“Is it so easy to tell?”
She shook her head, “not really. But I’ve been surrounded by your kind these past weeks. You all have a way about you. The intense gazes, the mysterious aura. The knowing things you shouldn’t.” She rose a brow at her last statement and he could only smile.
“You’re more intelligent than you look.”
“That should be an insult, but I’ll take it a different way. Thank you.”
“Pardon me, if that came out the wrong way. It’s the big soulful eyes. They give a sense of aloof.”
She merely smiled,
“I’ll go back to Derbyshire with you, sir…”
“Edward.”
She nodded, “Does my cousin know what you are?”
He shook his head, “I’ve never met your cousin. It’s my cousin, Layla, she’s the one who he lives with. But In my opinion, I truly doubt that.”
The fact that her cousin was living with a woman, wasn’t unregistered on her. But something told her there was more to it. And she would know more about that in a matter of hours.
