Chapter 36 - Devil Athletics

After Three days I was fully recovered, I stood outside Yosaku's place, the warmth of the sun beating down on me as I stretched out my limbs, feeling the rush of energy coursing through my veins. It felt good to be back in fighting shape. Tato and Hanasia stood a few yards away, their heads bowed in deep conversation. The intensity on their faces told me they were discussing something important, something that had them both fired up.

I walked over, catching a snippet of their conversation as I approached. "Regal Island..."

"Thinking about another adventure without me?" I called out, my voice light but with a teasing edge. Tato looked up first, his face breaking into a grin.

"Celera! You're back on your feet already?" Tato asked, a hint of surprise in his voice, though I knew he didn't mean it in a bad way.

"You know me," I replied with a smirk. "Can't keep me down for long."

Hanasia chuckled, her arms crossed over her chest. "We were just talking about heading back to Regal Island. There are still some beasts there we haven't taken down. And it's the perfect place to get some good training in for the day."

I nodded, feeling the familiar excitement bubbling up inside me."Sounds like my kind of place. Count me in."

"We're planning to train in the Devil's Athletes," Tato continued. "Get stronger, faster. We want to be able to fight Vegeta on our own next time."

The last encounter with him had forced us to team up on him, and I'll be honest that left a dirty taste in my mouth.

Just then, Raditz appeared from behind a cluster of trees, his expression as serious as ever. "If you're going to Regal Island, I'm coming too. And after this, I'm heading back to Earth. I want to see Launch. So Celera you think you can do your prince that favor"

I raised an eyebrow. "Launch? Sure, my prince." I was being very extra with my hand movement which caused him to roll his eyes and the others to chuckle.

He grunted, his face turning slightly red. "you know what... let's just go train."

I laughed. "Alright, then. But if we're heading to Regal Island, we need to let Mansam know. He's in charge of the place, and we don't want to step on his toes."

Tato nodded. "Yeah, I really should greet my teacher. Plus, I bet Fasha would love to see you again, Celera."

The mention of my aunt brought a smile to my face. "Yeah, Let's go see them first."

We took to the skies, flying toward Regal Island. The wind whipped through my hair as I soared above the landscape, we should reach it in about half an hour. It felt good to be in the air again, to feel the freedom that only flight could bring.

As we approached Regal Island, the dense forests and towering mountains came into view. We descended toward the central compound, where Mansam's presence could be felt even from a distance. That man, I don't think we could take him in a fight even if we were all in our great ape form.

We landed in front of a large wooden building, the main hub of activity on the island. As we walked in, the smell of grilled meat and spices hit my nose, and my stomach growled in response. Typical Saiyan response, plus the smell of many different animals, many of them in glass cages.

Inside, we found Mansam lounging in a large chair, a half-empty bottle of booze in one hand. I see my aunt was limiting his drinking. Despite his relaxed posture, his eyes were sharp. "Well, look who decided to drop by," he said, his voice a deep rumble.

"Mansam!" Tato greeted him with a respectful nod. "We're here to train. Thought we'd tackle the Devil's Athletes."

Mansam grinned, his eyes flicking between us. "You're aiming high, as always. But that's what I like to see. You Saiyans never do anything halfway." His gaze settled on me. "And you, Celera, glad to see you walking already."

"Thanks, I really can't stay in bed all day."

Before Mansam could respond, Fasha walked in from another room, her eyes locking on to me. "Celera! already back to normal." She pulled me into a tight hug, her strength nearly lifting me off the ground. "It's so good to see."

"Thanks, it's good to see you too, Aunt Fasha," I replied, returning the hug with just as much force. "We're here to train, You know, the usual."

She laughed, a sound full of warmth. "Good, next time I might not need to save you."

Mansam stood, setting his bottle aside. "Alright, if you're all here to train, you have my permission, Tato you know the rules. Respect the land, don't kill for sport."

We nodded in unison, With Mansam's approval, we wasted no time heading straight for the Devil Athletics. I followed the others since they knew the way as we flew past a plain of black grass.

As we approached, the chasm loomed ahead. Even from a distance, I could feel the presence of numerous beasts lurking within. We hovered at the edge, scanning the stone pillars that stretched from the depths.

"I can sense hundreds of beasts below," I said, my voice calm despite the adrenaline coursing through me. "Some of them… far stronger than me." I glanced at the others, knowing they could sense it too. "But it'd be dumb to go down where we can't see."

Raditz smirked, his gaze fixed on the mist below. "We stick to the pillars. Let's see how far we can get."

Tato and Hanasia nodded, and without another word, we each chose our own path. No need to gang up on anything, never again.

I landed on the nearest pillar, my boots hitting the stone with a soft thud. Id avoid flying for now if I could help it. The surface was flat but cracked, signs of previous battles etched into its face. I didn't have to wait long before my first opponent made its presence known.

A Razor-Talon Hawk swooped down from above, its wings spread wide and talons gleaming in the dim light. It was a capture level 75. no real threat to me, but a good warm-up. I dodged its initial strike with ease, With a swift movement, I grabbed its leg and slammed it into the pillar knocking it out.

It squawked in pain before its body fell limp. I wasn't interested in eating it, so I tossed it aside, my focus already on the next pillar.

Jumping to the next few pillars, I was met by a Spiked Shell Tortoise (Capture Level 82). I ignored it and moved on, it was slow and had a bad habit of hiding in its shell. No point in wasting my time here.

Each pillar I Jumped to took me deeper into the Devil Athletics, I could sense more powerful beasts waiting further in, but I wasn't about to rush. I'd take my time.

On the next pillar, a Stonehide Gorilla (Capture Level 87) waited, its massive frame hunched low as it watched me approach. Its body was covered in thick, stone-like skin, and I could see it tensed, ready to attack. This one would be slightly tougher, but I welcomed the challenge.

It was something I honestly was playing with. it was stronger than the z fighters, besides Kakarot. But I didn't dodge no I practiced Some of Apachai's moves. I was slamming my elbows and knees into its first every time it tried to attack me. Until It was holding its bruised fists and looking at me warily. "Alright, you big baby get lost!" I flexed my ki and It jumped away to another pillor.

The rest of the creatures I had faced as I moved deeper provided some good training. The strongest one I'd faced so far was a Blightscale Titan [capture level 89] a horrific fusion of crocodile and scorpion, with a long, armored body covered in scales that oozed a toxic green liquid. It was tricky to deal with if I wanted to get close, I could have ended it with a powerful Ki attack but were was the fun in that?

The Titan let out a low, guttural growl, its eyes narrowing as it focused on me. I could feel the venomous aura radiating from it, the air around us thickening with the stench of decay.

I powered up, my ki flaring around me as I prepared for the fight. The Titan lunged, its massive claws swinging toward me with bone-crushing force. I dodged to the side, narrowly avoiding the swipe, and countered with a ki blast aimed at its head. The blast hit, but the beast's thick scales absorbed most of the impact, the poison dripping from its hide sizzling as it hit the ground.

The Titan's tail lashed out, the stinger slicing through the air with deadly speed. I barely managed to duck under it, the toxic liquid spraying from the tip splattering onto the stone and melting it away.

I charged forward, dodging another swipe from its claws and delivering a powerful kick to its side. The impact sent a shockwave through its body, cracking its scales and causing it to stagger, but it quickly recovered, its stinger whipping toward me again.

I leapt into the air, avoiding the deadly tail, and landed a few feet away. The Titan roared, its jaws snapping at the air as it charged again, I dodged to the side, grabbing hold of its tail as it passed and swinging it around with all my strength.

The Titan's massive body crashed into the pillar's edge, tumbling down into the chasm below. I took a moment to catch my breath. My muscles burned with the effort, my arm throbbed from where the Twin-Headed Flame Mantis had bitten me earlier cause I let my guard down, and my knuckles were raw and bloody. But I felt alive and I kept moving.

I glanced around after another fight, looking for a place to take a quick break. I sat down, pulling out at the corps of a Stormbreaker Wyrm I had defeated. The massive creature had been a tough opponent, but now it was just food. Its blood was still fresh, and its flesh had a unique texture that promised a good meal.

I tore off a chunk of meat with my teeth, savoring the taste. It was rich, with a faint, metallic tang from the lightning that had coursed through its veins. The meat was tough but flavorful. As I chewed, I felt my energy returning, the aches and pains fading as the nourishment took effect.

While I ate, I noticed movement on a pillar not far from mine. I squinted, wiping the blood from my mouth, and saw Raditz. He was facing off against a massive beast—some kind of Ironhide Anaconda, a snake with thick, metal-like scales that reflected the dim light. The serpent was easily twice his size, its body coiled around the pillar as it struck at him. The thing about this Univer was first this planet was far stronger than anything I had come across. The air tended to eat any ki base attack the the surface was strong enough to withhold monsters like Mansam and the other if they fought at full power. From what I remember Toriko would reach a point in a year or so where he would be able to fight a super saiyan. If that cross-over episode was right.

Raditz dodged each strike with a grin, his long hair whipping around him as he moved. His muscles were tense, his eyes focused. He was in his element.

I leaned back, watching him fight while I ate. The Anaconda hissed, its massive rows of fangs as it lunged at Raditz again. He ducked under its jaws, spinning around and delivering a powerful punch to its side. The impact rang out like a gong, and I could see the scales crack under his fist.

"Not bad, Raditz," I muttered, taking another bite of my meal. "Show that thing what you're made of."

The Anaconda retaliated, whipping its tail around and nearly catching Raditz off guard. He jumped back, narrowly avoiding the strike, and countered with a blast of ki, aiming for the beast's head. The blast struck with explosive force, but the snake's iron-like scales absorbed most of the impact. It hissed, clearly angered, and lunged again, its massive jaws opening wide. Everything here had gourmet cells, and the stronger and taster meals it ate the stronger it would become. Hell, there were some beasts that if they swung their arms too hard could cut the world in half. But that was something old man Jiro told me, I wasn't so sure.

With a roar, Raditz shot a double Sunday down onto the Anaconda's spine, the energy exploding on impact. The serpent let out a screeching hiss, its body convulsing as blood sprayed from its mouth. Raditz grinned, his eyes blazing with excitement. He didn't let up, delivering a series of rapid punches to the same spot. The snake's scales cracked and shattered under the onslaught, and finally, with a final, devastating blow, Raditz drove his fist through its head, the impact sending a spray of blood and brain matter into the air.

I chuckled, impressed by his display. "Remember no killing unless you plan to eat it."

Raditz jumped down from the dead snake, his chest heaving with exertion but a satisfied grin on his face. He looked over at me, giving a nod of acknowledgment. "Got it, Celera. That was a hell of a fight you had with that Titan." As he started eating the snake, ripping chucked of it with his hands.

I smirked, taking another bite of the Wyrm meat. "You know it. You're not half bad yourself."

As I finished my meal, I felt my strength returning, I was back at 100 percent from the 97 I was at earlier. The meat was doing its job, replenishing my energy. I tossed the bone aside and stood up, stretching out my limbs.

Raditz joined me on my pillar, his eyes scanning the chasm for his next target. "This place is perfect," he said, his voice filled with a mix of admiration and excitement. "The beasts here are strong, but not unbeatable. I was surprised at first how sturdy they were when I first faced one of them."

I nodded, agreeing. "Yeah, It takes a bit to get used to but makes it so much more fun.

"

He grinned, his eyes flashing with determination. "Damn right, it does. Let's keep going, then. No point in wasting time."

I cracked my knuckles, feeling the familiar surge of adrenaline. "Right behind you, Raditz."

With a shared nod, we both leapt from the pillar, heading deeper into the Devil Athletics. As we headed our separate ways.

As we soared through the air, I could see Tato and Hanasia on other pillars, each of them locked in their own battles. And as long as there were beasts to fight, we wouldn't stop. Not until we'd conquered every last one of them.

As I leapt from one pillar to the next, my mind was focused how much time I had, and If I should save Turles? I mean he was Raditz and Kakarot half brother. There was also the fact I'd get to fight Lord Frieza. He was a fucked up guy but strong as hell. As I soared through the air, feeling the wind rush past me, when suddenly, a massive arm shot out from below, grabbing me in mid-air. The force of the grip knocked the wind out of me, and I felt a surge of pain as the pressure tightened around my ribs.

I glanced down, seeing the creature that had caught me. It was a Titanic Armored Ape, a monstrous combination of ape and turtle, its body covered in thick, overlapping plates of armor that gleamed in the dim light. The beast's arm was massive, its hand easily large enough to encircle my entire body. Oh not this shit again.

"Damn it," I grunted, struggling against its hold. The beast tightened its grip. I needed to break free, but no amount of struggling was getting me anywhere. This thing was as Strong as Base Vegeta.

I focused inward, feeling the familiar surge of power. My muscles tensed, my senses sharpened, and I let out a roar as I transformed. "I'm not some fucking Princess to be kept getting grabbed like this!"

My body bulk Slightly as I felt the raw energy coursing through my veins. With a growl, I dug my fingers into the beast's thick arm, feeling its armored skin give way beneath my grip Like cake.

I twisted my body and pulled against the beast's hold. The Titanic Armored Ape roared in frustration, its grip tightening even more not that it could hurt me in this form. I could feel its massive fingers start to crack and break under the pressure of my hands.

With a final surge of power, I wrenched myself free, the beast's broken fingers hanging limp. I landed back on the pillar, my eyes locked onto It. It snarled, shaking its injured arm, its eyes filled with fury.

"Alright, big guy," I muttered, my voice low and filled with rage. "You wanted a fight, now you've got one."

The Armored Ape let out a deafening roar, pounding its massive fists against its chest. It charged at me. But in my Ikari form, I was faster. I walked to the side, avoiding its first swing, and retaliated with a powerful kick to its side. As that chunk of body was ripped out.

I grabbed hold of its armored shell, my hands gripping the edges, I lifted the massive beast off the ground. The Titanic Armored Ape roared in surprise, its limbs flailing as I spun around, using its own weight against it.

With a roar, I slammed the beast down onto the pillar, the stone cracking and breaking beneath the impact. The creature let out a howl of pain, As it fell pillor and all into the darkness below.

As I floated there, I noticed Tato on a nearby pillar, watching me with a look of awe. He nodded, a grin spreading across his face. "That was something, Celera."

I smirked. "Yeah, well, it shouldn't have grabbed me. It's lucky I didn't tear its arm clean off."

Tato chuckled, shaking his head. "You're a damn monster, you know that?"

I grinned, the rush of the fight still buzzing through me. "Damn right I am."

I took a deep breath, letting the power of my transformation settle, as I reverted back to normal. Well, I was already at the end so I just flew across the final gap, landing on the last pillar of the Devil Athletics.

Tato and Hanasia stood on the opposite edge, Raditz was a bit further off, his chest heaving as he caught his breath.

I joined Tato and Hanasia, who were grinning from ear to ear. "You guys make it through alright?" I asked, my voice carrying a note of satisfaction.

Tato nodded, his expression a mix of exhaustion and excitement. "Yeah, we did. These beasts were no joke."

Hanasia wiped a smear of blood from her cheek, nodding in agreement.

"This was fun," I replied, feeling a similar sense of pride in our accomplishments.

Tato glanced over at me, his expression turning serious. "Hey, Celera... That form you used back there Ikari, right? Fasha told us about it and we saw it in the fight against Vegeta. It was... incredible. Could you teach us how to do it?"

Hanasia nodded eagerly, her eyes wide with anticipation. "Yeah, we want to learn it too. It looked like it gave you a huge boost in power. Plus We arent going to let you get so far ahead of us in power."

I considered their request for a moment. It wasn't something I had shared with anyone else before, but Tato and Hanasia were like family and they had the potential to learn it since they had their tail regrown.

"Alright," I agreed, crossing my arms over my chest. "I'll teach you. But it's not going to be easy. The Ikari form taps into the great ape form and you need to know how to control that first."

Tato and Hanasia exchanged determined glances, nodding in unison. "We're ready," Tato said firmly. "We want to get stronger. We're willing to do whatever it takes." Hanasia nodded in agreement.

I grinned, feeling a sense of pride in their resolve. "Alright then, I'll start teaching you as soon as we've rested up and after were are on Earth."

As we spoke, Raditz approached, his expression thoughtful. His one eye glowing white with that strange intensity it had when he had transformed while facing Vegeta without the help of the moon. I turned to him, raising an eyebrow. "What about you, Raditz? You want to learn the Ikari form too?"

Raditz shook his head, a small smile playing at the corners of his mouth. "No, Celera. I've got my own path to follow. My own power to master." He gestured to his eye, the white glow flickering slightly. "This is my path. I'm not interested in your form. I have my own way to get stronger."

I nodded, respecting his decision. "Alright then. Just make sure you don't fall behind," I teased, a smirk tugging at my lips.

He chuckled. "I wouldn't worry about that."

With that settled, we all took a moment to rest, After a while, we gathered together, ready to leave the Devil Athletics behind. " Alright guys lets head to Earth, Though we should visit Gine when we get back. " I commented as I punched the air and opened a portal for us to take.
