A faint awareness slowly returned, accompanied by a creeping sensation that tingles throughout her body. Clara opened her eyes and found herself lying beneath the dark night sky. There was nothing to greet her except for the natural scenery filled with neatly growing pine trees. Spontaneously, she rose and scratched at her itchy skin. Sleeping out in the open wild grassland had not been a wise choice.
"Ughh... where am I?" she muttered.
The nighttime atmosphere was accompanied by bone-chilling air. Unfortunately, the bob-haired girl had no memories either. She had just come to terms with the fact that she was in a place that seemed so unfamiliar. Or perhaps, in reality, this place was strangely familiar?
"Hwaah!"
A distant scream shattered the silence of the night. The dark eastern sky began to radiate a reddish hue. The girl could only stare, full of confusion, unable to do anything.
