Pov Gine
As I approached Fasha's house, the sun was sinking in the sky, casting long shadows across the ground. Bardock was walking beside me as his tail wrapped around mine, though others saw him as a powerful warrior he did have a soft side when he was alone with me. Taking a moment I looked over Fasha's house, it was a bit smaller than ours, Bardock's, and mine.
while Raditz followed behind us, Bardock hadn't had time to train him so I had tried my best on that front. Even though I didn't enjoy fighting like the others did. Every once in a while, Fasha would come by to ask for help raising Celera, though the young girl seemed very mature, making things easier for fasha.
It had been a month since she and I had collected our kids. Raditz had been a bit harder to raise than I had expected, but I still loved my hard-headed son. Speaking of which, he was holding my hand as soon as we were out of sight of other people. Bardock was waiting outside Fasha's house door, arms crossed over his chest, a smirk playing on his lips.
"Hey, Gine," he said, grabbing my attention, "Are you sure you will be alright, taking care of them both today?"
"Of course, Bardock," I replied, my cheerful voice contrasting with his deep and rugged tone. I walked over to him and gave him a kiss. The sound of Raditz making grossed-out noises came which caused me and Bardock to laugh a little. He pushed himself off the wall, and we entered the house together. Inside, Fasha was busy strapping on her battle armor, looking every bit as fierce as she always did.
"Oi, Fasha! Gine's here for Celera." Bardock called, announcing our arrival.
"About time," Fasha grumbled, rolling her eyes. "She's in the kitchen, probably stuffing her face. You know how she loves her food."
"Can't blame her," I laughed, knowing my fondness for delicious meals. Maybe I could get her to help me in the food department. Heading towards the kitchen, I found Celera seated at the table, engrossed in her plate of meat. She looked up, her eyes lighting up when she saw me.
"Gine!" she greeted me while wiping her hands on a rag before I rushed over to hug her. "Are we going to the training arena now?" She asked as I held her in my arms.
"Yep! Raditz will be joining us too," I confirmed, ruffling her hair affectionately. The sound of heavy footsteps signaled Bardock and Fasha's approach, and I turned to find them ready to depart. while Raditz has an annoyed look on his face, which I found cute.
"Take care, Celera," Fasha said, softening her usual gruff demeanor for a moment as she came close and took Celera and hugged the girl tightly. "We'll be back soon."
"Be careful on your mission," I added, exchanging glances with Bardock. He nodded, his reassuring aura shining through as always.
"Let's get moving," Raditz announced, breaking the moment. Celera rolled her eyes at him as Fasha let go.
"Alright, let's go." She sighed, grabbing her scouter and following Raditz out the door. I shared one last look with Fasha before we went our separate ways. She and Bardock would meet up with the rest of their team for their mission, As for me, I'd go support the kids at the training arena.
As we walked towards the arena, I could hear Raditz and Celera bickering behind me. It was nothing new. It was almost like they had a sibling rivalry always present in their interactions.
"Hope you've been practicing," Raditz taunted, "You wouldn't want to embarrass yourself in front of everyone."
"Shut up, if anyone going to get themselves embarrassed, it will be you," Celera snapped back, She had this toothy grin on her face, which I could see from the corner of my eye.
"Keep telling yourself that, little Celera," he chuckled, ruffling her hair and earning a glare in return. I guess he thought that since he was bigger, it made him older than her.
Despite the teasing, I couldn't help but feel a swell of pride for both of them. They were growing up so fast, each day bringing them one step closer to becoming formidable Saiyan warriors. As we neared the entrance to the arena, I knew that today would be another important milestone in their lives.
End Pov
The Saiyan training arena loomed before us, a large, open-air space that seemed to stretch endlessly into the sky. The dirt floor was churned up from countless fights, with deep gouges and craters marking the earth where powerful blows had landed.
A raised platform stood off to one side, reserved for the elite Saiyan adults to observe the children's training, or at least that's what Gine had told me. It was here that I would fight maybe slightly bully some other kids around my age.
As we entered the arena, the buzz of excitement was palpable. I could see other Saiyan kids gathered in groups, chatting and laughing, while a few engaged in impromptu sparring matches. I could see Raditz's eyes light up at the sight. I was going to 100 percent fuck up the storyline a bit, but hell it would be fun.
"Alright, you two," Gine said, addressing us both. "Today you will be assigned to teams remember to give it your all!"
"I always do, Mom!" Raditz replied confidently, his chest puffed out with pride. Which made him seem a little silly in my eyes.
"I'll be the best or nothing at all!" I chimed in, determined not to be outdone by Raditzs. With that, we both ran off toward the other kids, leaving Gine behind to find a place on the observation platform.
It wasn't long before a Saiyan came up who was called Zorn from the murmuring I could hear from the other kids. They were one of the Saiyan instructors who stepped forward to address the gathering. His booming voice echoed throughout the arena, commanding everyone's attention.
"Children! Today is the day you will form your teams for the upcoming training tournament!" he announced, his eyes scanning the crowd. "Each team will consist of three members, and you will work together until you have reached the required level to take on missions."
At that moment, I was a bit curious about his power level so I tapped on my scouter, and the familiar beeping noise rang in my ear. 4,001 Hm, not bad at all, I thought. Shame there were already some gray hairs on his head.
As murmurs of anticipation rippled through the crowd, Zorn continued. "Raditz," he called, beckoning as he lifted his head from a pad-like device. "Your team will consist of Rycelo and Turles."
Two young boys, both eager and wide-eyed, stepped up to join Raditz. One seemed strangely familiar to me. The one called Tullec looked an awful lot like Kakarot.
As I looked around thankful no one else looked similar to each other. Maybe that one was one of Bardock's kids? Saiyans didn't marry like humans did so it could be possible. I'd have to ask Fasha once she came back from her mission. I took a moment to look them over.
Rycelo had a lean build with sharp features, his spiky black hair was a bit different than I had expected, His spikes from his hair were all pointing downward, almost giving the illusion of straight hair. While he had a blue headband tied around his head. He exuded an air of confidence, almost bordering on arrogance.
Turles, on the other hand, was slightly taller and had broader shoulders than his new teammate. His hair was identical to Goku's and Bardocks's, Only difference was he was a bit darker skinned. While Rycelo seemed to embrace the typical Saiyan personality, cocky and self-assured.
Turles appeared more reserved and calculating as if he were constantly planning his next move. One of the instructors had given me a list with two other people's names on it. It seemed these would be my team members.
"Alright, Celera," I said to myself as I scanned the crowd for my teammates. "Time to meet the rest of your new gang."
A boy and a girl seemed to be waiting for someone, their eyes darting back and forth between the approaching Saiyan children.
Well, time to scan them I thought as I didn't know how to sense ki yet. The boy had a power level of 600 and the girl was at 550. It wasn't bad, but it could have been better, I thought. No matter time to see if they were my team members or not. If they were I could help them get stronger by training.
"Are you Tato and Hanasia?" I asked, With a straightforward tone.
The boy, Tato, grinned broadly and nodded. "That's us! You must be Celera," he replied, his voice a bit cocky. He was a bit taller than me, with a stocky build and a mop of curly black spiky hair that was almost as long as Raditz's, and bounced as he spoke. His eyes sparkled with excitement. His armor was a mix of grey and brown.
Hanasia, the girl, gave me a small smile and inclined her head. She was the same height as me, but a bit more slender, with long black hair almost the same length as Tato's. There was a quiet strength in her eyes, which reminded me much of my friend on Earth. but it looked like I was the only one in the group with somewhat short hair.
"Nice to meet you both," I said sounding confident. "I guess we're a team now."
"Looks that way," Tato agreed, clapping me on the shoulder. "Let's make sure we give everyone a good show."
"Nice to meet you," I heard Hanasia say softly, her voice carrying an air of determination and grace.
"Likewise," Tato replied, his own enthusiasm bubbling through his words.
As we continued to get acquainted, it was clear that despite our differing personalities, we were all driven by the same desire, to become the strongest Saiyan warriors possible. We chatted about our fighting experiences so far, how we each developed our unique fighting styles, and what we hoped to achieve in the upcoming tournament.
"Alright, team," Tato announced, clapping his hands together. "We need to pick a leader. The other warriors will be watching."
"Agreed," Hanasia said quietly, her eyes serious. "A strong leader can make us even stronger than we are now."
"Let's base it on power level," I suggested, it was already clear to me that I would have to be in charge again like in the past but it was easier to make them come up to that decision on their own. "It seems like the fairest way to decide."
"Fine by me," Tato replied, grinning. "Might as well get this over with."
"Alright, on three," Hanasia instructed, and we all raised hands to our scouters "One… two… three!"
As they scanned each other, it became apparent that I held the highest number among us. it being at 1,380. I couldn't help but grin as I watched their mouths open. "Looks like I'm the leader!" I said almost the same way someone would when taking out the trash.
"Congrats, Celera," Tato said, offering me a genuine smile. "You'll make a great leader."
"Thanks, Tato" I replied, as I scratched the side of my face with my finger "Now, let's get ready for the tournament."
"Alright, gang," I said firmly, looking each of them in the eye. "We're going to give it our all in this tournament. We'll show everyone what we're made of, and losing is not an option"
"Agreed!" Hanasia replied, her voice ringing with conviction.
"Let's do this!" Tato shouted.
As I looked out over the tournament grounds, my heart pounded with anticipation. The arena was a massive expanse of open-air space, a dirt floor spanning an impressive distance beneath our feet. Six large rings marked the battlegrounds for the day's fierce competition. Above us, a raised platform offered a vantage point for the adults to observe our fighting, or as they called it training.
"Attention, young warriors!" Zorn's commanding voice rang out, silencing the excited chatter amongst the children. "The teams have been set, and you will remain with your designated groups until you have proven yourselves ready to take on missions at which point you can continue with, or split up from them."
Around me, I could feel the determination in the air, each child eager to prove themselves the strongest. I glanced at Tato and Hanasia, even if they were a bit weak now that wouldn't always be the case. And I doubted there would be anyone here right now who would provide a challenge to me, let's hope I'm wrong.
"Let the battles begin!" Zorn declared, and the arena erupted in cheers as the first twelve groups were called up to fight.
Tato clenched his fists, his eyes filled with fire. "This is it, guys," he said, his voice steady despite the intense energy that surrounded us. "We're going to show them what we're capable of."
"Right," Hanasia agreed, her gaze unwavering. "We'll give it our all, no matter what."
I nodded, It was kind of cute how excited they were, though I could understand as I felt my own blood pumping. As we watched the other groups make their way to the rings, I couldn't help but feel interested, The show never covered what happened on planet Vegeta much so this was all new to me.
"Alright, team," I said, my eyes locked on the battles unfolding before us. "Let's use these fights as an opportunity to study our opponents."
"Good idea," Hanasia murmured, her focus shifting between the various clashes. "That way we know what they will try to use on us."
As I scrutinized the intense combat, I found myself a bit disappointed by the display of my fellow Saiyan children. Their movements were awful, each strike was more of a wild throw. It made me wonder what my team members would fight like, oh boy I might have my work cut out for me. Even if I was just a street brawler I at least know how to throw a punch.
"Look at that!" Tato exclaimed, pointing to one of the fighters in the far ring. "He's using his speed to outmaneuver his opponent. That's something we can definitely incorporate into our own strategy."
"True," Hanasia agreed, her eyes narrowing as she took in the scene. "But we also need to be careful not to underestimate our opponents. They'll likely have tricks up their sleeves as well."
"That was fast?" I said, confused because it seemed slow to me, tapping on my scouter it showed the girl who had moved "fast" power level to be 800. Maybe that was fast for them for that reason, she was a bit strong. "Well, maybe there will be interesting fighters here."
As the first round of battles drew to a close, the intensity of the arena only seemed to increase. Soon enough it would be our turn to fight, I looked around and noticed there were a few alien races here as well, watching the fights. Must be Freeza's men, probably keeping tabs on us.
"Stay focused, guys," Tato reminded us, his voice firm but also trying to sound reassuring. "We've got this, and I'm sure we will crush them all."
"Yeah this will be as easy as shit," I replied, offering him a smile.
"Let's give it our all," Hanasia added.
"Next up Celera's team against Raditz's team!" the announcer bellowed, his voice echoing across the arena.
A grin was plastered on my face as we stepped into the ring. The ground felt rough beneath my feet, and I could see the excitement in the eyes of my teammates. This was it, it was finally show time.
"Good luck," Hanasia added softly, giving me a reassuring smile. Her brown eyes sparkled with determination.
The first battle commenced: Tato against Rycelo. They circled each other cautiously, sizing each other up. Rycelo was taller and bulkier than Tato, but I knew my teammate was faster. He needed to use that to his advantage.
"Your speed won't save you!" Rycelo sneered, lunging forward with a powerful punch.
Tato dodged easily, using his agility to dart around Rycelo. "You'll have to be quicker than that!"
I could see Rycelo growing more frustrated by the second, his face reddening with anger. Tato continued to evade him, landing quick jabs and kicks whenever he found an opening. Finally, Rycelo roared with rage and charged at Tato, who nimbly sidestepped and tripped his opponent. Rycelo hit the ground hard, and Tato wasted no time in pinning him down.
The crowd erupted into cheers as Tato pinned Rycelo down, even Hanasia cheered as well from beside me. They were roughly the same in power level with only 20 points in difference. Rycelo squirmed beneath Tato's grip, his frustration palpable, but he refused to admit defeat.
With a determined glare, Rycelo summoned his strength and pushed against Tato's hold, managing to break free for a moment. oh, would you look at that I thought as his power level reached Tato's. He scrambled back to his feet, a fierce determination burning in his eyes.
"I'm not done yet!" Rycelo growled, wiping the dirt from his cheek.
Tato grinned, he was getting cocky I thought as a smile was growing on his face. "Good! I was hoping you'd put up a fight," he replied his own energy surging.
"He might lose if he's not careful," I said to Hanasia who turned to look at me confused. They lunged at each other once more, fists flying, as their fiery clash continued.
Tato kept relying on his speed and agility, slipping past Rycelo's powerful strikes but just barely. He weaved around his opponent, and as he tried to strike him, he caught a fist in the face.
Rycelo, undeterred by his initial setback from earlier was delivering heavy blows aimed at overwhelming Tato. Each punch was like a meteor, that hit Tato into the ground.
Tato managed to kick Rycelo away as he got off the ground bruised, his taunting smile now gone.
As the battle raged on, both Saiyans pushed their limits, finding new reservoirs of strength within themselves. As their power rose one point at a time. Every hit was returned by another, I was getting excited by this.
With every punch and kick dodge, They were getting better at fighting, not as sloppy as before. The Saiyan spectators were cheering even louder than before, turning to look around I noticed a woman in what seemed to be a purple cape with a shiny gold headband looking at the fight from the top balcony.
That's weird I thought before turning my gaze back to the fight.
As they circled each other again, the arena seemed to crackle with electricity, charged by their unyielding energy. In a dazzling display of acrobatics, Tato somersaulted over Rycelo's attack, landing behind him.
Before Rycelo could react, Tato executed a swift move and kicked him in the back of the head. As Rycelo was in the ground Tato stamped on his head causing the boy to pass out.
"Winner: Tato!" the referee declared, raising Tato's arm in victory. Not bad at all I commentated to myself as Tato made his way over and sat down. While Rycilo was carried away.
"Nice work," I congratulated him, clapping him on the back as he returned to our side.
"Thanks," he panted, grinning.
"Now it's Hanasia's turn," I said as I looked at her and pointed to the arena.
Hanasia entered the ring, facing off against Turles. He had a cocky grin plastered on his face, clearly underestimating her. That would be his downfall.
"Let's see what you've got, little girl," he taunted, smirking.
Hanasia didn't respond, simply narrowing her eyes and focusing on her opponent. She took a deep breath and charged at him, unleashing a flurry of punches and kicks that caught him off guard. Turles tried to regain control, but Chirei was relentless, her attacks precise and efficient.
"Come on, Hanasia!" I cheered, clenching my fists in anticipation. "You can do this!"
Turles attempted to counterattack, but Hanasia anticipated his moves and slammed her fist into his own. She was overpowering him and it was proving him too much, and soon he was panting heavily, struggling to keep up. With one final powerful punch, Hanasia sent him crashing to the ground.
As Turles hit the ground, the arena shook with the force of the impact. Hanasia stood victorious, her chest rising and falling with each deep breath she took. The crowd erupted into cheers, impressed by the young Saiyan's remarkable display of skill and strength.
Hanasia's eyes blazed with determination as she kept a close watch on Turles, her guard still up. She knew better than to underestimate her opponent, and she wasn't going to let her guard down just yet.
Turles, bruised and disoriented, struggled to get back on his feet. The cocky grin that had adorned his face earlier had disappeared, replaced by a mix of surprise and frustration.
"You little brat!" Turles growled, rubbing his jaw where Hanasia's punch had landed.
Hanasia remained calm and composed, her confidence radiating. She had proved herself as a capable fighter, and she wasn't about to let Turles's taunts get to her.
Turles lunged at her again, attempting to catch her off guard, but Hanasia was ready. She sidestepped his attack with ease and retaliated with a swift kick to his side.
The battle continued, both Saiyans refusing to back down. Hanasia's relentless assault had taken its toll on Turles, who was now visibly exhausted. His attacks became sluggish, and his movements were less precise.
With a burst of energy, Hanasia leaped into the air, delivering a powerful aerial kick that sent Turles sprawling backward. He crashed onto the ground once more, his body trembling with fatigue.
Hanasia stood tall, her victory assured. The crowd's cheers reached a crescendo as they celebrated her triumph. She approached Turles, her gaze steady as she extended her hand to help him up.
As Turles grabbed it he pulled her forward and slammed his fist into her gut, causing her to exhale sharply as he followed up by pushing her into the ground and punching her repeatedly in the face. Until she passed out.
"Winner: Turles!" the referee announced, and the other team erupted in cheers.
"You did good, Hanasia!" Tato exclaimed As they took her away past us.
"Damn she let her guard down," I said, annoyed, not at her but for that cheap move. "Now it's your turn, Celera," Tato said.
My opponent would be Raditz, sorry bud, but I'll be taking out my frustration on you.
"Give it your all," Tato added, nodding seriously.
Taking a deep breath, I stepped into the ring. Raditz smirked at me, his confidence clear. "Ready to lose?"
"Hardly," I retorted, Oh I was planning to toy with him, no I had an even better idea. "Why don't you bring your friends along, make it more interesting."
The crowd turned into an uproar once they heard those words, as I turned my eyes towards the instructor who nodded the go-ahead.
"Bring it on," he challenged, as both he and Turles confidently stepped into the ring with power levels lower than mine, my plan started to take shape. I knew that my own power level of 1,380 gave me a significant advantage even if this was a two-on-one battle.
The crowd's excitement escalated as they witnessed the rare spectacle of a kid eager to take on multiple opponents at once. My smirk mirrored Raditz's as I looked at the duo before me.
"Let's make it more interesting," I proposed, tossing away my scouter dramatically. "I'll give you both a chance. Attack me together, or one after the other, it doesn't matter."
The challenge was met with incredulous glances from Raditz and Turles. They were unsure of my intentions but couldn't resist such an opportunity to prove their strength.
"You're asking for it!" Raditz declared, his Saiyan pride flaring.
Without hesitation, they both charged at me, their energy levels surging. I was unfazed, my confidence bolstered it was time to test the power of the smart cells in my body.
As they lunged at me, I didn't even evade their attacks. Their hits hurt but not as much as they should have at all though I did turn with the blows to lessen the damage even more. I guess there was a limit to what the smart cells could do right now based on my body. Right, it wouldn't do me any good to keep tanking damage so I deflected their strikes and countered them with measured blows.
Their frustration was palpable as they realized their attacks were falling short. It was time for me to go on the offensive. I needed to keep them on the defensive, making it difficult for them to coordinate their attacks effectively.
As Raditz and Turles attempted to regain control, I decided to give them a taste of their own medicine. I quickly closed the distance between us, delivering a swift punch to Raditzs while kicking the other one in the chest, which left them staggered.
Then, with a burst of energy, I unleashed a powerful ki blast, I shouted "Breaker Shot!" It sent them both flying backward. It had been the one Fasha had taught me to do. I'd have to experiment some more with ki, as I still couldn't sense it in others. They crashed to the ground, their faces etched in pain.
"You're going down!" Raditz shouted, his pride wounded.
Turles rose to his feet, determined not to back down either. Their spirits ignited once more, and they charged at me again, this time attacking with renewed fury.
And just like what happened with Goku and Piccolo, I was dodging their strikes. And attacking back with strikes of my own.
I could see their exhaustion growing, their energy levels were dropping as they began to slow down.
"Aww come on that can't be everything," I said while looking at them somewhat bored. This wasn't truly the case, I was enjoying this too much and I didn't want it to end so soon.
Raditz and Turles groaned, struggling to get back on their feet after my devastating blow. They exchanged glances, a mixture of frustration and determination evident in their eyes.
"You think you've won, huh?" Raditz grumbled, wiping a trickle of blood from his lip.
Turles's jaw clenched, his pride refusing to be completely subdued. "We're not done yet," he said, his voice defiant.
I chuckled, my fake boredom dissipating as I saw the fire reigniting in their spirits. "Good! I was hoping you'd give me more of a challenge," I replied, my smirk returning.
The crowd, who had been stunned by the one-sided battle, started to cheer once more. They were eager to see if Raditz and Turles had more fight left in them.
With a burst of energy, Raditz and Turles charged at me once again, their determination pushing them forward. I welcomed them back as my fist clashed with Raditz's while Turles kicked me in the side, pushing me back.
Their attacks were fiercer and more coordinated. I found myself on the defensive, having to put more effort into evading and countering their strikes. Now this was what I was talking about, that's right push me I thought as I smiled.
Raditz delivered a powerful punch, and I dodged at the last moment, feeling the wind of his attack brush against my skin. Turles followed up with a swift kick, which I narrowly blocked.
This time, their strategy was to keep me on the back foot, not giving me the chance to attack. It was a smarter approach, one that was putting me in a corner.
I needed to end this battle, but not with a decisive blow. I wanted to push Raditz and Tullec to their limits, to show them that even in defeat, there were lessons to be learned. Sorry, Kakorat but this is more fun if they're stronger.
With a quick maneuver, I dashed back, putting some distance between us. "You're doing better," I acknowledged, "but you're still not good enough."
Their pride bristled at my words, and they launched themselves at me once more, their attacks becoming even more aggressive.
I deflected their strikes matching their fury with my own fury. I could feel them slowing down, While I didn't even feel tired at all. Shame it looks like it was time to end this.
In a sudden burst of power, I released a dazzling Light Pink energy, enveloping the arena in a radiant glow. Some of the spectators gasped as the energy surge intensified. While Others tapped their Scouters, 1,500.
Raditz and Turles were momentarily blinded by the radiant display and were thrown back and slammed into the outer walls.
The energy dissipated, and I lowered my guard, Flying toward them as they were barely awake as they slid off the wall. standing before them with a composed smile. "You fought well," I said feeling refreshed. "You've got potential, both of you."
Raditz and Turles were breathing heavily, their shoulders rising and falling as they tried to catch their breath. They exchanged surprised glances, not expecting my praise after their defeat.
"Keep training," I continued, "and maybe one day, you'll be strong enough to face me again but I doubt it," I said with a teasing smile.
The crowd applauded, impressed by my power. I had pushed Raditz and Turles to their limits, but I had also shown them respect and encouragement in their pursuit of strength.
"Really trying to encourage those weaklings" an all too familiar sounding voice came from behind me. Smiling As I turned my head to Look at the mother fucking Prince of the Saiyans Vegeta.
