"Not when I know that you're still in love with him."
My head whipped in Dorian's direction. I couldn't believe that he just said that.
Like, did he just say that I'm still in love with Derek?
How on earth did he come up with that thought? How could he say that I'm still in love with Derek?
I was dumbfounded. I stared at Dorian in awe. What has come over him?
I wanted so badly to believe that he was joking But the look on his face said otherwise. He was serious.
"Dorian?" I called him again to be sure that someone wasn't impersonating him.
"Hm?" His eyes were bitter and despondent.
"What did you just say?" I asked again for clarity.
"You heard me, Mel," he paused and looked away. "We returned from Mallory ten days ago but it's obvious that you left a part of you there."

How on earth have I acted to make Dorian feel this way?
I mean, he wouldn't say this if he didn't notice something, would he?
Did I probably say something in my sleep?
