In the sterile white medical room, I lay inside my glass pod, feeling like a butterfly waiting to break free from its chrysalis. This was so fucking boring, maybe I should have asked to take over a body instead of being reborn. But thanks to the time I had been here I had strengthened my tail. Which was currently wrapped around my hip. While looking around I couldn't help but sigh.
"Another one's going home today," I muttered to myself as I watched yet another set of parents enter the room, their faces looked bored which I could never really get used to. For three long years, I'd been waiting for my turn to leave this claustrophobic cocoon and start training, to grow strong and fight people. I couldn't help but feel stunted in a weird way. While most MCs from other webnovels I had read on occasion were already training as babies which I found really ridiculous as there wasn't much I could do as one.
I observed the parents as they approached the pod next to mine, filled with a boy who appeared no older than me. The mother gently tapped on the glass, her eyes brimming with tears of joy. The boy inside stirred, his eyelids fluttering open and revealing a pair of normal Saiyan eyes. He looked around in confusion before he finally noticed his own hands tiny and fragile, much like my own.
"Welcome to the world, little shit," I whispered in my head. The boy's gaze fell on his parents, who pressed their palms against the cold surface of the glass.
As the glass slid open, the boy's father reached in to carefully lift him out of the pod, cradling him in strong arms. They dressed him in a tiny jumpsuit, the fabric stretching tight across his small frame, and I couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy. When would it be my turn to get the hell out of this thing? Right, I probably would have to kill people to take over their planets for Lord Frieza, I'll have to deal with those emotions once I got to that.
"Another day, another disappointment," I sighed, my breath flowing into my feeding mask that also supplied air. My fingers touch the glass, trying to distract myself from the gnawing desire to be free.
"Your time will come soon, Celera," I told myself, willing the universe to hear my plea. "You'll leave this pod behind, and finally begin the journey you've been dreaming of."
I watched as the family left the room, it was still weird to watch Saiyan parents interact with their kids. It wasn't like Earth where they would be happy talking in those weird voices parents do with their babies, as they would act more like strangers would. The medical room felt emptier than ever before, leaving me to ponder when my own freedom would finally arrive.
Just as I was about to sink back into my thoughts, the entrance of the medical room hissed open, revealing three figures. My heart raced at the sight of Bardock and Gine. The woman next to them, however, was a mystery to me. The woman's Short dark hair was not even going past her neck.
"Is that her?" the woman asked, looking directly at my pod with curiosity. Her voice was calm, but there was an undercurrent of something else perhaps anticipation?
"Yep, that's Celera," Gine confirmed, her gentle voice soothing my anxious heart. Oh no, don't tell me I had a crush.
"well she will have to wait a bit longer then," Bardock said gruffly, stepping forward.
As they approached Raditz's pod first, I couldn't help but feel odd. Was it finally happening? Was I about to be released from this prison, and the thought excited me. I watched as they clothed Raditz in a jumpsuit similar to the one I had seen earlier, and then made their way towards my pod.
The mystery woman, stepped up to my pod, her gaze locked on mine. She seemed to be searching for something within me, but I wasn't sure what it could be.
"So you sure you can do this Fasha?" Gine asked as she turned to look at the woman who was with them.
"Well It can't be that hard right" She joked, As she reached out to open my pod, I braced myself as the liquid drained and my feeding mask was removed.
"Welcome to the world, Celera," Fasha murmured as she opened my pod, her voice filled with warmth and affection.
was this my mother? Hmm, I think I remember her being a part of Bardock's team. For now, I stayed silent as she lifted me out of the pod.
"Let's get you dressed and ready to go," Fasha said, as she removed the metal pant with the long tube connected to it, before passing me a jumpsuit and helping me to put it on.
"Excited to finally be free?" Gine asked softly, her motherly demeanor put me at ease.
"Definitely," I replied, trying to keep my excitement in check. I had waited for this moment for so long, and it was finally happening. But for now, I just had to know who Fasha was.
"Who are you?" I asked Fasha, trying not to sound too demanding. I needed to know who she was and what her role would be in my life.
"Ah, I'm sorry we haven't been introduced properly. I'm Fasha, your aunt," she explained with a warm smile. "I've come to take you home and look after you."
"Where's my mother?" I questioned, feeling a strange mixture of curiosity and apprehension.
Fasha exchanged glances with Bardock and Gine before continuing. "Celera, your mother Died while away on a mission. It's a shame she never got the chance to meet you. But I promise to do my best to take care of you."
The news surprised me, but I didn't feel the overwhelming sadness one might expect. After all, I had never really known my mother, and my life up until now had been spent inside the glass pod. Instead, I focused on the future and the new opportunities that awaited me.
"Thank you, Fasha," I said sincerely, looking into her eyes. "I'm ready to go home."
"Good," Fasha replied, smiling reassuringly. "We'll make sure you become a strong Saiyan warrior, just like your mother would have wanted. But for now first things first, I need to know what I'm working with." as she said that she lifted a finger and tapped a button on her scouter. The familiar beeping noise rang out.
"Well would you look at that Just got out and you're already this strong," she said with a smile. As I began to hear the beeping noise again I turned to see Bardock looking at me as well.
"1,300 not bad your mother would have been proud," he stated,
" what about my father?" I asked kind of curious about it.
"Don't know I've never met him" He said as I looked over to Fasha she shrugged as well.
With that, Fasha lifted me into her arms, and we made our way out of the medical room, Bardock, Gine, and Raditz following close behind. A whole new life awaited me outside these walls, and I couldn't wait to experience it all. I grabbed my aunt's scouter which she didn't seem to mind. As I equipped it, looking at Raditzs I clicked the button and watched as the numbers began to rise before stopping at 517. Well, he was definitely stronger than Kakarot, wait I mean Goku, why did I call him that?
As we continued to walk through the facility, I noticed how some Saiyans around us, were in medical pods and as I scanned some of them, they were a mix between 200 and 3000. They were pretty strong and I couldn't wait to fight some of them when I got the chance. As for the others, the weaker ones I wouldn't waste my time on them. Turning my attain to Bardock, I wondered how strong he was right now. Well shit, a whopping power level of 9,400. Seems like he was close to reaching that 10000 mark he had in the manga. Turning to Gine, hers was a disappointing 1030, well at least I know where Kakorat got it from. Still Bonus Points for being cute I thought. Finally turning my head to Check Fasha, 2000 Hmm. like I thought about Gine she would also get bonus points for being cute. Well, cute wasn't really the word, perhaps badass would be better?
"Hey, I have a question, how strong was my mother?" I Asked deciding to see where she stood in power.
" My sister had a power level of 5000 its why she managed to become a Elite" Fasha answered. Well, that's good given that they never trained.
My heart raced as my anticipation grew. I knew that I was young, but thankfully I was mature mentally, and ready for the challenges that awaited me in this new life. Maybe I could convince Fasha and Gine to train with me. I'd definitely save Them both. Well maybe.... no that wouldn't be a good idea... unless, maybe..... No bad thoughts.....
"Remember, Celera," Fasha said, her voice filled with a mixture of pride and caution. "Being a Saiyan warrior is all about having power and fighting. Your mother was a great example of that, she never hesitated to fight people even if they were stronger than her."
I nodded, taking her words to heart. I knew that there was more to being a Saiyan than simply battling; I needed to learn strategy, discipline, and tact. The excitement within me only grew stronger as I thought of the opportunities I would have to grow and improve.
Finally, we reached the exit of the medical facility, the bright sunlight streaming in through the large doors. My eyes widened as I took in the bustling Saiyan city before me, towering structures, flying warriors, and the cacophony of daily life. It was overwhelming, but it was everything I had been waiting for.
"Are you ready, Celera?" Fasha asked, her gaze locked onto mine. I could see the pride in her eyes, as well as the determination to help me succeed.
"Absolutely," I replied, my voice filled with excitement that had bubbled over.
"Alright then," Fasha said, a smile crossing her face. "Let's go home."
With that, Fasha, Bardock, and Gine took to the air, carrying Raditz and me as we soared above the bustling city. The wind whipped past us, my eyes struggling to keep up with the speed at which we were moving. I had never experienced anything like this before.
As we flew, I couldn't help but ask questions about everything I saw below. "What's that building?" or "Why are those Saiyans fighting?" My curiosity was insatiable. Fasha and Gine patiently answered each question, while Bardock chimed in with occasional gruff remarks.
"Those Saiyans are sparring," Gine explained as we passed by a group of warriors locked in combat. "It's how we hone our skills and grow stronger."
"Remember, Celera," Bardock added, his voice stern but not unkind. "Strength isn't just about raw power. It's also about control and knowing when to strike."
I nodded, taking in all the information and advice they offered. I knew that if I wanted to become a great Saiyan warrior, I needed to learn from the best, and there was no doubt in my mind that they were the best example to follow at the moment.
As we continued our journey, the scenery changed from the dense urban landscape of the city to the more rural outskirts where individual homes were located. It wasn't long before we reached our destination, and Fasha announced that we had arrived at her home.
"Here we are," she said with a warm smile. "we can spar later if you want, Celera."
"That sounds good to me," I replied.
Before parting ways, Bardock placed a firm hand on my shoulder and looked me in the eye. "You have a lot of potential, Celera," he said. "Don't waste it."
With that, Bardock and Gine took Raditz and headed off towards their own home, leaving Fasha and me to settle into our new life together. As I gazed upon my new surroundings.
Upon entering my new home, I was immediately struck by the scent of sweat which wasn't bad, it kinda smelled nice and a few pink Leotards scattered across the floor. It wasn't a big home but still, it was nice.
"Let me show you your room," Fasha said, guiding me towards a door across from what seemed to be her room. The walls were pretty plain, I guess she wasn't one for home decoration but then again neither was I.
She opened the door to a small but cozy room, filled with sunlight filtering through a small window. "This is where you'll be staying. It's not much, but I hope you like it."
"Thanks, it's good enough for me, besides it beats the glass pod any day," I replied sincerely, feeling grateful for the thought and effort she had put into preparing this space for me. Which also caused her to laugh a bit.
"Good," she said, smiling warmly. "Now, let's get you settled in by taking a bath, come let's go"
After that, we had head to the back of the house, where she grabbed me and flew us away towards the outer lands of the city towards a training ground.
In the vast training grounds, I could see other Saiyans fighting or as they called it training. As Fasha landed and set me down I clenched my small fists tight, a mix of excitement and nerves coursing through my veins. Before I took a few steps away and turned to look at Fasha, finally taking the time to look at her properly. Fasha had a strong presence that caught my attention. She stood tall and confident, she was honestly beautiful. Fasha's eyes were a deep shade of brown that held a captivating gaze that drew others in. Fasha's physique was well defined, and her battle worn Saiyan armor hugged her form, which hugged her form which made it nice to look at. Well, that wouldn't be a problem in the future, but for now, it was time to fight, so I took the brawler stance that I had always used while on Earth.
Fasha grinned and took her own stance, The other Saiyan warriors paused their own sparring and decided to watch us. My heart pounded in my chest as I met Fasha's gaze, Yes this is what i lived for.
"Ready to take me on, little warrior?" Her voice carried a hint of excitement.
"I'm ready, Fasha!" I shouted a bit too loudly, as some of the older Saiyans chuckled.
I lunged forward, moving as swiftly as my small legs could carry me (which would still be faster than any human could do at the moment) As I swung my fists, Fasha. Her movements were fluid and precise but were still faster than I could move, thankfully I could still track her movements.
With each passing moment, Fasha's skill and experience became increasingly evident. Her counters were quick and well placed, showcasing her prowess. And once she started to strike back, her kick caught me in the side sending me crashing back into the ground. Quickly I rolled out of the way as she followed up with a dropkick where I once was. As I got up, I held my side as I thought 'Right, note to self, avoid getting hit as much as possible.
She rushed me again and forced me to focus on blocking much more. Her strikes were powerful, leaving me with little room to counter. Crap did that Little bit of difference in power level make that much of a difference?
As she swung I finally had a chance, dodging I got closer and threw a series of rapid punches and kicks. Each one forced Fasha back a bit, But her smile was growing even bigger. While the other Saiyans had been watching began to cheer. Throwing a kick toward her chest I felt it connect as I pushed her back. My own smile grew As we rushed each other again. For a while we kept exchanging strikes and as I was about to land another strike Fasha Flew into the air while grabbing my arm. Spinning in the air before throwing me into the ground.
After crashing into the ground, I was too tired to get back up. Loud cheers rang out all around me as the sound of feet touching the ground next to my head sounded.
"Not bad, not bad at all. You did well for your first fight Celera. But for now, let's head home and rest." And as I moaned out in pain, Fasha picked me up princess style, and carried me back home.
Over the next few weeks, I began adjusting to life with Fasha. As I would spend time with her, she was teaching me how to use a system terminal to see what missions were available, and how to get my own scouter. She even took me to get my own style of Bodysuit. I decided on a pink one similar to hers, but more proper. While I also got some knee pads, and a chest plate without shoulder pads. I was even taught how to fly, and I learned a few moves from her.
During one of our evening meals, Fasha mentioned an upcoming local fighting tournament. "It's a great opportunity for you to test your skills," she suggested, her eyes gleaming with excitement.
"Really? You think I'm ready?" I asked, unsure if I had made enough progress in such a short time.
"Of course!" she replied confidently. "You have natural talent, Celera, and you've been working hard. I believe in you."
Her faith was honestly a nice boost to my confidence and I decided to enter the tournament. As I prepared for the event, I couldn't help but think that maybe I should have asked her to see if Bardock would be willing to teach me as well, but that could wait for now.
"Remember," Fasha said as we stood on the edge of the tournament grounds, "no matter what happens today, you are a Saiyan. You have the blood of warriors running through your veins. So you are not allowed to lose. Besides, if you do well, you might be able to do missions sooner than expected."
