Chapter 18 - 18

I don't know how long I've been staring on the glass window. The brief flashing lights coming from the cars occasionally passing by lit the room and keeps me awake.

And then the loop of concerns came back to torture me again.

My eyelids are starting to get heavy after quite sometime when I noticed the sliding door creaking open on it's own.

The hallway was dark. I only saw the shadow of someone creeping up on me so at first I thought K sneaked in to stay for the night.

I wanted to catch him off guard so I whispered his name, however, a female voice responded instead and quickly pulled my own pillow underneath my head.

"Die you bitch!"

I gasped at the sudden turn of events and tried my best to escape from the impending death but my position is quite a disadvantage.

My face was being sandwiched in between the bed and the pillow, with a very little flow of air to sip through.

Not to mention I can't use my right hand because the IV drip needle could kill me instantly.

The main problem was my neck is hurting from the uncomfortable angle and it feels like a little more push and one of my veins would pop out of my skin.

Not to mention my fingers just keep sliding down whenever I attempt to grab ahold of the pillow's corner and the more I resist, the harder she presses it.

"Hhhppph!"

I saw my life flash before my eyes, particularly the few good moments I had in my childhood.

My youngest uncle who was bound to go to the military was the only one who had the most time spent on me, in terms of being a family.

He thought me how to fly a kite, ride a bike and basically cook but after he left, he disappeared completely and I don't even have a clue what happened to him since.

Now I wonder if this is the only answer to what I seek.

If I die, Sooha and K will both be free and could probably live happily because she's not a mixed race like me.

Fans might feel jealous and might not accept but many are racists and would prefer their own in picking a couple especially when I'm not at par to their expectation.

It hurts but I'm also tired of him getting so much hate for just being real and honest, constantly got bullied on social media for getting surprised that a skilled and passionate trainee like himself got eliminated and to think it was because of his race.

Antis also get tons of hit posts literally everyday for slandering him, due to scolding a minor in the survival show they were participating in who was being selfish at the time and they never let him breathe since.

They refuse to believe even minors should be held accountable whenever they make mistakes so that they could learn to do better for their own future.

And the irony of it all was those who bully him online for being strict and straightforward were the ones who actively campaign against bullying and racism.

In the end it was revealed that the company wanted to use him to break in their country's conservative music industry and he waited two years just to debut there.

My vision is getting blurry and my ragged voice slowing down. The end must be near because I started hallucinating happy memories.

"Hey!"

A nurse yelled and quickly called for help. The lights flooded the room as I gasp to suck the air back in as soon as the perpetrator got distracted.

There was a commotion soon afterwards, I'm assuming that was due to the intruder trying to escape but the nurse was trying to keep her from leaving.

I accidentally swallowed some of my saliva for attempting to call for assistance using the remote and coughed continuously. My back and neck ached like hell but the pain in my chest won over.

Not long after a few people came rushing in and helped apprehending the hooded woman laying on her chest over the floor.

The nurse finally stood up from pinning her down and fixed her chest disheveled white uniform.

The male doctor who arrived last, quickly went to check on my vitals as soon as the path was cleared up.

He was all sweaty and still on his blue scrubs yet still came to help me after getting a call from one of the panicking nurses.

He was still checking my heartbeat when someone showed up at the door to break the news and even if she tried to keep it low I still heard her high-pitched voice.

"Doctor, I'm sorry but we couldn't revive your patient. She officially died a minute ago."
