Kei’s phone dings and she immediately grabs it from the table beside the bed, nearly falling out of it. She prays it’s a message from Nadia, but clicking the notification, she sees it’s from Rika.
R: Hey, want to walk to school together?
Although she’s feeling sad it’s not Nadia, she smiles a little, knowing Rika is smiling behind her own phone. They had barely known each other for a day, but when she found Kei crying alone in the bathroom stall and understood the situation, she didn’t hesitate to comfort her. Since that day two weeks ago, Rika has been spending more time than ever with her, all for the sake of taking her mind off her worries about Nadia.
K: Yes, let’s meet in front of the coffee shop like normal in an hour.
