Mark's eyes fluttered open, and he found himself standing on top of the Midlight Tower, one of the tallest buildings in the world. He was surprised to see his mother, who was looking up at the stars through a telescope with a warm smile on her face.
"Mark, look at that constellation over there. It's beautiful," she said.
Mark felt a surge of emotion and tears welled up in his eyes. "Mom, I miss you so much," he said softly.
Suddenly, a mysterious figure dressed in a black coat appeared out of nowhere. Mark couldn't see his face clearly, but he knew that this person was up to no good.
"Who are you? What do you want?" Mark demanded, but the man remained silent. He snatched the telescope from Mark's mother and twisted it with an evil grin.
Mark was filled with fear and anger as he lunged toward the man to grab the telescope back. But the stranger pushed him aside and disappeared into the darkness.
Mark woke up with a start, his heart pounding in his chest. He was still in the hospital room, with his twin younger sisters, Ynna and Ywen, and Uncle Brown by his side. Uncle Brown looked at him with a worried expression on his face.
Mommmm!!! Mark shouted
"Mark, what's wrong?" he asked.
Mark shuddered as he tried to make sense of his dream. "I...I saw my mother. We were at the Midlight Tower, but then a man in a black coat came and ruined everything," he explained, his voice trembling with emotion.
Uncle Brown tried to reassure Mark. "Don't worry, it was just a dream. You're safe now," he said.
Ynna looked up at Mark, her eyes wide with concern. "Kuya Mark, what happened?" she asked.
Mark took a deep breath and forced a smile on his face, trying to look as okay as possible in front of his twin siblings. He didn't want to worry them any more than they already were.
"I'm fine, guys," he said, his voice slightly strained. "Just a bad dream."
Ynna and Ywen looked at each other, still not convinced. They knew their brother well enough to know when something was bothering him.
"Are you sure, Kuya Mark?" Ywen asked, her eyes filled with concern.
Mark nodded, even though his stomach was churning with anxiety. He didn't want to burden his sisters with his problems. They had been through enough already.
"I'm sure," he said, hoping that his voice sounded convincing enough.
Ynna and Ywen exchanged another look, but they didn't press the issue any further. Instead, they held onto his hands tightly, silently reassuring him that they were there for him no matter what.
Mark felt a wave of gratitude wash over him. He was lucky to have such caring and supportive siblings.
Even though he still couldn't shake the feeling of unease and confusion that lingered from his dream. What did it mean? Who was that strange man, and why did he want to ruin his moment with his mother? The questions kept swirling around in his head, but he pushed them aside for now.
Right now, he just wanted to focus on being strong for his siblings. They had been through so much already, and he didn't want to add to their worries. He took another deep breath and tried to push his fears and anxieties to the back of his mind.
he just needed to be there for his sisters and show them that he was okay. Even if he wasn't quite sure that he was.
As the conversation between Mark and his siblings continued, the sun began to rise outside. The soft glow of the morning light filled the room, casting a warm and comforting aura around them.
Uncle Brown glanced at his watch and spoke up to divert their attention. "Hey, kids, it's already 6 a.m.," he said.
Mark quickly composed himself and put on a brave face, not wanting to worry his siblings. "Wow, time sure flies by fast," he said, trying to sound cheerful.
Ynna and Ywen looked at each other and smiled, relieved to see their older brother looking better. They knew he was still recovering, but seeing him smile made them feel a little bit better.
"Yeah, it does," Ynna agreed. "And soon you'll be up and about, Kuya Mark!"
Mark nodded, feeling grateful for his siblings' support. He knew he couldn't let them see him struggle or feel discouraged, so he put on a brave front for their sake.
"Definitely," he said, his smile widening. "I can't wait to get out of here and start living my life again."
Ywen chimed in, "We'll be right there with you every step of the way, Kuya Mark."
"You know what, guys?" Mark said, a smile spreading across his face. "We'll get through this together."
Ynna and Ywen smiled back at him, their eyes filled with hope and determination.
"And we will find mom," Ywen said, her voice filled with conviction.
Mark's smile faltered slightly. even though he is still confused about his mother's disappearance. But he didn't want to dampen their spirits.
"Yes, we will," Mark replied cheerfully. "But for now, let's focus on getting better, okay?"
Ynna and Ywen nodded and the three siblings held hands once again, watching the sunrise and feeling a glimmer of hope for the future.
Uncle Brown noticed something peculiar about his demeanor. Mark seemed to be trying too hard to put on a brave face and hide his true emotions from his siblings. Uncle Brown could tell that Mark was struggling internally but didn't want to burden his sisters with his worries.
"Hey, Ynna and Ywen, why don't you come with me to the canteen to grab some food for breakfast?" Uncle Brown asked, sensing that Mark needed some time alone.
"Okay, Uncle Brown," Ynna replied, looking up at him with her big brown eyes.
Ywen nodded in agreement, and the two of them followed Uncle Brown out of the room. As soon as they were out of earshot,
With a deep inhale, Mark shut his eyes and focused his attention on the steady flow of his breath. His mother's memories inundated his mind, leaving him perplexed and restless. The feeling of bewilderment had been haunting him ever since he woke up in the hospital bed.
What happened to me? Why did they find me in the lake?" Mark contemplated, trying to recover together the forgotten memories that kept flooding his thoughts. He couldn't shake the feeling of confusion and couldn't help but wonder what his dream signified.
