The gargoyle spread its wings and flew at full speed to go back to the castle.

Aldo, covered with wounds, stood up and looked at an altar.
Besides the altar, was a merged of dozens of resentful spirits, binded by chains of light.
"Hoooo... this thing sure is suspicious no matter how I look at it. An altar on top of what looks like a temple. Normally, there would be a treasure of some kind in places like this"
Exhausted, Aldo lied down beside the merged resentful spirit.

The merfolk army, determined to kill every single human they see, was ready to give their all to kill five humans if it means they can take revenge on the humans that ruthlessly killed their kin by killing other humans.
"We, the Blue Coral tribe, will give our all to avenge our brethern!"
"WE ARE AT YOUR SERVICE, COMMANDER!!!"
The merfolk army screamed their hearts out.
"We, Merfolks, will slaugther any human, no matter their age or status, all wicked beings should be brought down to the depths of the sea!!!"
"WE ARE AT YOUR SERVICE, PRINCESS!!!"
The merfolk army screamed with resolve.
The merfolks raised their weapons, ready to kill the humans inside the castle they see with their eyes.
"We will not bow down to puny humans! Mere-"

The one hundred merfolk stood still in complete silence as they saw their princess and commander, who is the fiance of their princess, fell down with a hole in their head.
The moment their senses came back, the body of the two already fell down to the ground as the poison corroded their brains.
They all turned around and saw a smoke rising from the castle.
They all then came up to the conclusion that, it was the humans who was responsible for their beloved princess and commander's death.
"Wow, what kind of rifle is that?"

Tony said as he mustered his strength to caress the rifle.

With a smug on his face, Charlie's tension somehow decreased after seeing his expression.
"Anise, can you bring this guy to Marco"
"Understood, master"
Anise then put Tony on her shoulder to bring him to their tone deaf healer.
"It looks like the merfolks are enraged by what happened since master shot down the ones that looked like their leaders"
"With this, we will be able to gauge their military capabilities depending on what action the merfolks will take now that they do not have a leader to lead them into battle"
"I will be now going to do my task, Sir Charlie"

Instead of rushing to battle, the merfolks covered the two in ice to preserve their bodies so that they can give them a proper burial later on after failing to heal them due to the corrosive effect of Anise's secondary poison.
A few hours have passed as the merfolks were standing still from their intial location with a barrier.
"What are these guys waiting for?"
"I don't know. But what I can be sure of is that they are at least a few levels beneath to a group of terrorists from our world in terms of military knowledge"
"Is it because they are staying still, all huddled at that?"
"Yes. After seeing a frigthening power that could kill someone from a far, they didn't bother going somewhere else. But the fact that they did not panick is also concerning. Oh right, you're done healing Tony?"

Although far, they could see that what looks like to be the main army of the merfolks numbered the hundreds.
"You guys won't curse me now that there is several hundred of them, will you?"
"Not really. Though I will be mad at myself for dying as a virgin"
Charlie's head whipped as he turned back so fast after hearing such an absurd words from Marco's mouth.
"You're a virgin? Someone who acts like a player is a virgin?"
"What's so wrong with that? I just have high standards, okay. And I am not the type to just sleep with anyone I shaked hands with!"
Offended, Marco scoffed again.

A continous sound of a beast trying to get out from its cage reverbrated through the land.
"You see what I'm seeing?"

The merfolks released a giant sea serpent after their mages conjured water so that its movements will not be hindered much while on land.

Before Charlie could finish what he was about to say, something fell pushed the sea serpent aside.
"Aldo junior!"
Seeing the gargoyle, the natural enemy of the merfolks, some of them begun to instinctively tremble in fear.
"Mages and priests, continue to support the sea serpent! Infantry, charge!"
With the command from the Blue Coral's tribe chief, the merfolks charged into battle.
"FIRE THE BALLISTAS!!!"
Leon and Persephone loaded the ballista and fired it towards the sea serpent.
"RRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!"
The sea serpent howled in pain after the balista's giant arrow pierced through its scales.
