"Andres, hurry!" "We're going to be late!" Daniel called out to Andres from his seat in the sitting room, where he was waiting for him.
"Calm down, Daniel." It's not a class. It's just karaoke night. We can go whenever we want'. Andres replied from his room.
"I just don't like being the last to arrive." So hurry up, dude!" Daniel called out once more.
"Will Alora and her friend David be there?" Daniel asked calmly.
Andres walked out of his room with a Corny smile on his face.
"I knew that was the only reason you've been rushing me!. You can't wait to see her right?!". Andres teased.
Daniel laughed dryly.
"That doesn't even make sense!". Daniel said.
"Just because I started talking to her doesn't mean that i like her. Because I know that's what you are thinking. Quit that thought.!". He added.
"Ok,ok,ok. my bad. But I think Alora is cool though. And besides you've been single for waaaay too long". Andres teased.
Daniel could only stare at him.
He was short of words.
But why though?.
Yes, Daniel has been single for a long time now. The last time Daniel was in a relationship was when he was in his senior year in high school.
It's was his first and last relationship. A heartbroken and tragic one at that.
There were painful memories that he never wanted to go back to or think about them ever again.
But it's was hard to.
Everyday he wakes up with the realization that he had lost her forever.
Her name was Sia.
"Are you free tomorrow?". Daniel asked,out of the blue.
Andres modded his head, slowly.
"Yea. I think so". Andres replied.
"Let's go see Sia tomorrow". Daniel said.
Andres face immediately turned pale.
He tried to light his face with a little smile as he said. "Okay!. Let's do that!".
They both smiled at each other.

"David no!. I really don't want to go!". Alora half yelled as David struggled to drag her off the bed.
"We didn't go the last time we were invited because you didn't want to. So today we have to go because I want to!". David said out.
"Why do you even want to?". Alora asked.
"I thought you wouldn't even want to be friends with them!". Alora added.
"Well. They are both nice. And there will be girls at the kaoroke tonight". David said as he smiled widely.
"What a pervert!.". Alora teased.
"Then go alone. I have alot of books to catch up on!". Alora said.
"No,no, no!". David shook his head continuously.
"You have to go with me!" David Said.
"Aww...so cute." With a soft smile, Alora said.
"Only because I promised your big brother that I would keep an eye on you." Don't get ahead of yourself. Now hurry up and get dressed, Alora!. We're running late!" Out, David said.
"Ok. "I'll go." Alora relented.
She jumped out of bed on her own.

"Hey Daniel. Andres!". Chad called from behind Daniel and Andres, who were both standing before the counter where their tickets were being prepared.
Chad, Daniel and Andres were friends since high school senior year.
The three boys exchanged greetings with a big smile on their faces.
"Oh.here comes the pretty girls!". Chad said as two girls with blonde hair sashayed over to them.
"Hi Daniel". One of the girls, Ava called.
Daniel did a small wave with a soft smile on his face.
They all knew ava likes Daniel, but what they weren't sure about was if Daniel likes her back.
He always treated her sweetly like she was his little sister.
"Hi Andres!". The other girl, Geena said.
"Hi Geena!". Andres said back with a feigned little smile.
Chad cleared his throat.
"You guys can't get all lovey dovey!. Am still here!". He said.
"Where is your girlfriend?". ava asked.
Chad smiled a little. "Oh. Jess can't make it!".

"Hey guys. You made it!". Andres called out as he sighted David and Alora walking towards them.
David exchanged handshakes with the guys.
Alora tried to wave to Ava and Geena with a smile but gets snubbed instead.
She felt so uncomfortable as Ava stared at her from her head to toe.
She tried to compose her posture while also peaking at Daniel to see if he had noticed it, but everyone had.
"Uh..Okay..let's go in!". Andres said.
They collected their tickets and moved into their kaoroke room.
Andres sat down at the edge of one of the long couch.
He felt a little push as Ava quickly sat beside him.
The others were busy searching for songs to sing on.
He smiled faintly while raising his head and it's landed on Alora, who was at that moment bringing out a novel to read.
Daniel fixed her gaze on Alora.
He watched her sternly as she placed the novel on her laps, she brought out an eyeglass before finally focusing on the novel.
Daniel had literally forgotten that there was someone sitting beside him.
He was so fixed on Alora for a reason he didn't know.
She is beautiful.
he thought to himself.
"What's so interesting about her?". Ava finally asked. After boiling with anger for a few minutes while she was trying to be polite to Daniel,watching him stare sternly at Alora.
"Huh?". Daniel asked , finally regaining his self.
"Who is she?". Ava asked with a frown.
Daniel read the room. He knew how jealous ava can be. They weren't dating but there were still times he had to explain himself to Ava. And he was fine with. She was like an overprotective little sister to him.
"She is just a friend. We literally recently started talking!". Daniel said.
"How can you be friends with a girl like her. She looks too dull and normal". Ava said to Daniel's surprise.
"And why do you think am friends with you ava?". Daniel asked.
His eyes was fixed on Ava this time. He watched as her eyes moved in every direction as if searching for an answer.
"Because you like me!". Ava said. The others turned to stare at them as Ava was a little loud.
"So am friends with you because I like you?. How does that make sense". Daniel said with a little laugh.
He smiled softly as he patted her hair.
Alora was no longer focused on her novel, her eyes were now on them na.
"You are like a little sister to me Ava"? Daniel Said.
Chad shook his head continuously.
"Oh no!. Ava is definitely not going to take that well!".
