Samantha stumbled as Aiden pulled her towards the exit. She was lost, confused and scared. She had no memory of who she was, where she was or who Aiden was. She tried to pull away from him, screaming for him to let her go.
"Let me go! I don't know who you are! What's going on?!"
"Samantha, please, we have to leave now. You're in danger," he pleaded with her, his voice shaking with urgency.
"Where are we going? Why are we running?" she asked, trying to make sense of the chaos around them.
Aiden didn't answer but pulled her towards a hidden passage that led out of the castle. They ran through the winding tunnels, with Leo following close behind. Samantha stumbled and tripped, but Aiden kept a tight grip on her hand, never letting her go. Finally, they emerged outside, in the cool night air.
"Where are we?" she asked, still trying to piece together what was happening.
"We're in the woods outside the castle. We have to keep moving," Aiden said urgently.
"Who are you? Why did you take me?" Samantha demanded.
"I'm Aiden. I'm the alpha of a werewolf pack. You and I were close. But then you left. And now you're in danger."
"I don't remember any of that. I don't remember you. And I don't know why I'm in danger," Samantha replied, tears welling in her eyes.
"You don't remember anything?" Aiden asked, his concern growing.
"No. It's all blank. I don't know who I am or where I belong," Samantha replied.
"You belong with me, Samantha. You always have. And I'll keep you safe, no matter what," Aiden said, taking her hand.
Samantha felt a strange pull towards him. She didn't know why, but she felt she could trust him. "Why do I feel like I know you?" she asked.
"Because you do. You're my one true love, Samantha. And I'll do whatever it takes to help you remember that," Aiden said.
Samantha's eyes widened in shock. "Your one true love? But... I don't remember any of that."
"It doesn't matter. We'll figure it out together. I'll help you remember who you are and what we mean to each other. I promise," Aiden said, squeezing her hand.
Samantha couldn't shake the feeling that there was something important she was forgetting. She had a nagging sensation that she couldn't quite place. "Aiden, there's something I need to tell you," Samantha said, her voice shaking.
"What is it, Samantha? You can tell me anything," Aiden replied, looking at her with concern.
"Lucien. He's my mate, Aiden. I know it doesn't make sense, but it's true. I feel it in my bones," Samantha said.
Aiden's face hardened. "Lucien? That vampire prince? Samantha, he's brainwashing you. He's manipulating your mind and your feelings. He's not your mate."
"No, Aiden, you don't understand. It sounds crazy, but he's the missing piece of my life. I feel a connection to him that I can't explain," Samantha said, tears streaming down her face.
"Samantha, how could you choose him over me? I was your everything, your lover. How could you betray me like this?" Aiden asked pain in his voice.
"Betray you? How dare you accuse me of betraying you? You don't even know me
