' attention will be diverted somewhere else"
"Don't mention it. I, too, have reasons why I decided to come here. Don't worry though, I am not planning on freeloading here"
