After shoving Daniel's hand away from her hair, Ava sat up quickly.
"There's going to be a lot of drama tonight!" Andres said to Chad and Geena, who both nodded.
David and Alora exchanged puzzled looks.
"You already know I'm in love with you, Daniel. Stop pretending to be ignorant while attempting to place me in the role of "little sister." Ava said.
Daniel stood up and sighed.
"I'm just trying to put you in your place." He stated.
"And where do I fit in?" Ava inquired quickly.
"As a friend Ava."
"But I don't want to be just a friend Daniel, I want to be with you." Ava stated.
"It's all coming out now." Chad muttered.
"what about what I want? I respect your feelings, but what about mine, ava? Do you give a damn about them?."
"Of course I do," Ava said.
"Why else would you think I'd stopped being clingy like I used to be? I understand that you are still not over Sia, but you must let go. She has left. But I'm here, and I love you." She added.
Andres and Geena both gasped in surprise.
"Oh no!!."
"Who is Sia?" David inquired, turning to Alora, who urged him to remain silent.
"I'm out of here," Daniel said as he walked away.
"Are you happy now?" Chad also asked Ava as he walked out.
"You should have known not to bring up Sia." Andres said to her as he walked away.
Ava hissed lightly as Geena approached her.
"What?. Do you have something to say too?" She inquired.
"Look, you're my friend, and I've always got your back, but not this time. Sorry." Geena said calmly before leaving.
David looked at Alora. "Should we leave?" He spoke to her in hushed tones. Alora nodded quickly.
_^
"Oh my goodness. I can finally breathe." David exclaimed.
"What was that about?" Alora inquired almost in hushed tones.
"And who exactly is Sia?" David inquired as well.
"She was his ex-girlfriend." Geena stated.
"His last girlfriend." Chad stated.
"The love of his life." said Andres.
When Alora and David noticed the trio behind them, they were both taken aback.
"Wo!. Didn't you guys leave?" David inquired.
"We can't just leave him here like this." Chad said this while pointing to Daniel, who was sitting on a block a little further away.
"Is he all right?" Alora inquired, a worried expression on her face.
"We're not sure. He keeps a lot of things to himself." Andres stated.
"But you are his roommate. Shouldn't you be aware of certain facts?" Geena inquired.
"Like I said, he keeps a lot to himself." Andres responded.
"Is this because of Sia?" David inquired.
Chad, Geena, and Andres all looked at each other.
"Sia passed away. On her way to Daniel's graduation party, she was involved in a car accident." Andres stated.
Alora and David's faces were both pale. Both were completely speechless.
Alora looked at Daniel, her heart breaking for him.
"He still believes it was his fault. He hasn't been able to forgive himself since the incident. He's probably not over her either." Chad stated.
"For God's sake, it's been three years." Geena stated this one.
"Even after eight years, I'm still not over my mother. It's a lot worse than you think." Alora stated.
"I feel for with him." David stated.
"Everyone does. But what happened wasn't his fault. He needs to grasp that and move on." Chad clarified.
"Well, that's the hardest part ," Alora expressed.
"Oh. Where is he going?" David inquired as he noticed Daniel standing up and walking in the opposite direction.
"Isn't that not the way to you guys' apartment?" Geena inquired.
Andres let out a sigh. "That's the way home. His parents live nearby." Andres stated.
"Well, I think we should follow him just to make sure he's okay."Alora stated.
They all agreed and began following Daniel while keeping a safe distance from him.
"This is it." Andres said as they approached Daniel's house. They were all watching as he knocked on the door. The door swung open, and a woman emerged with a big smile on her face.
To avoid being seen, they all ducked behind the bushes.
"James. It's Daniel." The woman called out as she hugged Daniel.
"Oh boy." James, Daniel's father, called out as he hugged him as well. They all entered the house.
"Will he be all right?" As they began to walk back, Alora asked.
"He ought to be. He is at home with his parents. Maybe I should pay a visit to my parents as well." Andres stated.
"Wait. How about a karaoke night?" Chad sought clarification, his voice sad.
"It's not going to happen tonight."
"Wait, what about Ava?" Geena inquired.
"She had to have gone." Andres said, unsure.
"Well, there's no harm in going and checking. Just in case. And she might still be around." Geena expressed concern.
_^
They all got into the kaoroke room.
"I don't want to panic, but where is Ava?." Geena asked already panicking.
Ava was gone. Only her phone and bag were still in the room.
"Where could she be?." David asked.
"Maybe she left." Andres said.
"Leaving her phone and bag behind?. Not possible." Geena stated.
"What if she has actually left?." Alora said in a calm collective tone.
"Am getting scared for real. Let me quickly go ask the lady downstairs." Chad said as he rushed down. The others followed suit after grabbing Ava's stuffs.
^
"Oh,she left".
The guys heard her say to Chad, who turned to them, a look of fear in his eyes.
"She ... She just left?." Chad asked.
The lady nodded.
"Yea. Not long ago. You might still find her if you go out to search now." She said.
They all nodded to each other before going out to search for Ava.
Ava was missing!!!!.
