Chapter 16 - Ch 16 A Deal

Hiraeth went to the market while carrying a bag made of wheat sacks. In the bag there were quite a lot of fish. From the beginning Hiraeth had prepared himself to get a lot of fish, so as he brought an extra bag to carry it, because he was worried that his bag would be damaged if he had to hold the fish inside it.

Hiraeth had indeed prepared himself for such a situation, or rather he was grateful that his prediction was right. He was lucky for getting a lot of fish from the trap he left in the river, even though there were snakes in it. Because of that he went to the market to earn money by selling fish. He expected everything would go well.

Hiraeth walked, ignoring people who asked him about what he was carrying. Of course he refused to give any answer as he didn't want to be taken advantage of. He could never be taken advantage of by such a dirty trick, nor he intend to sell it to traders because he would get less profit as they would make a bid until the lowest price, then rose the price when they re-sell it.

A simple trick performed by traders to suppliers. It might not a matter if the goods sold in large quantities by optimizing sales, but if on the contrary happened, it would provide losses to the supplier, while the trader still made a profit.

Hiraeth remained confident to walk forward, even though he had no idea the right price for each type of the fish he had. He was blind to such a thing as he never had a matter related to this kind of thing.

In his previous life, when he was still the Young master of Evescent He only sold magic equipment such as war attributes, health and so on which could make it easier for humans Even though that was not only the business the Evescent family had, in fact his family was the main leader and 40 percent of the business was owned by his family, Evescent. 20 percent belonged to the Kingdom, and the rest belonged to some witch family.

In addition, in the previous life he just helped the people to optimize the yield and crop quality without knowing the real costs. So far the one who managed the finance in the Evescent residence was his mother, he just focused on strategy development before finally moved to the Royal Knight group. Even though in the end he died betrayed by the Royal Family.

Even though he never dealt with lower-class business, he was very skilled in looking for opportunities and taking advantage of the surrounding circumstances. As at the moment, he was looking for someone who could help him to sell all the fish, without being loss for selling them too cheap. He was pretty sure and confident about it, what else did he have?

Hiraeth's footsteps stopped when he saw an old woman sitting down alone. She had no table, just rolled up her wares and covered them with tarp, it didn't matter, as long as the woman was a honest person. In addition, the reason he chosen the woman was because she didn't like other traders, she only sold a little flour, a little fruit, and a few vegetables. Her wares were not sold out, even though she sold few wares.

"Can I help you?" the woman asked when she saw a teenager standing in front of her with a wet sack in his hand. She was curious what was in the sack.

"Madam, I want to make a deal with you."

"A deal?"

"Look, I have fish inside it. I'll give it to you if you want to help me to sell this fish." Hiraeth showed her the sack , and the old woman was shocked when she saw there were a lot of fish in the sack.

"How many fish do you have?" the woman was surprised when she knew that the sack the boy was carrying in front of her contained fish.

"Five fish of this size." Hiraeth showed one of the fish which was the size of a palm.

"Just help you?"

"Exactly, help me to determine the price." Hiraeth didn't want to lose as before, he would maximize the best price on each fish, and he believed the old woman could do it with her experience so far.

They reached an agreement. The old woman lent Hiraeth a tarp that happened to be unused. The old woman helped him to separate the type of fish and its size, then she explained the right price for the fish.

Owen occasionally squealed as if he was attracting people's attention to turn to him. When people searched for the source of the sound, then found Owen, it could be sure that they saw Hiraeth's ware.

Some of them went shopping as they wanted to address Owen, or just asked about him. Because of Owen's help, all the fish was sold out before the night came, even not left a single fish.

"Madam, thank you for helping me. This is for you." Hiraeth handed over one piece of gold.

"I don't need it. You've paid for my service with this fish. After all, it's not me who helped you, but your pet."

"No problem. Let's just say that it is as a rental service of this tarp. Maybe next time I'll borrow it again."

"Alright. Thank you."

Hiraeth tidied up the place where he traded. After everything was tidy, he began to surround the market to shop.

Hiraeth pulled out a piece of paper from his bag, then he began walking in search of the ingredients he needed.

"The first, I need some milk, I need it more. If I want to have healthy bones, of course I need some milk. Then..."
