After having a late breakfast at Rika's place, I left to go back to mine and Ilana's condo. However, I didn't leave with my cousin. Instead, I was riding in an unfamiliar car. One that was being driven by my new mate. It was exciting, in a way, but I was also very nervous.
In my nervousness, I was a lot more talkative than I should have been. I felt like I should keep the conversation going, because if Reggie got bored then she wouldn't want me as a mate anymore. It most likely wasn't true, but it was an irrational fear that was coursing through me.
