About three hours later, the two women arrive at Rika’s apartment, both their arms filled with bags. Once inside, they place them down with a huff.
“I think we overdid it, Rika. My arms feel like they’re jelly and I’m pretty sure the bank will be calling me after they see the amount I just spent. I’ve never spent that much money in my life!”
“Ah, it’s fine Kei. You should treat yourself sometimes and it’s not like you didn’t have the money, right? If someone was going to gift you such a large sum, you should utilize it.”
“Well yeah, I definitely had the money, but it still felt strange.”
“You got what you wanted though, right?”
“Yes, I didn’t realize how much I’d picked out until I got to the register. I hope the stuff I bought was alright. I liked them obviously, but it’ll feel like a waste if everyone else finds them ugly.”
