FRIENDS - Anne Marie
Everly's POV:
THE AIR IMMEDIATELY changed from tensed_ and somewhat awkward_ to amusing. Well... only in Beth's view.
"Well, Hayden is Dylan's hot, handsome, ravishing_"
"You do know you have a boyfriend right?"
"... best friend that just so happened to be there at the time." She said smugly, and I'm very sure she was trying her best not to smile because of the slight twitching of her lips.
"Before we could even get to you, he had already knocked him out.. or killed him." She mumbled the last part to herself but I clearly heard her but chose to ignore it.
"He's a really fine one, and you need yourself a good fuck anyways and by the look of things, he's probably amazing in_" Maybe it was the sight of my flustered face or red cheeks, but she burst out laughing.
"First of all, TMI. Second of all, I do not need 'a good fuck," I cut her off. Maybe it was the sight of my flustered face and red cheeks, but she burst out laughing.
"Yes, you do." She said with a serious expression on her face that only made this more amusing.
"Oh, and he goes to our school too." She said as she examined her nails like they were the most interesting things in this world, while I, on the other hand, was a wreck.
"And I'm knowing of this now because!?" I asked frustratedly as her laughter filled the whole house.
Hayden's POV:
"Dude, don't do that!" One of my friends, Tyler yelled at Aaron, another one of my friends as they played a game on the PS4 console.
"I'm on your team!" He continued, throwing his arms in the air frustratedly.
I zoned out of whatever they were saying when they started bickering like old women. No matter how I tried to not let my thoughts wonder to last night, my mind wouldn't cooperate. I wanted to know if Everly was alright but I didn't know how to reach out to her without sounding like a creep.
"Are you really serious?" Dylan said before he burst into laughter, which brought me out of my reverie. A very annoying laugh might I add.
"What?" I asked, annoyed when he didn't reply.
"Why the hell are you smiling?" He asked in between his moments of laughter.
"What sort of question is that?" I asked defensively.
"Dude, I've been your bestfriend for like four years, almost five, but I have not once seen you just smile at nothing in particular." Well, he kind of had a point, but he spoke like making me smile was a completely impossible task.
"And I'm pretty sure it's because of a certain brunette." He said with a very smug look on his face.. a smug look I wanted so bad to smack off.
"What brunette?" Tyler asked.
"Oh, it's Ev." Dylan said like it was the most obvious thing in this world.
"Duude," Tyler and Aaron both exclaimed like high school boys before they started laughing uncontrollably. Now I just felt like a plain out fool.
"Hold on, how do you guys know Ev?" I asked trying my best to sound casual.
"What do you mean 'how do you know Ev'? She's here like almost every time with Dylan and Anna, but your busy ass is always not here so..."
"And besides, she only drops Anna off then stays for a while before she leaves." Dylan added.
"Oh," I murmured.
"Yeah, 'oh'" Tyler mocked.
"Do not do that. It's not happening." I answered whatever question that running through his mind.
"Suure," He dragged.
"Just... don't fall too deep," Dylan said before he walked away from us, leaving me thinking about what the hell he just said meant.
