Samantha made her way down the grand staircase, the hem of her dress swishing behind her with every step. The ballroom was filled with vampires, werewolves, and other supernatural beings, all dressed in their finest attire. The room was alive with the sound of music and laughter, and the air was thick with the scent of exotic flowers and expensive perfumes.
As Samantha and Lucien entered the room, all eyes turned to them. The couple was the epitome of beauty and power, and everyone could feel the electric chemistry between them. Samantha could feel her cheeks flush with embarrassment as she realized that she was the centre of attention.
Lucien led her to a table at the front of the room, where they sat down to enjoy the festivities. As they ate, danced, and mingled with the other guests, Samantha couldn't help but feel a sense of foreboding. She knew that something important was going to happen tonight, but she didn't know what.
It wasn't until the music stopped and Lucien took the stage that Samantha realized what was about to happen. The announcement of her coronation.
"My dear friends," Lucien began, his voice carrying across the room. "Tonight is a very special night. For tonight, we celebrate the coronation of Samantha, my beloved mate."
There was a collective gasp from the audience, and Samantha felt her heart skip a beat. She had known that this was coming, but the reality of it still felt overwhelming.
Lucien continued, "As you all know, Samantha is not yet a vampire. But that will soon change. As her sire, it is my duty to initiate her into our world."
The room fell silent as Lucien stepped down from the stage and approached Samantha. He took her hand in his and looked deeply into her eyes.
"Samantha, my love," he said, his voice low and intense. "I am about to sire you. I will give you eternal life, and we will be together forever."
Samantha felt a surge of emotion rises within her. She loved Lucien with all her heart, but the thought of becoming a vampire scared her. She had seen the darkness and the brutality of the vampire world, and she wasn't sure if she was ready for it.
Lucien leaned in to kiss her, and just as his lips touched hers, there was a loud bang. A thick smoke filled the room, and Samantha could barely see her own hand in front of her face.
When the smoke cleared, Samantha was gone. Lucien looked around the room, panic in his eyes. He had lost his mate again.
Aiden and Leo had finally gathered enough supplies and planned enough to rescue Samantha. The plan was to infiltrate Lucien's castle during the ball, where all of his guards and followers would be distracted. Aiden and Leo wore masks to conceal their identities and blend in with the crowd. They made their way through the castle, taking care to avoid any guards that they came across.
As they approached the ballroom, they could hear the sounds of music and laughter. Aiden's heart was pounding with anticipation and fear. He knew that they were taking a huge risk by being there, but he was willing to do anything to save Samantha.
When they entered the ballroom, Aiden was struck by the opulence and grandeur of the room. He had never seen anything like it before. The guests were all dressed in their finest attire, and there was an air of excitement and anticipation in the room.
Aiden scanned the crowd, looking for any sign of Samantha. And then he saw her. She was sitting at a table with Lucien, looking beautiful and radiant. Aiden felt a pang of jealousy and longing in his chest.
As he watched, Lucien took the stage and announced Samantha's coronation. Aiden's heart sank. He knew that they had to act fast if they were going to save her.
When the smoke bomb went off, Aiden sprang into action. He darted towards Samantha and grabbed her arm, pulling her towards him. "Samantha, it's me, Aiden. We have to go. Now!" he shouted over the chaos.
But Samantha just looked at him blankly. "Who are you? What's going on?" she asked, her eyes wide with confusion.
Aiden felt a cold chill run down his spine. Samantha had lost her memory. He realized that they were in even more danger than he had thought. He grabbed her hand and pulled her towards the exit, with Leo following closely behind.
As they ran through the castle, Aiden couldn't help but feel a sense of dread. He knew that they were being pursued by Lucien and his followers. And he knew that their escape would not be easy. But he was determined to keep Samantha safe, no matter what it took.
