Walking through the door and coming out at the mountains took almost no time at all. It was no different than walking through any normal door in any traditional home or business. You passed right through with no delay. Me, Lex, and Rudy were in my office one moment and the next we were standing in the midst of chaos with the light of the fight flickering across our faces.
We had appeared so swiftly, and the door disappeared so quickly, that the others had yet to notice our arrival. Had they been looking at the door for the five or so seconds it was visible, they would have realized immediately, however, they hadn't been looking at us, so our arrival had gone undetected.
