Chapter 4 - INT Build (Mage)

"Query! 'How to use magic?'"

[Query Received!]

[Required FP: 150]

[Answer To Query: Magic is used by spending 'Mana'. 'Mana' is all around the environment. When you focus on a single thing in you mind and try to think about only one particular thing, you will be able to 'Sense' Mana. How you sense mana depends on you. Many people Sense mana through touch, many people through smell, vision, audio and sometimes even taste. You will understand what you sense mana through, once you start 'Focusing on a single thing'. Mana is stored inside the body. There is only 1 place that can store mana, as that is the only place which is stable. The Heart. Mana is stored around the heart in form of circles. the maximum amount of circles an 'Arch-Human' can possess is 10. The more the circles you possess, the more Mana you can hold, and the more complex the spells you can use. Adding more circles is simple. Just find a suitable way to breath mana (every person's way of breathing mana is different and unique) and continuously train. Once you reach a certain threshold, you can create a new circle and store more mana. You can think of 'Circles' as batteries. The more batteries you have, the more power you will have and the more complex the circuit you can make.]

"Wow... that's a lot... But the guide explained it in quite a straightforward way...", I thought to myself.

I don't know how I can sense mana yet, but maybe I can if I focus hard enough?

I was still quite tired, but I didn't care. I had the ability to learn Magic... No one in the world would not be excited about this!

I sat down on the ground with my legs crossed. And tried to focus on one thing. The only thing that came to mind was my hospital bed. I wasn't sad about it or anything, just a little surprised. I imagined myself lying down on my hospital bed. I closed my eyes and tried to focus on the bed itself. After a good minute, I saw them. Tiny, Azure particles. They were all around the hospital bed I was lying in.

"That's Mana right?... I need to take them in and create a circle with them around my heart...", I concluded in a calm state of mind.

"If I just have to take them in and Build a circle around my heart, I can just do 'that', right?"

I tried to manipulate the mana in the surroundings. It was difficult. Very difficult. But it wasn't impossible. I took the mana and created 2 syringes with it. And then I moved both of the syringes to my veins in both of my arms. In the hospital, they used to regularly inject me with medicine and import blood into my veins. It was something I was very used to. The Mana Syringes injected loads and loads of mana into my veins. I could feel the mana moving inside my veins and then entering my lungs and moving into the heart. It was a strange feeling. It was like there were millions of little insects inside my veins and they were all getting collected in my heart.

I let the syringes run for about an hour. Then, I felt Myself getting tired and extremely heavy. it wasn't that my body became heavy, it was that the mana in my heart was overflowing. The heart's movements became clunky and slow as it was struggling to hold onto so much mana. I quickly removed the syringes and focused on my heart. The syringes dissolved into the environment as tiny azure particles. I was now struggling to pull all the mana in my heart out and draw a circle with it. I imagined the solar system. The heart was the sun, and the Mana circle would be an orbit.

After struggling for at least 2 hours, I was successful. All the Mana in my heart was now outside of it and revolving around in an orbit in the anticlockwise direction.

I then slowly opened my eyes. Time had passed a lot faster than I thought. What I thought was a little over 3 hours, was actually more like 7 - 8 hours. It was the golden hour.
