Chapter 34 - Battle of the Apes

I was so focused on Vegeta that I didn't notice when Gohan swung his fist at my body, creating a crater with my body. Emerging from the crater, I dusted myself off, the impact more surprising than painful. Gohan wasn't really that strong, He'd caught me off-guard, that's all. As I steadied myself, my focus narrowed on Vegeta.

Vegeta's booming laugh echoed as he spotted me regaining my footing. "Even with your new form, Celera, you remain beneath me!" His scorn was palpable, his eyes glinting with the thrill of combat and a deep-seated pride. "You don't deserve the power of the legends."

I couldn't help but smile, my Saiyan blood pumping with excitement. "We'll just see about that, won't we, Vegeta?" I called back, tightening my fists, energy crackling around me. The battlefield was my arena, and despite the odds, the thrill of the challenge was what I lived for.

Vegeta, mistaken in his belief that I might be a Super Saiyan made him slightly wary. At 240,000 Vegeta would be the strongest person I had ever faced in a true fight and I couldn't help but smile. Meanwhile, my own power at 132,000, still fell short of his colossal might. This wasn't going to be easy but that's what made it so much fucking fun.

I had a bit of a speed edge, but not by a lot from what I could tell. Every move he made felt like a huge deal, and if his massive arms hit, it would be really bad.

As I prepared to engage, a desperate cry from the battlefield sliced through the tension. Fasha was in trouble and was being relentlessly attacked by almost every great ape.

Goku, or Kakarot as we Saiyans called him, was darting around, helping the Z Fighters. Ignoring Vegeta's taunts for a moment, I shouted. "Kakarot! Help Fasha! She's in over her head!" Goku nodded, darting towards Fasha.

When Goku went to help Fasha, I turned my attention back to Vegeta. The big ape was getting closer to me, each step making the ground shake. It was going to be a tough battle, but I was excited about taking on the prince of all Saiyans in such a challenging situation. My Saiyan blood was bumping I could feel a fire under my skin.

"Come on then, Vegeta!" I yelled, launching myself forward. "Show me the power of a so called true Saiyan prince!"

Our fight was intense, with each of our punches sending shockwaves through the air. Vegeta was incredibly strong, but I was determined to match him. As I shoot a few Ki blasts at him Vegeta's fist slammed into my body, punching me hard into the earth again.

Emerging from the crater with a shake of my head, I barely had time to gather my bearings before Vegeta's massive fist came crashing down. I lifted my arms as His fist slammed onto it. The ground beneath my feet quaked as I took the brunt of the hit, the sheer force pushing me deeper into the earth. Despite the pain, a grin spread across my face.

Kakarot, in the meantime, was furiously darting around, aiding Fasha who was struggling against Nappa's relentless assault. His body flared with the crimson hue of the Kaioken, amplifying his strength and speed. While having tossed something at Piccolo.

Piccolo, having caught the bag of Senzu Beans tossed by Kakarot, sprinted towards Raditz. Kneeling beside Raditz, he quickly fed him a bean, watching as the Saiyan's wounds began to heal almost instantaneously. Raditz's eyes snapped open, energy flooding back into his body. With a grunt of appreciation, he nodded at Piccolo.

Above us, the chaos wrought by Tato, Hanasia, and Gohan in their Great Ape forms was a terrifying sight. The Z Fighters focused their efforts on Gohan, whose tail was still within reach.

Krillin, coordinating with Tien and Chiaotzu, launched a synchronized assault. Tien distracted Gohan with a volley of ki blasts, drawing the young Saiyan's enraged attention. Krillin, using the opening, hurled a Destructo Disc, slicing through the air. The disc met its mark, severing Gohan's tail. The transformation reversed almost immediately; Gohan's massive form shrank rapidly, returning him to his frightened, child self. He plummeted towards the ground, only to be caught at the last second by a relieved Piccolo.

Back in my own battle, I wiped blood from my lip, staring up at Vegeta's towering ape form. "Even if this isn't the Legendary Super Saiyan form, Vegeta, it's more than enough to take you on," I taunted, pushing myself to my feet.

Vegeta roared with laughter, his voice booming across the battlefield. "You're still beneath me, Celera! This form or any other doesn't change that you will always be under me!"

His fist came down again, and this time I was ready. Channeling all my energy, I met his strike with my own, our fists colliding with a shockwave that rippled through the air. The force threw me back, but I managed to stay on my feet, skidding to a halt. I could see Nappa making his way towards me from the corner of my eye.

"Kakarot! Keep Nappa busy!" I shouted, not taking my eyes off Vegeta. Kakarot nodded, his aura blazing as he Shot a Kamehameha at Nappa.

Raditz, now transformed into a Great Ape smiled and charged into the fray. With a roar that echoed across the battlefield, he barreled towards Tato. The collision was monumental, sending Tato who had been Choking Fasha sprawling. Fasha gasped for air, nodding gratefully at Raditz, who turned his fierce gaze back at Tato. "It seems my revenge came sooner than expected. "Raditzs said as he attacked Tato.

Meanwhile, the Z Fighters, along with Kakarot, shifted their focus to Hanasia, who was rampaging uncontrollably. Kakarot's aura flared brilliantly as he pushed his body, "Kaioken Times 3!" His muscles bulged, veins stood out on his forehead, and he launched himself at Hanasia, moving faster than before.

As I squared off against Vegeta, his massive fists swung down like wrecking balls, each blow I dodged sent shockwaves through the ground. A wild, manic laughter bubbled up from my throat, echoing eerily amidst the destruction.

"Come on, Vegeta!" I taunted, dodging another of his crushing blows, And shot some Ki blasts into his face. "Is that all you've got?" My voice was laced with mockery.

Vegeta, infuriated by my taunts, roared back, "I will crush you!" His attacks became more aggressive, less calculated, driven by rage.

Blood dripped from cuts on my arms and face, but I welcomed the pain that fueled my fervor. With each dodge and counter, I felt more alive. Vegeta's frustration was palpable as he failed to land a blow that counted.

The Z Fighters and Kakarot were struggling to contain Hanasia, whose Great Ape form presented a challenge even for Kakarot's enhanced state. Krillin and Yamcha worked to distract her, darting in and out to draw her attention, while Tien and Chiaotzu prepared a coordinated strike.

Amidst the chaos, I felt my Saiyan blood sing with the thrill of the fight. This was what it meant to be a warrior, to stand against impossible odds and smile in the face of danger.

Vegeta, catching on to my state, tried to capitalize on it, aiming for where he thought I'd be. But I was one step ahead, my movements erratic but effective, driven by a wild, almost feral strategy.

As the battle raged on, my laughter grew louder, more unhinged. It wasn't just about beating Vegeta, no it was about putting him under my heel.

Kakarot's voice cut through the din, as he called out commands to the Z Fighters. Together, they managed to execute a plan, severing Hanasia's tail with a combined effort, her massive form shrinking rapidly as she returned to normal, unconscious but alive.

Back at my duel with Vegeta, the ground around us was cratered and scorched. As we both paused, catching our breath, I wiped blood from my cheek, grinning wildly.

"This is what it means to be a Saiyan!" I shouted As I gathered Ki in my hands.

As Vegeta's massive hand closed around me far faster than I had expected, the pressure was immense, his grip constricting around my frame. The raw power of his Great Ape form was overwhelming, and despite my efforts, I found myself trapped, unable to free myself. Blood trickled from the corner of my mouth as I struggled, with my only free hand clawing desperately at his gigantic fingers.

"Kamehameha!" I managed to scream, gathering what little energy I could muster into my free hand. The blue beam erupted, striking Vegeta's face at close range. The blast scorched his fur, causing him to roar in pain and rage, but his grip only tightened in response.

In his fury, Vegeta reared back, drawing in a massive breath. A ball of ki began to form deep within his throat, glowing ominously as he aimed down at me, his intent clear. I was about to be obliterated at point-blank range.

Just as the ki blast was about to be unleashed, a blur of motion intervened. Raditz and Fasha, still in their Great Ape forms, slammed into Vegeta simultaneously. Raditz's punch connected with Vegeta's jaw, while Fasha targeted his midsection. The force of their combined attack sent Vegeta staggering backward, releasing his grip on me as he tried to maintain his balance. The beam shoots up into the sky.

I fell to the ground, gasping for air, my arm hanging limply by my side, clearly broken. As I struggled to rise, Kakarot and the Z Fighters rushed over, concern etched on their faces.

"Celera, you need to back off!" Kakarot urged. His concern was genuine, but it only fueled my frustration.

"I don't need your help!" I snapped, pushing him away angrily. My Saiyan pride flared, unwilling to accept assistance in what I considered my personal battle. Despite the agony from my broken arm, I forced myself to stand, my eyes locked on Vegeta, who was now recovering from the surprise attack.

Tato and Hanasia, having consumed the last of the Senzu Beans, were invigorated and charged towards Vegeta with renewed vigor. They coordinated their attacks, pummeling him with a series of blows that kept the Saiyan prince off balance.

Raditz and Fasha, still towering in their Great Ape forms, rejoined the assault, their massive fists raining down on Vegeta. The prince was now on the defensive, struggling to fend off the relentless onslaught from all sides.

Kakarot nodded slightly and backed off, allowing me to rejoin the fray despite my injury. "Be careful, Celera," he said, his voice laced with concern but also respect.

Ignoring the throbbing pain in my arm, I charged forward, screaming a battle cry. "I'm not done yet, Vegeta!" My voice echoed across the battlefield, a defiant declaration. I launched myself into the air, my good arm cocked back, ready to deliver a powerful strike.

As I descended towards Vegeta, my adrenaline surged, dulling the pain. My fist connected with his cheek, and for a moment, I saw surprise in his eyes. The battle raged on, and Vegeta, battered from all sides, began to show signs of weariness.

Together, we pushed Vegeta back, our combined strength slowly but surely tipping the balance in our favor. Raditz and Fasha worked in tandem with Tato and Hanasia.

Vegeta's eyes blazed with rage, but even he couldn't hold out forever. The relentless attacks finally began to take their toll. Goku's Kaioken-enhanced attacks were particularly effective, pushing Vegeta back step by step.

As the battle raged on, we saw our chance. "Now!" I yelled, coordinating with the others. Raditz and Fasha grabbed hold of Vegeta's arms, holding him in place. Kakarot, using his speed, darted behind Vegeta and grabbed his tail, yanking with all his might. Vegeta roared in pain and fury, but he was unable to break free. With a final, desperate pull, Kakarot severed Vegeta's tail.

Vegeta's massive form began to shrink, his Great Ape body reverting back to his normal size. He collapsed to the ground, panting and bloody. His scouter, discarded and forgotten, lay in the rubble. Goku a ways away from him, breathing heavily. "You've already been beaten," he said, tossing the unconscious Nappa at Vegeta's feet. "Take your friend and leave."

Vegeta, bloodied and enraged, looked up at Kakarot with pure hatred. He grabbed Nappa by the arm, lifting him effortlessly. "I don't need a weakling like you serving under me!" he shouted, tossing Nappa into the air with a dismissive flick of his wrist. As Vegeta prepared to fire a killing blast at the helpless Nappa, I moved without thinking.

Tapping into the last reserves of my strength, I launched myself between Vegeta and Nappa, taking the full force of the blast. Pain exploded through my body, the impact sending me crashing to the ground. I lay there, unable to move, my vision blurring as darkness threatened to overtake me.

Vegeta, momentarily distracted by my intervention, snarled in frustration. With everyone's attention on me and Nappa, he seized the opportunity. Rushing to his space pod and getting in.

"No! He's getting away!" Krillin shouted, but it was too late. Vegeta's pod became a distant speck in the sky, rapidly disappearing from sight.

Kakarot and the others rushed to my side, their expressions a mix of concern and relief. "Celera!" Goku called out, kneeling beside me. "Hang in there!"

I gritted my teeth, trying to push through the pain. "Heh... didn't think... I'd be saving Nappa today," I muttered, my voice weak but laced with a hint of my usual sarcasm. Vegeta had escaped, I could feel his energy getting further away from Earth.

Fasha and Raditz reverted to their normal forms, After Tato destroyed the fake moon. both looking worse for wear but alive. Raditz approached me with a smirk. "You did good, Celera," he said, offering me a hand.

I shot him a look as I couldn't really move, Fasha moving to pick me up. "I take it there aren't any medical pods here," She asked while the none Saiyan's looked confused. Everyone was hurt from the looks of it, while Fasha looked at me. "Can you open a portal? I think it's time we headed home." I nodded, if I wanted to get healed properly then Id needed to head to the country of life. " Giv...e me so...me of your ... energy" And she did. So I used what I had left and opened a portal. As I passed out.

(Give me ya power stones. Pretty plz)
