The voice told me to move ahead, so I did. The disembodied fear of my subconscious mind that was attempting to impose the fears of my waking mind in my dreams. I would do what it wanted so I could move on from this place, but that didn't mean I was going to like it.
On and on I walked through the dream tunnel, but nothing changed. The walls, the floors, all of it remained the same. The only things that told me I was moving were the shifting shadows on the ground, mine and those of the unseen presences surrounding me.
"Will this ever end?" I sighed exasperatedly as I moved onward.
"Only when you accept that this is not a dream, and you allow me to speak to you. Until then, your mind will continue in this loop, endlessly preparing you for the meeting ahead of you."
"And who are you exactly?" I asked the unseen man.
"Accept that I am here to speak with you, and you will see."
